"The hotel has a great location. The front desk staff were very welcoming with smiles and efficient during check-in, always ready to assist with any requests. There's also complimentary freshly ground coffee in the lobby. The room was spacious, and the shower had good water pressure. The bedding was comfortable. The hotel is very close to the subway, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. It's also not far from various attractions. Overall, it was a great stay. Oh, and by the way, we accidentally left some medicine behind after checking out. The staff personally called to inform us, and we were able to retrieve it. Huge thanks to the housekeeping team and the front desk staff!"

"The hotel environment is great, and the location is excellent too, right next to Pingjiang Road, just downstairs. The hotel offers free laundry and drying, which is super convenient. Puff and Shi Qi provided excellent service! The only minor drawback is that the room rates fluctuate too quickly. I booked in advance, and the very next day, I saw the price dropped by 67 yuan. I happened to book at the highest point."

"Loved it! The staff were so warm and welcoming, they even contacted me in advance and helped with my luggage upon arrival. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, making for some lovely photos indoors. It was raining when we arrived, and they kindly provided free clear umbrellas. The hotel is super close to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden – less than a 10-minute walk! Pingjiang Road is right next door, and there's also a boat dock. You'll find plenty of travel photography studios on Pingjiang Road if you're interested. For breakfast, you can head to Yaba Shengjian, it's about a ten-minute walk. On your way back, you can stroll along Pingjiang Road – it's lovely and quiet in the early morning, perfect for photos. The main branch of Li Baixie (a restaurant) is also nearby, so you can go early to make a reservation. Our room had two 1.5-meter double beds, which was very comfortable for two pairs of mothers and daughters! If I ever visit Suzhou again, I'll definitely choose this place. 👍 The first photo is the hotel entrance, and the last two are of Pingjiang Road nearby."

"Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home."

"Couldn't believe there was such a stylish hotel right in the popular Shantang Street scenic area. As soon as I walked in, I was drawn in by the unique design. The lobby was very spacious, and even more surprising was the complimentary minibar in the room, stocked with BaiSuiShan water, which was a nice touch. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the station, which I didn't get to use since I drove, but parking was also free. That's a real rarity in the old city center where space is at a premium. The breakfast also had a great variety. Overall, a very satisfying trip."

"Overall review: Great location and new facilities, but the overall feel still falls short of the brand's positioning, and the value for money is average.
Pros: Excellent location, close to Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road, making it easy to get around. As a new hotel, the facilities are quite new, and the hardware conditions are good. The service is decent.
Cons: 1. When booking, it stated an upgrade to an all-you-can-eat brunch. In reality, it was just an extended breakfast time until noon, not an increase in dishes or an improvement in quality. The breakfast selection wasn't varied enough, and the taste was mediocre. There was nothing I liked, making it difficult to meet five-star expectations. 2. The check-in/check-out policy was not flexible enough: check-in at 3 PM and check-out before 12 PM, with no option for late check-out. While understandable during the May Day holiday, as a five-star hotel, the guest experience shouldn't be compromised due to holidays.
I frequently travel during holidays and often stay at five-star hotels, and they usually allow late check-out until 2 PM. Also, if I haven't booked breakfast, the hotel often provides it as a complimentary extra. I chose to book a package with meals this time specifically because I saw the option to upgrade to an all-you-can-eat brunch. In hindsight, I would have just gone out for some Shengjian (pan-fried buns) nearby."

"Great location, super close to the subway station. The front desk staff were all really helpful, especially with sorting out my numerous packages – thank you for that! There are also plenty of food options nearby. For the price, the soundproofing isn't the best, which is understandable. However, if you're sensitive to noise, I'd recommend booking a windowless room. I slept very well both nights, and the other guests weren't consistently loud."

