Posted on May 12, 2025|Xin Meng Deluxe Family Room (Starry Night Lighting + Child's Bathrobe + 65-inch TV With Projection)
Jiafeibushimao~miaoLocation📍The hotel is right at the entrance of Shajiabang Scenic Area. It belongs to Huazhu Club with the Huajianting next door. The two share a courtyard. The children's playground of Manxinfu is also in the Huajianting next door. There is another Huazhu Club in the scenic area with a better price.
Service: Smooth check-in, quick response, and children's toiletries and slippers are provided
Facilities: The meal provided by the package is rich in variety. Coffee and bread coupons were given although they were not used. The family package in the package has a separate group purchase of 298, which tastes good. Breakfast is until 10 o'clock on weekends, with many choices and few Western styles.
Let me talk about the points that I don't agree with:
The fruit platter written in the 298 family package in the package was originally prepared to be packed, but the waiter asked if there were only 4 slices of watermelon. Haha, this platter...
If you book a calendar room directly, you can upgrade the room, check out late, give souvenirs, and send bird watching coupons. There are none of them redeemed with group purchases. Bird watching coupons need to be bought by yourself for 50 per person😓

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

eeningHad a really enjoyable stay at Mulan Huayue Hotel during our visit to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.
The service was exceptional from start to finis. When we arrived, the staff came to pick us up from the admission gate and helped carry our luggage to the hotel, which was especially helpful since the old town streets can be a bit tricky with bags.
We arrived before check-in time, and since the rooms were ready, the owner let us look at the available rooms and choose the one we preferred based on the view. It was a small gesture, but it made us feel very welcome.
The location is also excellent. Since the hotel is located inside the ancient town itself, we could simply step outside and start exploring the canals, bridges, and old streets without needing any additional transport. It was especially nice to wander around early in the morning and at night when there were fewer crowds.
The hotel also has two super cute cats that were always hanging around and made the place feel even more homely.
We tried the hotel's restaurant and were impressed by the food. Our favorite dish was the 酸菜肉丝炒芦苇根, which was delicious and something we hadn't tried before. The food was slightly on the salty side for our taste, but overall we enjoyed everything we ordered.
When it was time to head to our next hotel in Suzhou, the owner helped arrange a car for us (150 RMB). The driver was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information along the way, which made the journey much more enjoyable.
Another thing I appreciated was how attentive the owner was. When we ran out of drinking water, she personally brought three more bottles to our room without us having to ask multiple times.
Overall, this was one of those places where you can really feel the warmth and hospitality of the owner. It made our stay in Zhouzhuang much more memorable, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

XianJennifer0510If I had to describe this hotel in four words, it would be: “Always Ready to Help.”
After checking in, guests are assigned a dedicated WeChat contact, making it easy to communicate any requests or questions directly with the hotel. The customer service manager responds very quickly and genuinely cares about guests’ comfort and overall experience. Any issues, big or small, are handled efficiently, giving you a true sense that guest satisfaction is their top priority.
The hotel offers complimentary laundry and drying facilities, a gym, and a modern, stylish design throughout the property. Upon arrival, the staff helped us with our luggage, and after check-in, our bags were delivered directly to our room free of charge. Such thoughtful service made us feel very welcomed.
Breakfast mainly consists of Chinese-style dishes, with Suzhou-style noodles being a special highlight. My favorite part of the stay was the complimentary Hanfu experience! There were many beautiful outfits to choose from, and each set could be worn for up to two hours. Guests are even allowed to wear them outside for sightseeing and photos. My mother and I changed into two different Hanfu outfits during our stay, and it was a wonderful experience.
A special thank you to the customer service manager for taking such great care of us, for the fruit platter, and for upgrading us to a room with a bathtub. The room was incredibly spacious and very comfortable. Even the television could be adjusted and rotated for better viewing from different angles.
Cleanliness is clearly a priority here. The hotel provides disposable hygiene covers for both the toilet seat and bathtub, giving guests extra peace of mind. The entire property has a charming artistic atmosphere, and there is even a cozy reading corner near the laundry room where guests can relax with a book.
The location is another major advantage. There are plenty of restaurants and food options right downstairs, making the area lively and convenient. Most attractions are only about 10 minutes away by car, with Didi rides typically costing just RMB 8–10. The high-speed rail station is also within a 15-minute drive.
If you have not planned your itinerary yet, the hotel can recommend local tours and travel packages as well. They also provide parcel collection services, carefully storing your deliveries until you arrive to collect them.
ANDU Hotel truly puts guest experience first.
Highly recommended! 👍

