VChuhuI chose the Indigo Hotel for a relaxing weekend by Jinji Lake, and it was absolutely the right decision. Scott, from Guest Relations, proactively contacted me even before check-in and was available on WeChat throughout my stay, handling all my requests with just a message. The hotel is conveniently located right by the subway exit – just a turn after exiting Exit 2 of the Contemporary Art Museum station. The Suzhou-style cyberpunk design is incredibly cool, with arches, ornate windows, and neon lights, making every photo a masterpiece.
I booked a lake-view king room, which included breakfast. The room was 49 square meters and fully equipped with a coffee machine, refrigerator, complimentary first round of beverages, a Dyson hairdryer, and an automatic smart toilet. There was only one trash can, which felt a bit sparse. The room also had two bathrobes, though I honestly wonder if anyone actually enjoys wearing hotel bathrobes. The Dyson hairdryer and fully automatic smart toilet were definite highlights.
For breakfast, the restaurant was quite busy on the weekend. Staff guided guests to their tables and asked if they'd like coffee or black tea. The breakfast featured a special noodle station with delicious wontons and noodles. The pastry section offered a wide variety of breads, all very soft and fluffy. My appetite is a bit small, and I was full after just a bowl of wontons and one pastry. The specialty Suzhou-style pastries, in my opinion, were just okay; I think the pastry shops in the city center would offer better options.

Staying at the Kimpton Zhuhui Hotel Suzhou, I was deeply impressed by the canal views right outside the hotel. The hotel seamlessly blends traditional Suzhou gardens into its architecture, with tranquil courtyards featuring flowing water, rockeries, bamboo, and flowers. Small bridges arch over ponds, creating picturesque scenes at every turn – the ambiance is absolutely perfect. Strolling through the courtyard at leisure, listening to the water, and admiring the pavilion reflections felt like stepping into a Jiangnan ink painting; it's incredibly photogenic. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, with soft bedding and thoughtful details everywhere. The minibar is also fully stocked. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to visit Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street.
A special thanks to Mila for her attentive and thoughtful service. Before and after check-in, she proactively introduced the hotel's garden highlights and provided helpful travel tips. She was always prompt in responding to any questions, making the communication experience very pleasant. All hotel staff were warm and welcoming, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Breakfast offered a rich variety, with authentic and delicious Suzhou-style noodles.
Whether for a leisure vacation or a business trip, this is an excellent choice. Having a tranquil garden amidst the bustling ancient city offers a perfect experience. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou. I wholeheartedly recommend Kimpton Zhuhui Hotel Suzhou!

Took my kids to Suzhou Tongli Lake Hotel for a weekend stay. Their logo is a hoopoe bird, and the experience exceeded our expectations!
The room was new, spotless, and thoughtfully detailed, making our stay incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The family-friendly facilities were fantastic: outdoors, you can feed bunnies, and the kids' play area was clean and safe – my child didn't want to leave! The heated pool had crystal-clear water, perfect for both adults and kids to enjoy.
The buffet offered fresh, diverse, and delicious food with plenty of choices.
On Sunday morning, we did a travel photoshoot in the Suzhou-style garden right next to the hotel. With its white walls, dark-tiled roofs, winding corridors, and ornate windows, every step offered a picturesque scene.
It's a wonderful family-friendly hotel with a serene environment and attentive service!

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

PangiegieThis is an old, established 5-star garden-style hotel, quite similar to the Xizi Hotel in Hangzhou. The rooms are clean, hygienic, and tidy. Breakfast offers a good variety, and the taste is decent. Parking is convenient, and it's close to popular attractions like the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Pingjiang Road, all just a 10-15 minute taxi ride away. I stayed during Typhoon White Dolphin, so it rained heavily for two days. Unfortunately, Pingjiang Road and Hanshan Temple were closed, which was a bit of a shame. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou. Another great point is how convenient it is for self-drivers, with easy parking. The last two photos are just some breakfast snaps.

XiaodaoKojimaCame here for Pier 46 Restaurant and it was totally worth the trip. The 46th floor offers a 270-degree panoramic view of the old town and Tiger Hill Pagoda through its floor-to-ceiling windows. In the morning, with the sunlight streaming into the restaurant, having breakfast by the window feels like watching Suzhou wake up from above the clouds. The live cooking station is the highlight – the Suzhou-style red soup noodles have a fresh and savory broth that's not too salty, and the wontons have thin wrappers. The glutinous rice cakes, sweet douhua (tofu pudding), and winter melon candy mung bean soup are all authentic local flavors. The Western options like omelets, fresh squeezed juices, and freshly ground coffee are also consistently good. In the evening, the same space transforms into the Du Bar. I ordered the 'Maple Bridge Night Mooring' special cocktail; the osmanthus flavor paired with the city lights creates a delightful, mellow buzz. The afternoon tea features exquisite Ferris wheel-shaped pastries, with a perfect balance of sweet and savory. Enjoying both breakfast and a sunset drink here truly allowed me to experience Suzhou from a high vantage point. The restaurant itself made the room price worthwhile, and our butler, Yuki, was attentive throughout our stay, always available for any questions or concerns.

ghmhappyThis resort is a bit old, and the facilities do show their age. However, you can tell it was built to a high standard, with spacious rooms, a separate wet and dry area, double sinks, and a large bathroom with an automatic toilet. The shower stall is an add-on next to the bathtub, and the water pressure is excellent, making for a very comfortable shower. It has all the amenities of a standard hotel, and since it focuses on families, all table corners are child-proofed. Kids' slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes, and footstools are all provided. The courtyard has a carousel, go-karts, a playground, a mini-train, and even small animals – kids are sure to have a great time. The front desk called before, during, and after check-in to ask about our needs and our stay, promptly resolving any issues. For that, I'm happy to give five stars. Breakfast offered a good variety, though the pastries and baked goods were a bit subpar. There's also a late-night congee served at 8 PM. You can really see the effort put in by the hotel management.

There's a great selection of recreational activities, with various hot spring pools and indoor/outdoor swimming pools to choose from. They also have excellent facilities for families, including an indoor play area, kids' water slides, and outdoor adventure activities – truly something for everyone, adults and children alike. The overall environment is clean and tidy. You could easily spend a whole day here without getting bored, making it perfect for a family vacation. The front desk was also very prompt and thorough in resolving any issues.

Guest UserI was upgraded to a room on the 2nd floor with a beautiful view. What really blew me away was the hotel lobby – the design aesthetics are just incredible, absolutely stunning! The whole hotel is filled with lush greenery, giving you a real vacation vibe. The breakfast was Western style, not really to my taste, but the environment was definitely amazing. The food near the hotel, especially the chicken wontons, was surprisingly good – I'll definitely be having them again next time! The service was also great, and they even have a shuttle bus.
