GGuest UserWe had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝
GGuest UserCame to Suzhou for Xu Liang's concert. The hotel is not far from the Olympic Sports Center by taxi. The environment is lovely, and the gardens are beautiful; even more so in the rain, giving it a misty江南 (Jiangnan) feel. The service from both Shao Yao and Mei Gui was excellent; they responded quickly to any issues. The front desk staff were very helpful with luggage and even gave us a free upgrade to a super spacious suite, which made us really happy and fortunate, haha! The noodle restaurant downstairs is also very good, and the food arrived quickly. Guests even got a discount – highly recommend! Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Suzhou. A truly great experience.

GGuest UserAn absolutely wonderful experience! If you're coming to Suzhou, staying in a garden-style setting is a must. This hotel is a conversion of a 300-year-old house. While the building is old, all the facilities are incredibly modern, including a gym, pool, and even Dyson hair dryers. It's just a bridge away from Pingjiang Road, so you can enjoy the bustling lights on one side while having your own tranquil oasis on the other (the courtyard rooms are behind the wall you see in the video). The hotel breakfast is excellent, a semi-buffet of Chinese and Western small plates, complemented by your choice of a Chinese or Western main course. The breakfast noodles are especially delicious, served with fresh water chestnuts and shrimp. I particularly want to commend the hotel's service; it was truly warm and welcoming.
The hotel is a convenient 20-minute walk (or 5-minute bike ride) to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden. Ou Garden is a 10-minute walk. Wangshi Garden is a bit further, about a 15-minute bike ride. I'd recommend getting a joint ticket for the first three gardens, which is valid for three days. There are also some fantastic restaurants nearby, and both Pingjiangfu and Jinhaihua are within walking distance. If your budget allows, definitely go for the Songmaoju Suite – it's a private house with its own courtyard, so you won't have to worry about footsteps from above or noise from the shared courtyard. They also have smaller standard rooms to suit various budgets. A small heads-up: one wall of the courtyard rooms faces Pingjiang Road, so it can be a bit noisy during the day, but don't worry, it's very quiet at night.
Just a minor suggestion: the super-large bathroom with a bathtub, double sinks, and three separate areas is fantastic, but there's only one hook. I'd suggest adding a few more. Also, the wardrobe could use some pant hangers.

AAnonymous UserMy recent trip to Suzhou was made absolutely perfect by my stay at the Indigo Hotel Suzhou Grand Canal. Every detail there showcased exquisite craftsmanship and style.
The hotel boasts an excellent location in the Longhu Center of the High-tech Zone, right next to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. You can easily access the mall downstairs and the subway station is within walking distance, making both travel and shopping incredibly convenient.
Stepping into the hotel, I was immediately captivated by the rich Jiangnan charm blended with modern design. The lobby on the ground floor resembles the interior of a traditional Wupeng boat, with arched eaves and Taihu stone landscaping instantly evoking the essence of Suzhou. The 46th-floor sky lobby offers breathtaking panoramic views, with 360-degree floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing Lion Hill, Tiger Hill Pagoda, and the city skyline. As night falls, the twinkling lights make you feel as if you're in a celestial wonderland.
The guest room design was truly ingenious, perfectly integrating garden elements like Suzhou-style latticed windows and Su embroidery screens with a modern minimalist aesthetic. The room was spacious and bright, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows provided a spectacular view, allowing me to overlook the city of Suzhou right from my bed. The bedding was soft and comfortable, the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, and the Atelier Cologne toiletries exuded a luxurious scent. Every detail spoke of quality.
The service was absolutely impeccable. Before check-in, the staff proactively called to confirm my needs and sent a travel guide in advance. Check-in was efficient and thoughtful; I even received a complimentary room upgrade and welcome fruits. The turndown service was meticulous and attentive, providing warm milk and an eye mask. The mini-bar's Suzhou specialty snacks were complimentary and refillable, truly a warm touch.
The hotel's facilities are comprehensive. The 44th-floor heated swimming pool has crystal-clear water, and the high-altitude fitness center is open 24 hours. The breakfast selection was rich and diverse, featuring an array of Suzhou specialties like Aocao noodles and mung bean soup.
Here, you can experience both the ancient charm of millennium-old Suzhou and the convenience of a modern city. It's truly an excellent choice for any trip to Suzhou. I highly recommend it to all my friends visiting Suzhou; one stay, and you'll never forget it. The service was also particularly good.

GGuest UserSeriously one of the most relaxing and therapeutic hotels I've ever stayed in! The environment is so peaceful and quiet, not noisy at all. The moment I walked in, I felt completely relaxed. The subtle fragrance was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was so inviting I didn't want to get up. The staff were exceptionally kind, gentle, and attentive without being intrusive. It's the perfect place to come for a couple of days when you're tired or stressed. You can completely unwind and de-stress, it's a full recharge. I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserMy love for Jiangnan has deepened even further! This time, I brought my 80-year-old mother back to Suzhou. We haphazardly picked this hotel, and to our surprise, it turned out to be absolutely fantastic! This morning, we were woken by the calls of spotted doves outside our window, having had such a wonderfully comfortable sleep. The breakfast buffet was also superb, and the staff were incredibly attentive and detailed. I had originally planned to explore the hotel's surroundings more this morning to take some photos for an online review, but breakfast took longer than expected, so I didn't get a chance to snap many pictures. It's just a few steps from the subway station, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Highly recommend!

DDaziranjuangudexiaoxiaoThis stay was a complete surprise from start to finish, and I have to rave about it! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and elegant, with exceptionally healing views. Every step offers a new scene that helps you relax and escape the city's hustle and bustle, making for a truly comfortable and pleasant stay.
It happened to be our 10th wedding anniversary, and after mentioning it briefly to the front desk, the hotel was incredibly thoughtful and upgraded us for free to a private hot spring courtyard room! The courtyard was quiet and private, and having our own hot spring was serene and romantic – it absolutely set the perfect mood, full of ceremony.
The room was clean and tidy, with a warm and comfortable layout, and attention to detail was evident everywhere. The service was gentle and attentive, warm and considerate without being intrusive. The entire experience was superb. From the environment and room type to the heartwarming service, everything was impeccable. It was a truly memorable stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

Very Good
DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests.
The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries.
Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower.
The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums.
In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs.
Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me.
But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

Very Good
1110153****A clean and affordable hot spring hotel with few guests. The service attitude was genuinely excellent – friendly, attentive, and patient. The hot springs were also good; the key is that there weren't many people, making for a very relaxing soak. Soaking in the winter is truly comfortable. We were warm and toasty, and it wasn't cold at all walking back from the outdoor pools.
The breakfast was abundant with plenty of choices.
However, a few complaints: The family room was advertised to have a sofa bed, but it was very small, only suitable for a child. Once unfolded, half was a hardboard and half a soft cushion, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The shampoo and body wash provided for showering at the hot springs were quite low-quality, and there was no conditioner. Also, the changing room air conditioning was insufficient, so it was quite cold while changing clothes.