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the old location of Suzhou so the surrounding areas are all full of cultural experiences. The location is ideal for visiting several gardens such as The Couple's Retreat Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Humble Administrator's Garden (all within walking distance). However, it is a bit difficult to reach by car, as you would have to cross a small bridge and go over slightly rough roads (not ideal for multiple luggage, especially large ones).
The hotel breakfast is soup noodles, with 8 different options, and it comes with a dessert (mung bean cake, a local specialty). It does get a bit tiring and repetitive once you eat it for a long time though. But, there are plenty of other alternative options up and down the street the hotel is located in. Various food stalls, restaurants, and even bakeries are all located within walking distance. The hotel also provides a ticketed experience to a local activity known as 评弹, a type of operatic singing famous for its soothing sound and tendency to invoke sleepiness.
The hotel rooms are neat and kept clean with no odor. Throughout the hotel, a pleasing scent was smelled and it seems that one could buy the same scent from one of the various stalls open on the street. The bathroom amenities include: hair dryer, bath robes, toothbrushes, a vanity set, razor, and a comb (along with another item that slipped my mind). The toilet is automated and has a heated seat. Unfortunately, the showers are a bit difficult to use (low water pressure and difficulty in setting temperature). There are three settings for the shower: overhead, handheld, and spout. The rooms that we ordered (two single beds) included a sitting room furnished with a rocking chair and a mini fridge (drinks inside have to be paid for). The water bottles placed outside the fridge and the snacks on the table are complimentary and free of charge. The hotel also has a laundry machine that both washes and dries the clothes. Sadly, it doesn't properly dry clothes if more than 1.5 sets of clothing are placed inside. Drying racks and clothing hangers are provided for such scenarios. Laundry baskets were also provided. The hotel does not have elevators, given the antiquity of the neighborhood, so heavy luggage and suitcases have to be carried by hand up the stairs.
The hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful with anything we needed. We had a total of 8 suitcases (5 checked and 3 carry-ons) and the staff (overnight as we checked in at around 12 AM) voluntarily led us to the room and helped carry our bags up. When we ran into a problem with the laundry machine, the staff helped clear up the misunderstanding.
Attached are photos of the lobby (picture of the table with the tea sets), the hotel room that was booked (the other room looked the same, just mirrored placement), the sitting room, and complimentary food that was provided.

Wwl****The location is fantastic, right inside the ancient town. You can get in for free after 5 PM. Plus, after breakfast the next day, you can tour Shen Hall and Zhang Hall for free. The value for money is just incredible! They even provide a bath kit in the room, which is a really thoughtful touch. Big thumbs up, highly recommend!

WWangxiaohuatongxueI will always recommend this place without hesitation. Suzhou is truly beautiful; every photo turns out perfectly. Since I was traveling with my parents, the front desk helped arrange a more suitable room, which greatly eased my anxiety. Fearing we might have trouble, the staff even personally brought the room cards to our room. Everyone was so handsome and responsible, and spoke so gently. They even brought me hot water and didn't forget to give me an extra bottle of mineral water so I could dilute it and avoid getting scalded. Oh my goodness, their warm hospitality made me feel so embarrassed! They truly embodied the feeling of 'home away from home'!
There's a separate lounge area on the first floor, which is convenient for dining or meeting guests, and there's even a small play area for children. I'll definitely choose this place again when I bring my kids next time. Highly, highly recommend! Wishing them prosperous business!

“Hidden away in this bustling city is a tranquil sanctuary. The moment I slid open the wooden door, it felt as if I had been transported to an ancient machiya in Kyoto. The room was filled with a subtle scent of tatami, and the natural wood furniture with minimalist lines exuded a 'wabi-sabi' aesthetic throughout. My favorite time was in the evening, sitting at the low table by the window, brewing a pot of tea, and gazing at the karesansui garden outside. All the inner turmoil gradually faded away. There was no excessive disturbance here, just the perfect amount of space and serenity—a truly healing journey that allowed my mind and body to return to nature.”

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here.
Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around.
In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room.
When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture?
Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc.
Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us.
These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

GGuest UserMy love for Jiangnan has deepened even further! This time, I brought my 80-year-old mother back to Suzhou. We haphazardly picked this hotel, and to our surprise, it turned out to be absolutely fantastic! This morning, we were woken by the calls of spotted doves outside our window, having had such a wonderfully comfortable sleep. The breakfast buffet was also superb, and the staff were incredibly attentive and detailed. I had originally planned to explore the hotel's surroundings more this morning to take some photos for an online review, but breakfast took longer than expected, so I didn't get a chance to snap many pictures. It's just a few steps from the subway station, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Highly recommend!

KKok Hong GanI had a wonderful stay at this homestay at 平江路. The location is very strategic, with easy access to many attractions, shops, and food spots, making it very convenient to explore the area.
The place itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made the whole stay smooth and enjoyable.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. I accidentally left my phone in a taxi, and the host went above and beyond to help me. They quickly coordinated with the driver and handled everything until my phone was safely returned.
I really appreciate the extra effort and care, it made a stressful situation so much easier. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful host!

The hostess is very friendly and kind. When we got lost during check-in, she herself came for us. Also thanks to the man who helped us when leaving the hotel.
