Mountain View Hotels in Suzhou

We had a wonderful 2 nights in this family-run hotel. The host was extremely kind, friendly and helpful; he made us feel completely at home, and even gave us two delicious homemade ‘lard cakes’ to take with us because we’d enjoyed them so much at breakfast one morning! The rooms are lovely - spacious, very light, bright and private. Really nice interior design. Ours was on the top floor with a roof top deck and great views over the lake and village. The bed was very comfortable with fresh, clean linen and towels. There’s a kettle on the room but you need to bring your own tea or coffee. That said, tea and hot water were available 24-hours a day downstairs. The meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious and fresh; they’re cooked onsite with ingredients that are caught or grown on the island, and are very good value. We ate breakfast (included) both mornings and dinner on our first night. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again if we came back. The main thing to note is that the host (and very few people on the island) speak English, so having some Chinese definitely helps! But we felt very welcome at all times, even when our language skills reached their limits!

Hidden away in the beautiful West Taihu Lake is a stunning guesthouse! Surrounded by the lake on three sides and backed by mountains, it's built right by the water, offering direct views of Taihu Lake. The overall design is bright and pristine white, blending diverse elements like Chinese and French styles, earning it the nickname ”Suzhou's Santorini.” The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, with gorgeous sunsets. The service is warm and friendly, and the facilities are top-notch. Each room boasts enormous 180-degree lake view floor-to-ceiling windows, electric blinds, electric screens, sound systems, private projection cinemas, smart toilets, lake-facing bathtubs, and high-quality toiletries. In summer, you can enjoy the outdoor pool, and there's even a 'Sky Realm' on the rooftop! Public facilities like the gym and mahjong room are also fully equipped! It's a one-stop destination for fun! If you're visiting Taihu Lake, this place is a must-try.

Generally speaking, it is good. The proprietress has put a lot of effort into the design and some daily necessities. However, there are a few details that need to be improved. The breakfast is too simple, a bowl of small wontons ➕ poached eggs ➕ a little fruit and a small glass of milk, the taste is very ordinary, the small wonton skin is too thick and tastes like raw flour sandwiched. The smart toilet in the room is very noisy at night, and it makes a beeping sound when you sit on it. The washbasin is too low...it's uncomfortable to brush your teeth and wash your face. There is a rule that no food is allowed in the room. I think this is a bit difficult. Although it is understandable that most of the room layout and design are white, the store is probably afraid that it will not be easy to take care of. There are not many parking spaces at the door, next to the trash can, the smell is too smelly.

In the past 12 months, I have stayed in over 80 hotels around the world. More than 60 in China. Many of them are positively memorable. The Mehoud perhaps tops all of them in terms of unexpected delight. Physically the hotel is a design bonanza. Recently opened, inspiring u architectural details and finishes are evident throughout. Amenities are excellent. Luxury bath robes and bath towels, small gym with good weights, a pool, laundry machines... It is one of the few hotels with balconies and terraces allowing access to fresh air However, its greatest asset is undoubtedly the management and staff. The general manager seems extraordinary. Sometimes tending the coffee shop, greeting guests in the restaurant, and roaming the hotel. Wait staff go out of their way to accommodate guests, and so many speak at least a little bit of English

