"Extremely satisfied with my stay. After countless visits to Suzhou hotels over the past year, this time I chose the Four Seasons. After confirming my booking, the hotel proactively contacted me to understand my needs and arranged a fantastic room on a high floor with a large lake-view terrace, offering prime views of Jinji Lake. Check-in at the front desk was very smooth. The layout and flow of the Shui Tian Wang Hu room were very well thought out. There's a small entrance table, perfect for temporarily placing items delivered to the room. The open-plan closet is wide and spacious enough to immediately store luggage and clothes upon entering. The corner sofa and round table are great for sitting, enjoying the lake view, and having a drink or a snack. My room, West Wing 601, was a lake-view terrace room with excellent soundproofing. Despite having guests next door, I didn't hear a peep! I also have to praise the silent air conditioning – it's a blessing for someone like me who needs a super quiet environment to sleep. The complimentary bottled water was all imported from New Zealand. Welcome fruits were delivered promptly. The 24-hour in-room dining service is my absolute favorite! In the evening, I enjoyed several drinks at the Lóng Láng Bar, tasting the Opera Cake, Riesling white wine, and two cocktails: a Piña Colada and a special autumn-themed vodka cocktail. The service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable with no added service charge. Signing to the room bill was incredibly convenient. The Four Seasons breakfast is incredibly rich and served from 7 AM to 11 AM – a thoughtful arrangement typical of high-end, guest-focused hotels. While the Suzhou Four Seasons doesn't have an executive lounge, these breakfast hours perfectly match what I'm accustomed to at the executive lounges of Ritz-Carlton hotels. Sitting on the terrace at night, feeling the gentle breeze and gazing at the lake view was incredibly comfortable. On the day of checkout, I had lunch at the Jǐng Jǐn Gé on the hotel's second floor. The front desk had pre-booked a prime, C-position table for me with an excellent view. The meal was very satisfying, and the ingredients were super fresh. Plus, the Four Seasons is a pet-friendly hotel, so next time I'll bring my beloved pet and my parents along!"

"The Lounge: As the hotel's Western restaurant and bar, classic dishes like the Tomahawk steak, Australian Wagyu tartare, and black truffle pasta are all excellent. The freshly mixed cocktails are also well worth trying, especially when enjoyed on the terrace as the sun sets in the evening, or while listening to the wind and admiring the moon after dark. Such an atmosphere is undoubtedly something to be experienced rather than described. The Living Room: Specializes in afternoon tea and light meals. Being a Park Hyatt establishment, it naturally doesn't disappoint. The soft texture of the red bean cheesecake, the smooth creaminess of the strawberry cream cake, and the rich aroma of the cappuccino all effortlessly help you forget the pressures of work and the fatigue of daily life, allowing you to immerse yourself in rare relaxation and comfort. Excellent Service: That's simply what it is – wonderful service. Park Hyatt Suzhou's service embodies the Park Hyatt philosophy of prioritizing guests, often providing unexpected surprises through meticulous details. For instance, Xizhou Xuan will help guests with birthday table arrangements and provide exquisite birthday treats; The Living Room will proactively help guests warm up their food separately and multiple times based on their arrival order; the front office will prepare delicate welcome gifts (fruits, desserts, red wine) according to the theme of the guests' stay; and housekeeping will even proactively provide laundry detergent based on guests' potential laundry needs. "Banyan Tree Suzhou Shishan is the perfect resort for a family vacation with kids! The private hot spring in the courtyard was amazing – the water was clean, and it felt very private. We had a blast. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich and varied, with a semi-buffet style that ensured everything looked great and was fresh. They even included local Suzhou specialties, and the drink selection was extensive and visually appealing. The resort grounds are tranquil and elegant. Alice and all the staff were very attentive. Overall, our stay was a perfect 10, and I highly recommend it for families traveling with children."

