GGuest UserWe had a wonderful 2 nights in this family-run hotel. The host was extremely kind, friendly and helpful; he made us feel completely at home, and even gave us two delicious homemade ‘lard cakes’ to take with us because we’d enjoyed them so much at breakfast one morning!
The rooms are lovely - spacious, very light, bright and private. Really nice interior design. Ours was on the top floor with a roof top deck and great views over the lake and village.
The bed was very comfortable with fresh, clean linen and towels. There’s a kettle on the room but you need to bring your own tea or coffee. That said, tea and hot water were available 24-hours a day downstairs.
The meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious and fresh; they’re cooked onsite with ingredients that are caught or grown on the island, and are very good value. We ate breakfast (included) both mornings and dinner on our first night.
We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again if we came back.
The main thing to note is that the host (and very few people on the island) speak English, so having some Chinese definitely helps! But we felt very welcome at all times, even when our language skills reached their limits!

HHasbiniIt was a great experience… the hotel was clean and comfortable the rooms where spacious and the amenities that were available were very pleasant. But the place is nothing without the staff they had an amazing helpful staff especially Dong La Mei she went out of her way to make our stay at the hotel as comfortable as possible…. If there was a 6 star rating for the staff it would go for her. I would definitely recommend a stay there and I’m actually looking forward to visiting again.

GGuest UserMy husband and I were met with the warmest of welcomes here! The hosts and staff were all really friendly and willing to even prepare some dinner for us after we arrived late in the evening. The gardens are beautiful and well-tended and lovely to just walk around in or sit and enjoy. We had a queen bed room Mountain View - which was quite spacious, smelled fresh and was exceptionally clean, with sufficient amenities even a balcony and mini-sauna. Breakfast was local-style and very filling. This location is great for a remote getaway experience, for some peace and quiet and if you want to explore nature. The only thing to note is that the surrounding village is rather small so there aren’t many other food options/ stores etc, so best to come prepared. All in all, we had a wonderful time and are hoping to return in the spring!

GGuest UserFor a one-day trip to Kunshan during the May Day holiday, I compared various options on Trip.com (considering rooms, location, and reviews) and booked the Lamborghini. Parking in the B2 underground garage was a plus for us, as we drive a seven-seater and need ample space (multi-story parking wouldn't work). Check-in was very convenient, and Front Office Manager Chang was incredibly welcoming, even giving us a small gift. He proactively added us on WeChat, offering assistance with any questions. The room was spacious, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom and a bathtub, perfect for our little one. Breakfast at the second-floor Western restaurant was excellent, with a wide variety of food and a comfortable ambiance. It's a shame there wasn't a dinner buffet. On the first floor, there's free craft making, which my daughter enjoyed for a long time. The second floor has arcade games, though not many, and they're more suited for older children. We had lunch at Lan Mian Fang; while pricey, it was definitely worth the money. There's a beautiful floating night market right outside the hotel. Just a few suggestions: there was no conditioner in the room, which made washing hair a bit difficult; and the lack of a door separating the shower area from the hallway felt a bit unusual – perhaps a sliding door could be installed. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily return if we have the chance.

GGuest UserHighly recommend! Micky at reception kindly upgraded my room with large big rooms, the terrace and bath tub of hot spring. Thank you so much for her hearty hospitality mind. Breakfast is mainly Chinese style, but also western one. The hotel has large scale garden. You can walk around. Staff in hotel are very kind and friendly!

GGuest UserVisited Suzhou for a short holiday and stayed at the Taihu Marriott Hotel. The hotel boasts a beautiful environment, warm service, clean rooms, and a rich breakfast spread. The scallion oil waffles with sauce were especially unique and delicious. The customer service also provided a guide to nearby attractions, and the fireworks display, lasting about five to six minutes, was particularly stunning. We didn't even have to go downstairs to the lawn; we could watch it right from our room. Overall, we were very satisfied. Thumbs up for the Taihu Marriott Hotel!

GGuest UserThe Shuxiang Shijia (Scholar's Garden) is an established brand with an elegant atmosphere, steeped in scholarly charm. They offer a wealth of unique activities and value-added services:
1️⃣ Hot Springs: There are 12 hot spring pools, each with its own unique features. Soaking in them is wonderfully relaxing, and the kids absolutely loved it!
2️⃣ DIY Crafts: During this short holiday period, they offer a parent-child craft activity every morning, which was fantastic.
3️⃣ Added Perks: The restaurant on the first floor provides a free late-night snack every evening, including tea eggs, purple rice porridge, and pumpkin porridge – very satisfying! On the third floor, there's a free self-service laundry room with washer-dryers, which is incredibly convenient.
4️⃣ Service: Whether it was the front desk in the lobby, the hot springs, the restaurant, the craft area, or even in the hallways, every staff member was incredibly warm and friendly – truly excellent.
5️⃣ Surroundings: Across from the hotel is Shushan Park, and it's currently pear blossom season, making it the perfect time to capture photos of thousands of pear trees in bloom. There are also many local farm-to-table restaurants nearby, and the Emerald Lake scenic spot isn't far either.

AAring172I chose Banyan Tree Suzhou for a high-intensity review during earnings season. I didn't have very high expectations before booking; I just wanted something quiet, clean, and with convenient dining. Driving here was incredibly easy – just stay in the left lane on the highway all the way. A big thank you to the hotel's hospitable ambassador, 'Alice Xiaoxiao,' who was very thoughtful and accommodating. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the beautiful Suzhou-style garden, especially the vibrant mix of red and green maple leaves. The hotel kindly upgraded my room, which I really appreciate. Photo 1 shows the delightful view from my bedroom. The hotel also offers various pillow types – down, memory foam, and firm foam – ensuring a good night's sleep. A spa treatment was a must, and as soon as masseuse Sophia started, I could tell she was a true professional. It was definitely worth experiencing, just as other reviewers had said.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and the configuration is very high-end. It doesn't look like a B&B in the countryside. The designer's positioning is worthy of the name;
The boss is very nice. If you need anything in the room, you can just ask him. You can also ask for advice on travel itineraries and buying souvenirs.
Finally, a vacation in Xishan is really good and relaxing. But I didn’t see the sunset this time. It's a bit of a pity. . .