Anonymous UserAs an elderly solo traveler, I rarely write reviews; it's quite a bother. However, from the moment I arrived, I was touched by a young lady at the front desk, whom I affectionately call 'Little Latiao' (Spicy Strip). It was raining that day, and she saw me leave without an umbrella, so she chased after me to the hotel entrance to hand me one. Today, as I'm leaving, she's again helping me with my luggage and waiting with me for my pre-booked car. Thank you, Little Latiao! I also want to extend my gratitude to the staff on the 4th floor who also assisted me. The 5-star rating is entirely for Little Latiao and the 4th-floor staff.
Now for a quick review of the hotel itself. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Pingjiang Road. The room layout is quite similar to Mehood Lestie hotels, just a bit smaller, but still very comfortable. The front desk and floor service are both good, and the shower water pressure is great. It's also easy to get a taxi.
The absolute worst part, and what significantly lowers the hotel's rating, is the breakfast restaurant. The service is terrible, and the staff's communication skills are poor. What truly astonished me was seeing them eat their own meal before guest dining hours were even over. In years of traveling and staying at dozens of hotels, this is the only time I've ever witnessed such a thing. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's acceptable for the price. However, often before 9 AM, most items are already gone. Honestly, because of the breakfast restaurant, I cannot give this hotel a 5-star rating.

Suning Ya Yue Zhangjiagang - stayed for 6 nights in a spacious executive queen room. The hotel occupies levels 7-9 above the electronics shopping mall and is accessed by a doorway at the west end of the building. The executive queen rooms are in the curved South East corner of the building facing the intersection and river and have panoramic floor to ceiling glass that can't be opened. They are only single glazed but are quiet at night due to the lack of traffic. The other outward facing rooms have normal aluminium sliding windows and would probably be noisy. They also have inward facing rooms with windows facing a void that would be very quiet but not very light. The aircon in my room worked well but I had to choose from different floors for heating or cooling at check in. The large blockout curtains worked very well. Universal power points and USB outlets next to the big bed. There was no mini bar or in-room safe in my room. There was a kettle with tea but no coffee. The breakfast buffet had limited choices but eggs to order are offered. No butter was available for the sweet bread slices. The machine coffee was actually okay. The hallways are carpeted to limit noise but the carpet is very, very dirty and very worn, which really lowers the quality of the hotel. It's in easy walking distance to the newly opened lovely Yancheng Old Town restaurant area and directly across from the large Mambat Mall and big Freshippo supermarket (Basement 1). This is a Chinese hotel with very little English but all of the staff were very friendly and helpful and very patient with my lack of Chinese. I also had no trouble getting parts delivered to the hotel during my stay. I would probably stay again but they really need to get new carpet....

I rarely write long reviews, but this hotel, at best, is a business hotel. Don't try to market it as a family-friendly hotel when it's clearly not. Just adding a few kid activities and a small train doesn't make it one.
1. The room had absolutely no children's amenities: no kids' toothbrushes, no kids' slippers. You couldn't even install a bed rail because there was nowhere to attach it. 😂
2. The showerhead was broken, with water leaking from the side.
3. There were only two extremely high pillows. Seriously, don't standard hotels usually provide four pillows? Two high, two low? I ended up having to sleep with clothes propped under my head.
4. The front desk staff (the guy with glasses) during both check-in and check-out had the same unhelpful attitude as a budget hotel chain's front desk. In fact, a budget hotel might even be more welcoming. If you don't want to work during the May Day holiday, just switch shifts! 😠
5. The housekeeping auntie definitely hasn't been trained. She was pushing a huge mattress and nearly hit a child while turning a corner.
The only positive feedback I have is for the kind female front desk staff member who enthusiastically helped me find my lost ID card.

Guest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and the comb was very unique. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which was a big plus. The location was excellent, with the subway, bus, and major attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum all within a 15-minute walk. Along the way, there were commercial streets with snacks and local specialties, and places like Yaba Shengjian and Guanqian Street were not far, making it very convenient! After a long day of sightseeing, returning to the hotel was a great way to unwind! The open-air patio was particularly interesting; I happened to catch it during the rain, which added a wonderful ambiance! The service was exceptionally good; they were very patient and helpful with services like mailing. Highly recommended! The room also featured central air conditioning, electric curtains, and an automatic toilet!

Guest UserThe front desk staff were all incredibly nice! I initially booked the wrong dates on a third-party platform, and they helped me contact the third-party customer service for a refund. Then, they even upgraded my room on the spot. When I left, they gave me some snacks, drinks, and tissues. Their service was very thoughtful!