"Hotels these days always talk about 'cost reduction and efficiency improvement,' but there's a prerequisite for that: it shouldn't come at the expense of service quality. Otherwise, it's just cutting corners. This hotel definitely gets full marks for its environment. The air in the mountains is fresh, and it's very quiet, with birds chirping and insects buzzing – very peaceful. However, the service staff are all temporary hires, so the service is a bit subpar. Let me give you a few examples: When I checked in, I was told there was a shuttle bus. At first, I didn't take it and walked up the stairs myself. After walking several flights, I felt quite tired. I saw a cleaning lady and asked her where to catch the shuttle. She immediately replied, 'Don't ask me, I'm just here temporarily to clean, I don't know anything.' I was sleeping soundly in the morning but was woken up by sunlight. I saw the sun streaming in from the bathroom window, and the bathroom door was transparent and didn't block the light. I noticed a roller blind on the bathroom window, an electric one, but couldn't find the switch. So I called the front desk to ask. The front desk staff said she didn't know where the switch was either and would have to send an engineering staff member to my room to find it. Eventually, I found the switch on an recessed wall above the bathroom vanity, but by the time I found it, my sleepiness was gone. Since I was awake, I went down for breakfast. There was a host stand at the restaurant entrance, but no one was there. I waited for a while, still no one, so I just went in. A lady in a black suit in the restaurant saw me and asked for my room number. I thought, 'You should at least seat me first before asking for my room number!' She casually pointed and said, 'Just find a seat yourself, any empty spot is fine.' Then she scurried off, no longer caring about the room number. After breakfast, I thought about visiting the nearby Yuyang Mountain Scenic Area. I asked the hotel front desk, and the staff member told me I could take the cable car to the top of the mountain for the views. She confidently told me the cable car station was right at the main entrance of the scenic area. In reality, the cable car station and the main entrance are completely different locations. The cable car entrance is about two or three hundred meters from the hotel, while the scenic area's main entrance is six or seven hundred meters away. If you want to take the cable car up the mountain, don't do what I did and go all the way to the main entrance before backtracking to the cable car entrance. Even a few hundred meters in hot weather can make you sweat profusely. It felt like the hotel staff themselves had never actually been there. I arrived at the hotel around 1 PM, and I wanted to ask if there was a room available for check-in. If not, I'd go out for lunch first. As soon as my car pulled into a parking spot in front of the hotel lobby, a man in a white shirt came over to shoo me away, saying 'Don't park here, don't park here!' in a very aggressive tone. I said I was just asking if there was a room available. He said, 'No room, no room, no room now,' very impatiently. I retorted, 'Oh, so you know everything, do you?' He rolled his eyes at me and walked away. That was my first impression of the 'white shirt' guy. Later, I saw him delivering fruit to rooms, delivering meals to rooms, he was everywhere. In the morning, I was sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for someone to go to breakfast together, and he came over and said, 'Go sit over there, I'm going to turn on the air conditioning, I need to close the doors and windows first,' his tone leaving no room for argument. When I was checking out, I saw 'white shirt' in the lobby helping guests with their luggage, seeming to enjoy himself immensely. I was so curious about what kind of job this 'white shirt' person actually had. Finally, I found out he was the hotel general manager. Well, that certainly fits the bill, a 'Labor Day' experience of life, I suppose. Finally, I'd like to tell the hotel that the bath towels and face towels in the rooms need replacing. They're supposed to be pristine white and soft, but they've become stiff and stained black. The chair covers on the balcony also need to be replaced; they're all torn. All things considered, for a price range of around a thousand yuan, this resort hotel is still worth staying at."

"Facilities: I came here specifically for the boat access and private hot springs. The room with the boat dock faces east, which was perfect for soaking in the hot springs while watching the sunrise! The room was incredibly cozy, the bedding was extremely comfortable, and the mini-bar had a wide variety of items. Since it was my birthday, I was upgraded to a suite, and the Japanese-style tatami tea room was very interesting! Activities: The entire hotel was filled with a pleasant fragrance. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy, like lighting incense, making tea, and reading – perfect for a relaxing getaway. I'd heard great things about the spa, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Next to the spa, there's a collaborating gallery featuring two intriguing exhibitions, and the souvenirs were also quite unique. Plus, the weather was beautiful during my stay, and I really enjoyed borrowing bikes from Yueliu to cycle around! Service: Absolutely exceeded expectations! The front desk butler was very responsive. As it was my birthday, they not only set up a lovely decoration and provided a delicious cake, but several staff members wished me a happy birthday when I encountered them, which was a wonderful surprise! Tina from the spa area was very warm and straightforward, giving me lots of great recommendations, and we had a fantastic chat. Dining: Dining is probably this hotel's weak point. Breakfast was mediocre. The Baiyun restaurant wasn't open, so I went to Yueliu, and while the food tasted pretty good, it was low value for money – definitely high-end 'agritourism' style. However, the ambiance of both restaurants was superb, and on a sunny day, eating breakfast outdoors while petting cats was incredibly pleasant!"

"Had a wonderful 3-day, 2-night trip with my good friends and their families. Regarding service: Our butler, Cindy, was always online and ready to help. The engineering uncle braved the heavy rain to set up the projector for the kids and greeted us warmly the next day. Xu Chenhao from the activities department was a warm and engaging young man, teaching us kayaking techniques, sharing the resort's development story, and taking beautiful photos for every family. The children's club staff were also very welcoming, inviting us to try out various fitness equipment. Regarding cleanliness: Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Regarding dining: The Chinese restaurant was quite good. However, breakfast was a bit mediocre with limited options. By 10 AM, they almost stopped restocking food. Suggestion: Upon check-in, we were offered an upgrade from 2 rooms to 3 rooms, but then told the third room was locked, effectively making it no upgrade at all. They only reluctantly opened it after we complained. I suggest training the front desk staff on what a room upgrade actually means. It might have been better not to offer an upgrade at all if they weren't clear on it."

