Hotel Pomorie Sun

A recent holiday turns out to be a nightmare all inclusive the food was disgusting the staff were very snotty we had the make my room sign on door for 5 days before we got clean bedding the bins were never emptied and we had to grab towels off cleaners trolley’s when we passed them. The pool and pool bar were faultless apart from the one eyed life guard who could hardly swim and the old man gardener who would cut the grass when everyone sunbathing throwing dust and grass all over everyone we ended up spending an extra £1500 on eating out and nearly every restaurant wanted either 1 or 2 lev just to go to the toilet even had people sitting outside toilets if you didn’t pay it they wouldn’t let you in PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL don’t ruin your holiday you worked all year to pay for Cheers Bowlt69

So the review I am about to give this Balkan holiday hotel is 100% true and is not only my own opinion it is also the opinion of many other people I have spoken to whilst holidaying in the Pomorie sun Hotel sunny beach Bulgaria. So prior to coming to this hotel I actually read some reviews that already alarmed me., So I made an attempt with Balkan to change my hotel . I was sadly told this was going to cost me my wife and daughter another 1k on the already 2k+ holiday price. So yes the price is good for the three of us anyway. So when asking the Balkan holiday call centre about changing they said please don't belive the reviews you read this hotel has been newly refurbished and is very nice. So reluctantly we kept the same booking. We arrived at the resort at 11:30pm and was not greeted by the hotel staff we had to wait at reception until 2 young men finally appeared. There English was very broken. But this was no issue as we are in another country and should except ofcourse. We were shown to our rooms and we were pleasantly surprised to see a very nice clean room. With TV fridge air con all in perfect working order. Well done promerie. I realised that my daughter did not have any bedding for her pull out bed so made my way back to reception again to wait for somone to turn up.i explained to the young man that there was no bedding he said sorry no bedding until 8am when maid service starts. So understandly I came back to the room and told my daughter and wife to have the beds and I slept on pull out with towels under and over me. The following morning was woken by the made service in the hall so asked for some sheets etc. Sorted. So we actually went out to the pool area to commence our holiday and enjoy the beautiful sunshine and pool. Sunbeds already taken up by all the guest who had made there way down to hold sunbeds with towels which again the hotel did nothing about. Fair enough we can overcome this by being selfish to,and coming down to put towels early morning sorted again. So let's talk about the All Inclusive . So u have paid for an all inclusive holiday which I have been doing since ce my daughter was a baby and have never ever experienced anything like the quality of food and drinks you will receive here (Appalling ) If you do come all inclusive which I very strongly suggest you do not, at this hotel you will be treated like you have not paid for your holiday. The bar is only one little room in the building for all inclusive patrons where the staff are very very rude and refuse to talk to you, and almost grunt when u ask for your small plastic beaker of chosen drink that they can't be bothered to fill to the top. Rembering I have been to many all inclusive hotels three others in bulgaria that were nothing like this one for the way everyone was being treated. Again we try to be polite abd think it must be a tough job so if you don't get a full drink just ask for two and fill one from the other. Sorted again . So at this point

Despite the reviews I have red I book my holiday there. One of my best experiences, very good location, very good value for the price I’ve paid. But mostly was the friendly staff . They did their best to meet all customers needs . This hotel need to put a bit more the prices up because the services we get there it’s for 4 star hotel not for 3 . It was to affordable and if it’s more expensive they can offer more. The management and staff are on the right track so all they need is more income and i will be happy to pay more next season and spend more time on the very sane hotel. Thank you so much to all.

We arrived late at night to be greeted with smiles and a warm welcome and shown to our room. We had been upgraded to one of the newly refurbished family suites which was beautiful and clean. After a lovely nights sleep we got up on our first morning we discovered the toilet flush was faulty, we reported this to reception and it was repaired immediately. Breakfast was satisfactory, I enjoyed the continental selection, fruit, yogurt and coffee machine. We then went off to the pool, thinking we would be too late for a sunbed as in previous years people put towels out the night before only to discover a sea of empty beds around the pool. People are obviously more civilised at this time of year !! Beautiful beach and sea in front of the hotel and lots of bars, restaurants and shops close by without the hustle and bustle in the Centre. The pool, pool bar and snack bar were fantastic. All staff were very friendly and Steve the rep was extremely helpful. The entertainment wasn't up to it's usual standard but I assume that this was because it was nearing the end of the season. The hotel was spotless and rooms were checked, towels replaced, etc daily. I would always return to the Pomorie Sun but on a Bed and Breakfast basis NOT All inclusive. Thank you Balkan and your amazing staff for another fabulous holiday.

Room Basic .Bedding and towels clean.Furniture very dusty .Cleaner was lovely and came daily changed towels and emptied bin .Decent enough to get your head down .Pool bar and staff who own it are amazing and make you feel very welcome .Good location .Plenty of options to eat out locally .

This hotel is very clean and tidy, rooms very clean and tidy, bedding and towels changed 4 times a week. The swimming pool is massive, best I’ve experienced and the food next to the swim up bar is excellent, cooked to order. The gentleman who cooks the food is a great bloke as is the barman at the swim up bar. Stayed here 3 years on the trot and would highly recommend.

We do basic but this hotel should not hold any stars. Supposed to have Wifi but hot spotted off next hotel so it was never available. Absolutely no good for kids/teenagers. Hotel has had a refurb (not a good one) it is dirty. Stained furniture, rugs and carpets. Rooms never cleaned (we found the previous occupants shoe in our room) proving it has not been cleaned. Tiled floors were sticky never washed. Couldn't lock the bathroom door for three days said they would repair - ended up taking the handle to reception to prove it's broken! Room so small the door to the balcony wouldn't open fully - surely this is a fire risk. Staff rude and unhelpful. Witnessed bar staff chucking rubbish out of the back of the hotel. We booked a trip and the rep wouldn't take a card payment! Come on Balkan holidays remove this hotel from your listing it's awful.

Absolutely awful hotel. Here now since the 2nd and can’t wait to go home. Food is disgusting drinks are bad, they’ve ran out of coke and rose wine. No choice of food’s just the same crap day in day out. My view is nice of the beach 4th floor but my room stinks!! Hotel staff are rude. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

Terrible no toilet flush for 3 days.no clean towels or bed changes.not very clean at all. Food was cold same thing every day pork, chiclen legs. No cups for tea at breafast ,no knoves at dinner. Asked for room near entrance low floor as possible,got 3 floor miles awway hubby in a wheel door about 6 doors to open on wayhard pushing a wheelchair .gave us a nother room but with 6 flights of stairs. So stayed where we were.staff rude not helpfull .i do not reccomend this hotel
