"Objectively speaking, the room view and hotel service were impeccable. However, it's truly a shame that such a large hotel only has one delivery robot. After ordering food, having to wait fifty minutes for it to arrive was maddening. The service department, though, had an excellent attitude. They gave me a coffee voucher and were very polite, answering all my questions. The second time, even though I didn't ask them to deliver my meal, they still thoughtfully brought it to me in advance. So, I think the human aspect of the service is quite good. But I urge the hotel's procurement department and management to approve the purchase of enough delivery robots to support guest traffic, thereby elevating the service experience. The experience at Rui Mian inside the hotel was also very good. While the prices are definitely not budget-friendly, considering the ambiance, the dishes, and the service attitude, I personally believe it offers good value for money."

It even had a small walk-in closet which was super convenient for hanging clothes, and there was plenty of space for my friend and I to spread out our luggage on the floor. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🥰🥰 Plus, the front desk staff were incredibly patient and helpful, I loved them! ^o^"

The staff were gentle and polite, responding to requests promptly and patiently. My entire stay was comfortable and relaxing. It's perfect for both short trips and extended breaks. Even after checking out, I still feel it's highly recommendable. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel next time I visit Jinji Lake."

"Although it's an older hotel, it's well-maintained. The hotel's own garden is beautiful, and there's the former residence of Chiang Wei-kuo and the 571 Project site within the hotel grounds, which you can book through the hotel for a visit. The breakfast at the Yi Jiangnan restaurant is decent, offering local Suzhou snacks. I believe the service could be improved. I hope Nanyuan Hotel continues to flourish!"

"Came here with a friend, and the hotel is incredibly close to the scenic area, right on Pingjiang Road. We could walk to Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. The stay was very comfortable, with excellent facilities and a beautiful environment. It was a fantastic experience overall."

"Pros: The location is excellent, right by the North Square of Suzhou Station. The room is very spacious, a true 35 square meters, and the king-size room feels like a suite. It even has a washing machine with a dryer, a mini-fridge, and a bathtub. Great value for money. Cons: The facilities are a bit old. The bathroom is small and shows noticeable rust marks, and the walls have signs of aging. There's no air conditioning vent in the bedroom (or at least no air comes out, even though it looks like there is one). While the room temperature stays at 23 degrees Celsius, the lack of air circulation makes it feel a bit stuffy. Being close to the train station, it's a little noisy. There's no master light switch, so turning off all the lights individually is a bit inconvenient. Overall, it's very good value for money and recommended."

"I specifically traveled from Shanghai to the fishing village for the weekend, and the two young men at the front desk were incredibly welcoming and helpful with anything I needed. There are tables and chairs by the lake outside the guesthouse, perfect for a barbecue, and the sunset views are fantastic, making for a very atmospheric barbecue. The only downside was the sheer number of small flying insects on the balcony. Perhaps it's due to the season, but it was practically impossible to go out onto the balcony; I could only admire Taihu Lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows, which was a bit of a shame. It would be great if the management could find a way to address this in the future! Overall, it was a very nice experience 👊 Highly recommended 🫰"

Every time I think that if I wake up in the morning and see the beautiful scenery of Taihu Lake, I will definitely be in a good mood. "They offered a cup of tea during check-in, but the front desk manager on duty was very cold and unhelpful, making the experience quite uncomfortable. The bathroom door in the room was a finger trap and wouldn't stay open. The booked restaurant, Bianxia, was pretty good, though the overall taste was a bit on the sweet side. A shout-out to the lady who helped with the custom room key; she had a great attitude and proactively offered customization suggestions."

"Traveling with my dog was completely stress-free! This hotel is incredibly pet-friendly, offering complimentary pet beds, waste bags, and water bowls. They even have a designated pet walking area on the grounds and a resident dog in the lobby that's always ready for some interaction. Overall, their tolerance for furry friends is exceptionally high. Our butler, Cherry, sent us pet-friendly tips in advance, including walking routes and where to find pet amenities. After check-in, she proactively checked in on how our pet was settling in and thoughtfully asked if we needed any additional pet supplies. The hotel's Suzhou-style garden design is beautiful and grand, with extensive bamboo groves and reflective pools throughout, creating a quiet and peaceful environment perfect for leisurely strolls with your dog. The guest rooms are spacious, with non-slip and easy-to-clean flooring. They provide a full range of high-end toiletries, a Dyson hairdryer, and a complimentary minibar. The scenic bathtub is perfect for relaxing soaks. Breakfast offers a rich variety, including freshly prepared Suzhou-style noodles, fresh juices, and Western light meals. The Chinese restaurant provides attentive service with a comfortable pace for serving dishes. The heated pool and 24-hour gym are well-maintained. The hotel's location is convenient for accessing old city attractions. With its excellent pet-friendly facilities and the thoughtful service from Butler Cherry, this is definitely my top choice for traveling with pets."

There's even a terrace where you can enjoy the view and take photos. The only slight drawback is that the room had a bit of a smell due to recent renovations. Overall, it offers good value for money."

"The room completely exceeded my expectations! It was truly fantastic, so spacious that even with two suitcases spread out, it didn't feel cramped at all. The amenities were comprehensive: there's a two-seater sofa and a coffee table for dining, plus a desk and chair perfect for makeup or work. The TV is huge and the bed is super large, with a very comfortable mattress and pillows. The toilet is smart, the mirror has integrated lighting, and both the showerhead and hairdryer were excellent. They also have shared facilities like a fridge, microwave, washing machine, and dryer, along with a small outdoor balcony. The location is superb, right on Guanqian Street, making it convenient to get anywhere. The front desk staff were very friendly and provided thoughtful service; the owner even gave me some glutinous rice cakes, haha! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied! This hotel definitely gave me a wonderful first impression of Suzhou!!"

"🌟 A Home Away From Home: Shangri-La Suzhou Yuanqu – A Warm Encounter by Jinji Lake I have to give a five-star review for my stay at Shangri-La Suzhou Yuanqu! The hotel's location is fantastic; it’s a 10-minute walk to Eslite Bookstore, and surrounded by shopping malls like SOGO (Japanese style), Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (********* style), and the neighboring GCL Plaza, making it perfect for an evening stroll to enjoy the night views or for shopping. The room was spacious and bright, with a modern and elegant design. The facilities were new and well-maintained, and the bedding was, as always, incredibly comfortable. I booked an Executive Room this time, which offered unique night views from a high floor and came equipped with a Laifen hairdryer and a capsule coffee machine. The most impressive aspect was the impeccable service, especially from our butler, Yvonne. Even before check-in, she called to discuss my preferences and needs, meticulously arranging a room with a great view. During my stay, her response time was incredibly fast. Whether it was recommending local restaurants or coordinating room service, everything was handled efficiently and thoughtfully, making me feel like I was interacting with an old friend. Thanks to Yvonne's care, this holiday was exceptionally stress-free and enjoyable. Furthermore, the hotel's breakfast deserves praise. It featured local Suzhou specialties like Zhu Xinnian pork dumplings, handmade large meat buns, and Xucheng Aocao noodles – all full of flavor! From its facilities to its service, Shangri-La Suzhou Yuanqu truly demonstrates a high standard. This will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Suzhou!"