"This is an incredibly understated resort. With direct access to Taihu Lake, guests can stroll along its shores right from the property and immerse themselves in the aesthetics of classical Suzhou gardens. Upon check-in, the staff were exceptionally warm and thoughtful, passionately introducing us to every facet of the hotel's design, from its architecture to its lush landscaping. To ensure utmost privacy, each courtyard was exclusively reserved for one guest party. In the evening, anticipating the courtyard might feel too quiet, they thoughtfully illuminated the adjacent room. A special thank you to Ms. Gao Xiaoxue and her team, who provided attentive and enthusiastic follow-up from the initial booking to check-in. I'm absolutely thrilled to witness such high-quality domestic resorts emerging in China over the past few years. From the garden vistas to the room's exquisite style, this hotel truly outshines properties like Amanyangyun and Amanfayun! I sincerely hope to return with my entire family on our next trip, should the perfect opportunity arise!"

"The hotel environment is decent, but the check-in experience was just so-so. Besides the room phone, it was difficult to find someone to ask questions, and a certain front desk staff member wasn't clear in their communication. I booked a Lijing Twin Room, and it was very inconvenient traveling with a child. First: Upon arrival, there were no directions on how to get to the lobby. I had to park in the parking lot and then carry my luggage to the lobby. The room assigned and the lobby were in two different buildings, requiring me to lug my bags up and down. With no directions or map, it felt like a maze trying to find my way around. Second: I extended my stay for one night, but I still had to go to the front desk to reactivate my room card. The first time, they were busy, and I said I'd go back to my room and they could process it over the phone. They said that was fine, and didn't mention I absolutely had to come to the front desk. Later, when I called, they said it wasn't possible and I *had* to come in person or add them on WeChat. Even by check-out, my WeChat friend request hadn't been accepted! To get to the front desk, I had to take two elevators or walk outside in the rain. The corridors were also very winding and long, making it inconvenient to get to the lobby and restaurant. There were many self-service aspects, and they didn't explain the parking rules, which resulted in me being charged when I drove out. In short, they only answer if you ask; otherwise, you get no information. All the so-called 'special features' or 'unique activities' were chargeable, and the travel photography was just a joke."

"Location: The hotel is very close to Pingjiang Road, basically within walking distance. We drove to the hotel, and parking was free. The hotel even has its own charging piles, so no need to charge outside. Our itinerary was only around Pingjiang Road, so driving was very convenient. Baitapu Road was indeed very congested, but the hotel is right on Baitapu East Road. After exiting the Changtai Expressway, we only hit a few minutes of traffic before reaching the hotel. Environment: The hotel definitely shows signs of age, but the environment is very well-suited to the garden theme, and the landscaping is beautiful. Our original room type was very spacious with a balcony. Aside from some noticeable wear on the floor, the cleanliness was fine. Service Attitude: The front desk lady was very friendly. Before checking in, I expressed concerns about the hotel being old, so she first showed us the room. We only checked in after confirming we were satisfied. During check-in, I casually mentioned if we could get an upgrade, and after she requested it from the manager, it was approved! 👍 Getting an upgrade so readily put me in a great mood! Room: The hotel has two renovated buildings. You can inquire about them before checking in. The new rooms are quite good and spacious, with a separate wet and dry area and two sinks. This came in handy later when I bought lotus flowers – one sink was perfect for keeping them! Also, all the cups were shrink-wrapped, ensuring good hygiene. The room type also included a qipao experience + 3 photos, but we had already done our makeup and styling elsewhere so we didn't use it, though I saw other guests taking photos. The room type also came with complimentary Suzhou noodles, specifically the Aocao noodles from the restaurant. I really enjoyed them! There were 4 topping options, and both the braised duck and vegetarian toppings were good. Breakfast was delicious! The red bean paste was particularly well-prepared."

"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are very spacious and clean and they give ample supply of bottled water that you’ll not need to buy water outside. The breakfast is the best ever with so much variety including salad and salad dressing, western selections and Chinese selections including desserts and great bread if you prefer something more European! They even have robot delivery services so you can even order your food from outside and have it delivered to your room. The location is close to lots of shops and a restaurant called 苏三姑 Su san gu where you can try some amazing Suzhou food! I’ll definitely return and stay here next time. After eating such a good breakfast here I look a lot more healthier with such good food. One more thing Molly at the concierge was so nice when I checked out. She was very sweet and her service was excellent as she had a nice smile. With people like this it will make your stay a wonderful one. And one more, everyone else including the cleaners and the people at the door were also very nice and helpful in every interaction I had with them, including the handy men that came to fix my door in my room when there was an issue."
