It was very comfortable. There are several Japanese staff members, so even those who don't speak English can use the hotel with peace of mind. The pool was large and had two types, seawater and freshwater, and the atmosphere was very nice, with palm trees, a sandy beach, and a cave.

Suitable for parents and children!
It’s perfect for taking care of children! There are many saltwater snorkeling pools. Snorkeling in the hotel is safe!
Facilities: Although it is a bit old, it is very clean. Most old hotels in Australia seem to be like this.
Hygiene: clean and tidy
Environment: Very good, relatively quiet area, very close to the beach

The room was not as big as the description, and the overall look was very dark, so the whole room seemed a bit worn out. In addition, Ctrip's room description includes breakfast, but after many inquiries and communication with the hotel front desk, I said that there is no corresponding provision. I had stayed at all the MVCs in Asia and this is the last one that I stayed at. This MVC is situated within the JW Marriott unlike the other MVCs which are separate from the Marriott hotels. The view I got from my room is gorgeous, overlooking Surfers Paradise - we never got tired of that view. Facilities are shared with the JW - the swim pools are great for kids but we seldom spent any time at the pool since the beach itself was just minutes away. Service was excellent. Daily cleaning service for our room. Kitchen was good with microwave and grill. Highly recommended this MVC.

We booked a room the Marriott Vacation Club accidentally, not realising it was different to the hotel part of the Marriott- so entirely our fault, but the room was so incredibly disappointing I didn’t even want to be in it. It is incredibly dated and old as others have commented, but in addition it had a dented fridge, depressing overhead white lighting in the bathroom and more. Very different to the photos. We tried to see if we could cancel/upgrade ourselves over to a hotel room or a better Vacation Club room as it was an emotional occasion, but because we had booked through Orbitz it couldn’t be done, which we understood. It wasn’t cheap at over $450 a night either - just a sad experience overall. One plus is the staff are really really nice.

We were surprised to find that the MVCI accommodation was part of the JW Marriott Hotel … quite a bonus from our perspective. We had a two bedroom unit on 17th floor that was very spacious and had amazing views. We stayed here for a week with our son and his partner and it was of the highest MVCI standard. Unlike most properties, daily visits from housekeeping were provided. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. Plenty of places on site to eat … our favourite was Citrique … and plenty of places in Surfers Paradise itself. The Lobby Bar was our regular haunt for incidental drinks and light meals. We didn’t have much time to use the pools as we found a huge amount to do around the Gold Coast area … however, the pools were great and we managed a few dips … and visits to the Pool Bar! Service was of the usual excellent standard and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Holly on front desk was very helpful. There was plenty of onsite parking but, of course, it was pricey as usual!?!
