3-Star Hotels in Suzhou

Overall an enjoyable and relaxing one night stay at this tiny cosy hotel in Zhouzhuang, for our final leg of our 6 days Suzhou trip. We took a didi over to Zhouzhuang, which was faster and cheaper than I expected, just a little over half an hour. The hotel staff called me the day before to arrange for pick-up near the watertown ticket office. Actually I can't speak Mandarin and their English wasn't too good but we ended up chatting on Wechat as Wechat has a built-in translate function in their chat. So, 15 minutes before we arrive, we just had to let them know on Wechat. And the staff is already waiting for us, helped us with the luggage and guided us through the ticket buying process. You do have to pay for the ¥100 RMB ticket to get into the watertown and the ticket is good for 3 days. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the entrance. I picked this hotel because it was right inside the watertown and it had the ancient Chinese interior, although all the amenities are modern, including a robust and high-tech Kohler smart toilets in each bathroom. There is a nice coffee shop inside the hotel and the coffee shop owner is friendly and takes his coffee craft seriously. The hotel gives you 2 free drinks during your stay and the coffee menu is quite extensive. If the hotel rooms are not booked on that day, we are told the hotel opens their doors to coffee customers. The hotel owner is actually younger than I expected so I am impressed she meticulously created this authentic experience and the attention to detail. She was friendly and helpful and was open to accommodating our needs. We booked the entire 2nd floor, which was 3 bedrooms and we had 6 adults in our group. This tiny hotel only has 3 bedrooms so if you booked all 3 rooms, you pretty much get the entire hotel to yourselves which include the first floor which is spacious and comfy. When I visit Zhouzhuang again, I am looking forward to stay here again. It's certainly not cheap, but you do get what you pay for - which is people passionate about hospitality (in a Chinese way) and also a hygiene and staying experience that is certainly up to international standards.

This time, my sister and I visited Suzhou again and booked this hotel 🏨. We stayed here last year, and both the environment and service were excellent! So, we chose to stay here again. The hotel 🏨 is conveniently located right on Pingjiang Road. After checking in, you also get two complimentary tickets to a Pingtan teahouse 🆓. Last time, we had a king-size room, and this time we got a twin room. There's even a rocking chair in the room that my sister found so comfortable she didn't want to go out sightseeing! The hotel 🏨 room rate includes breakfast, and both the braised pork noodles and braised beef noodles were delicious. After breakfast, we took a nice stroll along Pingjiang Road!

The hotel service was excellent, and all the staff were warm, welcoming, and friendly. We had booked a family room and were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a family room with a bathtub. It was a wonderful gesture that made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is also within walking distance of Pingjiang Road, making it very convenient for sightseeing, dining, and exploring the local area. We truly appreciated the thoughtful upgrade and had a great experience overall. Highly recommended!

Nestled in the heart of a picturesque landmark, this guesthouse offers stunning views of Pingjiang Road at night. There's a cat café right across the street, which is a lovely touch. The breakfast spread is generous, and you can even do your laundry for free. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making this a fantastic choice for your stay.

The location is super convenient, just a short walk from Xiangmen Station. Right across from the hotel, there's a soup dumpling shop, breakfast spots, and a convenience store. Plus, there's a large shopping mall diagonally opposite with lots of stylish boutiques. My single room wasn't huge, but it was very clean. The window was on the smaller side, but the ventilation was still quite good. The hotel's gym and laundry facilities (washer and dryer) were both excellent.

This hotel is excellent and very clean. We had a comfortable stay with our child. The staff are all very friendly. The room has a fridge, and the hotel provides a microwave and washing machine. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the steamed buns recommended by the hotel were delicious – we plan to take some home!

Just a few minutes' walk takes you directly to Seven-Mile Shantang, allowing you to experience the water town scenery at any time, while Shilu offers a dazzling array of culinary delights. If you're looking to stay in the heart of the old town, experience the aesthetics of a Suzhou-style courtyard, and also enjoy convenient access, Hoju Courtyard Design Hotel is absolutely not to be missed. The stay experience is impeccable!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Suzhou Xunyi Holiday B&B, and I must say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail. Comfortable and Clean Rooms: The rooms at Suzhou Xunyi are nothing short of fantastic. I chose this hotel because it looked close when I booked it, and it really is just a three or four-minute walk to the subway entrance, and two stops from Shantang Street. The hotel is next to a residential area, so it's not too noisy. The room was newly renovated and very cozy, and the cleaning was meticulous; the sheets had no strange odors. The front desk staff was very friendly and proactively told me how to take the boat tour. It's convenient for getting around, and there's a lounge area in the hallway. For just over two hundred yuan, it's a great value, especially being so close to the train station.

The location is excellent as it is just a stone throw away from Guanqian Street. Plenty of good food (local delicacies) nearby. We enjoyed our stay as the staff was hospitable in checking with us amenities that need to be replenished. However, for the room type that we have chosen (with loft), it is not suitable for people who are above 1.7m height as we knocked on our head every day due to the ceiling structure. It would also be good that if the homestay's shower head water flow could be stronger.