April, with its beautiful spring weather, brought us to the charming city of Suzhou, where we discovered Weijian Homestay. The homestay exuded warmth and elegance, making us feel genuinely at home. The service was meticulous and thoughtful, and the staff were incredibly sincere and kind, treating guests like family. Should I return to Suzhou in the future, Weijian Homestay would undoubtedly be my top choice for accommodation. Farewell for now, Weijian Homestay. Banyan Tree, as always, is wonderfully secluded and comfortable! The butler, a lovely lady, upgraded our room again. And we even ran into Alice Xiaoxiao, the butler who assisted us during our stay last year – it was great to see her again! She proactively reached out before check-in to ask about our needs and was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The concierge service upon arrival was also very thoughtful. The courtyards, lush greenery, and water features are beautifully designed, offering a new picturesque view at every turn. The views from our room were truly refreshing and invigorating! Kids' toiletries were fully stocked, and the complimentary soft drinks were of good quality, not just an afterthought. The hotel also offers free activities like Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese exercise), cocktail making, and night runs! Overall, a very satisfying stay! Excellent value for money! **Dining:** The hotel's Baiyun Restaurant is also fantastic. Even though dinner was a set menu from a group deal, every dish was surprisingly delicious! It's a perfect alternative to the Rongsheng Restaurant next door, where you often have to queue for two hours if you don't want to wait. They've changed breakfast to a mostly buffet style, which can sometimes mean colder food with a less-than-ideal texture. However, they still offer à la carte service upon request, which is great! And the champagne was delicious! **Activities:** This trip, we came specifically to climb Lion Mountain, and we successfully reached the summit – the entire scenic area is very thoughtfully developed! Safety measures are also very well implemented! Whether looking out from the mountain or gazing at it from the hotel, it's a view within a view – perfect for photos! There are several well-designed buildings nearby, like museums and science centers, all within walking distance. The hotel key card provides direct access to Lion Mountain Park, and in the evening, they even offer transportation for a golf course tour. The park has added more activities since last year, including a mini-train, cycling, and boating. This year, we even tried kayaking – so much fun! We'll definitely be back next year! Our sincere thanks to Alice Xiaoxiao, our butler, who made our first stay enjoyable and our second even more comfortable. Also, a big shout-out to the handsome concierge who helped with our luggage! The auntie providing turn-down service gave our child small gifts and drinks, and the three lovely ladies at the bar patiently taught us cocktail making… All the hotel staff made us feel so warm and welcome. Looking forward to our next stay!

This stay exceeded my expectations, I have to give a huge shout-out to the hotel! The breakfast buffet offered an incredibly wide variety of choices: freshly baked croissants, butterfly pastries, Danish pastries, and other Western baked goods were fragrant and so flaky they practically melted in your mouth. For savory options, there were fried eggs, boiled eggs, potato balls, and steamed dumplings. The biggest surprise was the live noodle station where the chef would cook noodles fresh for you, with all sorts of toppings and condiments available – a comforting Chinese breakfast right on the spot! The combination of Chinese and Western options was super satisfying. The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were warm and courteous. Check-in and check-out were very efficient. The overall environment was quiet and comfortable, and the facilities were well-maintained. It was a pleasant experience for both travel and rest, offering excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

The company rented four villas from them for team building. The overall feeling was very good. The environment was great and it was relatively large. The entrance was a bit hard to find, but there were winding paths leading to secluded places. The villa was a single-family house and the interior was well decorated in a Chinese style. There are quite a lot of entertainment facilities and the place is large. The overall evaluation is good. It is suitable for a family trip. It is a short drive to Luxiang Ancient Village and not far from Sanshan Island and Diaohua Building. The boss is nice, the room is clean, I want to stay here again next time. My family went to Luxiang Ancient Village and stayed here. The housekeeper was very enthusiastic. Even if we didn't go to Dongping to play, this place is pretty good. There are complete entertainment facilities such as KTV, mahjong, table tennis, etc. There are currently 3 courtyards in it, all of which are very good. Next time you can come and experience a very happy trip to Dongshan! What impressed me most about this party was the enthusiasm and warmth of the butler. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was at home. It was very cozy and the service was attentive! The place is cleaned very well, toiletries are provided, and there is a logo printed on it. It's obvious that the landlord is very dedicated to his business, haha! I had a relaxing and enjoyable whole day and took a lot of photos. It was a heartwarming holiday experience. A friend came to travel with his wife and children. He booked a villa the day before arriving in Dongshan. On the one hand, the children could have fun playing games, and on the other hand, the adults could buy groceries, cook a meal and drink some wine. The housekeeper is very helpful and does everything himself. The transportation is very convenient and it is a short drive to Luxiang Ancient Village. My friend’s wife was taking care of the children and couldn’t help, otherwise she would have had a lot of fun playing mahjong. recommend! ! ! A perfect last-minute order, much better than expected!

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! The environment is beautiful, the air is fresh, and the attention to detail is impressive. I'm so happy to have found such a peaceful retreat in the heart of Suzhou. The service was excellent too, highly recommend! A special thanks to the front desk attendant who helped upgrade us to a lake view room – it made the experience even better!

The room is very clean and the configuration is very high-end. It doesn't look like a B&B in the countryside. The designer's positioning is worthy of the name; The boss is very nice. If you need anything in the room, you can just ask him. You can also ask for advice on travel itineraries and buying souvenirs. Finally, a vacation in Xishan is really good and relaxing. But I didn’t see the sunset this time. It's a bit of a pity. . .
