"We had a perfect stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou! The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children. The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience! The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property. Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!"

All the front desk staff were wonderful, and they even offered me a bottle of water before I left. Highly recommended!"

My cousin checked in before me; his Chinese isn't great, but the hotel patiently explained breakfast details and other important information to him, and proactively arranged the room upgrade. Thumbs up to the hotel! After we checked out, I left a charging cable behind, and they even contacted us to ask if we needed it back. The attention to detail in their service is impressive! Environment: The location is superb, right next to Pingjiang Road, which is fantastic."

Any requests made to the front desk were met with a quick response and a polite, gentle attitude. The public areas were cleaned daily, free of any unpleasant odors, and the elevator control system ensured high security, which gave me great peace of mind traveling with elderly family members and children. "Suzhou has so many hotels, and we spent a long time choosing AnShe. First, its location is fantastic – super close to the Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and the Lotus Flower Market, which is a must-visit in June. Second, I saw many reviews praising their service, and it really lived up to the hype when we arrived; the staff were all very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Most importantly, the cleanliness was impeccable; every part of the room was spotless and well-maintained down to the smallest detail. Even though it's not a chain hotel, I was really satisfied with this stay."

"The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou."

"This guesthouse is tucked away in a small alley, right next to Pingjiang Road. The most amazing thing is that it's less than a minute's walk from the lively Pingjiang Road, but as soon as you turn into this alley, the surroundings immediately become quiet – truly a hidden gem. Several things stood out to me during my stay: 1. The service was incredibly warm and friendly. They even proactively offered me a late check-out. 2. The attention to detail in the design was impressive. I've stayed in many star-rated hotels where their smart toilets typically don't have a button for automatic lid opening, but the toilet here does, which is very convenient for men."

"Really loved it! The room was spacious and comfortable. Although the bathroom had an older decor, all the facilities were in perfect working order, clean, and tidy. The location was excellent – central yet quiet. I could see the elevated road not too far from my window, but surprisingly, I didn't hear any noise. It was also super convenient, only about a 15-minute drive to Hanshan Temple the next day. The hotel's gym had all the basic equipment and was quite large, though unfortunately, the swimming pool wasn't open. "The location is excellent, right in the Shantang Street scenic area, inside the Lingnan Guild Hall. It's very convenient to get to the train station, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lingering Garden. There's even a boat dock right at the entrance. The service was fantastic. On the first day, we arrived early and they helped us store our luggage. As soon as our room was ready, they notified us immediately for check-in. The next morning, we had an early start, and they kindly arranged breakfast for us in advance. The front desk staff, Summer and Huihui, were both very nice. The room was great, set in a garden-style courtyard with a koi pond. We even saw a heron on the first day! The room was very quiet; even though it's in a scenic area, there was no noise at night. The hotel had thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning beforehand, so it was cool and dry when we entered."

AAlina0115This time, my sister and I visited Suzhou again and booked this hotel 🏨. We stayed here last year, and both the environment and service were excellent! So, we chose to stay here again. The hotel 🏨 is conveniently located right on Pingjiang Road. After checking in, you also get two complimentary tickets to a Pingtan teahouse 🆓. Last time, we had a king-size room, and this time we got a twin room. There's even a rocking chair in the room that my sister found so comfortable she didn't want to go out sightseeing! The hotel 🏨 room rate includes breakfast, and both the braised pork noodles and braised beef noodles were delicious. After breakfast, we took a nice stroll along Pingjiang Road!

GGuest UserI specifically booked the garden waterscape room at Kimpton Bamboo Grove to experience the poetic charm of living by the water in Jiangnan, which completely cured my travel fatigue. The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows throughout the room directly face the entire garden pond. White walls, bamboo shadows, rockeries, and green plants are all reflected in the water. When there's no wind, the pond is as smooth as a mirror, with the sky and clouds reflected, blending reality and illusion, like a flowing Suzhou ink painting. Stepping onto the scenic small balcony, all I could hear was the gentle gurgling of water and birds chirping in the woods, completely isolating me from the city's hustle and bustle. The privacy was excellent. The room was spacious and elegant, with modern light luxury soft furnishings complementing the Oriental garden aesthetic. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom was well-designed with a wet and dry separation, and smart devices were fully equipped. The cleanliness was meticulous and impeccable. The toiletries had a warm and sophisticated scent. Upon check-in, a sweet welcome fruit platter was provided, and the first round of the mini-bar was complimentary. My butler, Cherry, was responsive and attentive, showing thoughtfulness in every detail. Strolling through the hotel's gardens, winding corridors line the water, surrounded by lush bamboo. Every step offers a picture-perfect scene. On sunny days, sitting on the terrace, drinking tea and admiring the waterscape, a gentle breeze creates ripples across the water. On rainy days, a thin mist drifts over the water, creating a hazy, misty atmosphere. There's no need to rush to crowded gardens; you can privately enjoy the charm of Suzhou's waters in your room. The location is convenient for getting around, close to the city moat and old town alleys. For those who prefer quiet and elegant scenery, the waterscape room is the first choice to experience an immersive Jiangnan waterside life. I will definitely book here again on my next trip to Suzhou. I genuinely recommend it!

AAnonymous UserI rarely write long reviews, but this hotel, at best, is a business hotel. Don't try to market it as a family-friendly hotel when it's clearly not. Just adding a few kid activities and a small train doesn't make it one. 1. The room had absolutely no children's amenities: no kids' toothbrushes, no kids' slippers. You couldn't even install a bed rail because there was nowhere to attach it. 😂 2. The showerhead was broken, with water leaking from the side. 3. There were only two extremely high pillows. Seriously, don't standard hotels usually provide four pillows? Two high, two low? I ended up having to sleep with clothes propped under my head. 4. The front desk staff (the guy with glasses) during both check-in and check-out had the same unhelpful attitude as a budget hotel chain's front desk. In fact, a budget hotel might even be more welcoming. If you don't want to work during the May Day holiday, just switch shifts! 😠 5. The housekeeping auntie definitely hasn't been trained. She was pushing a huge mattress and nearly hit a child while turning a corner. The only positive feedback I have is for the kind female front desk staff member who enthusiastically helped me find my lost ID card.

GGuest UserWe stayed 1 night in this lovely hotel on a Sunday night. We managed to check in early at 1 pm and was upgraded from the 30 sqm king room we booked to a larger 41 sqm room. The room is new and used lovely bath amenities, an Australian hotel brand. Our stay came with a set dinner for 2 persons and the food was delicious. The pricing in the hotel restaurant is similar or cheaper than any other regular Chinese restaurant outside. We paid the next day at lunch time to eat Chinese food at the hotel again as the restaurant environment is nice and service is good. They have a very well equipped gym which unfortunately we did not have time to use during our 24 hour stay. Our room rate included breakfast and the selection was generous, the only negative would be the coffee beans they used are too acidic but that’s a personal preference. The location of the hotel is slightly to 1 side of the Suzhou old city but some sights like 网师园 are walking distance. Suzhou city is actually quite spread out, no one location is best for sightseeing. The great thing is didi only cost less than RMB10 per ride from this hotel so it is still very convenient. I would not bother with the Suzhou subway, it is not as convenient as the one in Shanghai. Oh yes, the cable TV have english programming which is nice for a hotel in China. I believe this Artyzen Habitat brand is managed by the Macau Shun Tak group. Will stay here again for good value and service. 这个酒店非常好,值得回来再住。五星级的设施,四星级的价钱。

It's located right by Pingjiang Road, and from the window by the water, you can see the lively street, yet it remains surprisingly quiet. SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.
