Suzhou Liuxiang Hotel (Guanqian Street Pingjiang Road) Reviews

Receptionist is polite and attentive Room is small Floor in room has stain No iron in hotel when called to request Mosquito in room Road Construction just outside the hotel during my stay, so it was not convenient to carry the luggage from main road to hotel/ whenever in and out, noise from the construction worker ( i guess) every morning just outside my room’s window, otherwise it is a very good location walkable distance to metro station and tourist spots like zhuo zheng yuan..

Great location (near to pingjiang road, guanqianjie and metro station), just that the road in front of the hotel is under construction so have to be careful while walking to the hotel. And there's no lift, so might be inconvenient for travellers with heavy luggages. The front desk staffs are friendly and helpful. The washroom is with bad smell and the staff did help to solve this and it becomes better afterwards. Overall still okay.

Hotel is close to the metro station and centrally located - walkable to many nearby attractions. Amenities are also complete, and the staffs are very helpful and friendly. The hotel has no lift, but staffs offered to carry luggages up and down 3 floors, which was great. Only downside is that due to construction in the area and outside the hotel, you will get awoken by drilling and construction noises in the morning. Also, the construction caused the road in front of the hotel to be closed to traffic, hence taxis can’t come in. We had to lug our heavy luggages along the dusty, muddy and uneven road for about 50m to the road entrance - which wasn’t a very pleasant experience. Without the construction, the hotel is a really good and convenient place to stay. :)

This was an awesome hotel. It was extremely rainy when we arrived, and due to the construction that was occurring outside of the hotel, the road was muddy and horrible to drag luggages on. However, after we got to the hotel, we felt relieved of the issues we faced outside, as the hospitality of the employees in the hotel was extremely welcoming and nice. We were offered a beverage as soon as we entered as well as ice cream and snacks. Our room was located on the second floor, and our luggages were quite heavy. However, the two young gentlemen at the front desk were kind enough to haul all three of our heavy suitcases up the flights of stairs. We were pleasantly surprised with our room as well, as it had a bright and refreshing atmosphere. The facilities were very convenient and helpful for busy travels. It was also very convenient to have a nice distance from well known attractions. The hotel also provided a guide for attractions in the nearby area and how to get there.

Excellent hotel location, within 5-10 minutes walking distance to attraction points and metro station. Satisfaction with room cleanliness, except the floor carpet along corridor were dusty due to external construction. Free snacks, ice cream at lobby and the tourist location map provided by hotel was a great initiative, provide accurate information to get to most of the attraction points of Su Zhou. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist on duty - 杨小姐， patiently assisted us on direction and transportation information, and thanks for the free gift to my wife. The only downside was there was a massive construction works outside of the hotel which was extremely inconvenience for people with big luggage to walk along the uneven alley to reach hotel (especially when there's an elderly people) , perhaps hotel may consider to provide concierge service with trolley to assist guest with the luggage from the main road to hotel, this will ease most the troublesome. Looking forward to stay at LiuXiang again on my next trip to SuZhou. Special contributor: 杨小姐 ，(hopefully I got it right)

It's an great location close to everything, however when we were there a lot of construction was ongoing on the streets, but almost the whole city center was under construction. They were building a new subway station, which is good I assume, but affected the traffic situation a lot. But in general, the stay was nice, close to everything, the service desk was very welcoming and helpful.

Very good hotel : clean, good value for money, comfortable, quiet, good service (thanks a lot for the upgrade!). The road in front was under work but we didn't hear anything
