Extremely satisfied! Pingjiang Road, the museum, Lion Grove Garden, and Humble Administrator's Garden are all nearby. It's super convenient to get to all the attractions and for dining, drinking, and entertainment. The owner was very nice. This was the best hotel I've ever booked online. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Suzhou.

Got a complimentary room upgrade, and the room was absolutely charming with a strong Suzhou character, making it feel like I was staying in a classical garden. All the cups were sealed in plastic, and the linens were excellent. The hotel itself can arrange a canal night tour with pick-up and drop-off service, which was very convenient. The location is quite close to Pingjiang Road, but it's a bit of a walk to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum.

Fantastic location right next to Xuanmiao Temple, making it super convenient to get to Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street. The subway entrance is just a 200-meter walk away, and there's a large parking lot with charging stations right outside. Plus, the hotel's own restaurant is located downstairs. We booked the Zen-style room with a tatami mat that can be used for sleeping, essentially making it a family room. They even provided extra bedding and upgraded us to a room with a bathtub! The laundry and drying facilities on the first floor are very convenient, and housekeeping was always prompt. Highly recommend!

The location is fantastic! It's right downstairs from Guanqian Street, making it super convenient to get to Pingjiang Road, the museum, or the Humble Administrator's Garden. When I arrived by subway, a staff member even came out to help with my luggage because the hotel is right by the park. The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel offers laundry and drying services, plus free coffee.

The hotel's location is excellent. The rooms, though not large, are exquisitely designed and elegant – small yet beautiful. I absolutely love this Atour hotel. From the aroma at the entrance to the lighting and decorations, everything is very refined and feels high-end. The front desk staff were very welcoming, especially Huahai, who was incredibly attentive. The laundry service was also a thoughtful touch. The rooms in the old town are smart, spacious, pet-friendly, and offer free parking. They are clean and airy, with comfortable bedding, stable shower water pressure, and good soundproofing. The location is great, near Guanqian Street and Songhe Tower. It's a 20-minute walk to Pingjiang Road and 30 minutes to Humble Administrator's Garden. If you're driving, make sure to contact the front desk in advance for the location.

Wow! Just wow! Such a beautiful, lovely and perfectly located hotel. The room is clean, cozy and pretty with such a lovely atmosphere. The staff was more than helpful. Even with my very limited Chinese they helped me to get tickets for the night event and were really looking after me. I had the best time here. The hotel's location is in a quiet side alley but really close to the main scenic street. I would come back anytime! I was also genuinely surprised by the lovely little gift they had prepared in my room. Thank you for that.

The hotel offers complimentary snacks and ice cream, along with a wide selection of self-service drinks, which is a fantastic amenity. Staff member No. 3 was particularly patient and provided excellent service, even sharing travel and food guides. The hotel was also very clean at night, making for a really comfortable stay.

We spent wonderful nights at Encounter Riverside Homestay and could not fault a single thing about our stay. First off, the location is unbeatable. Tucked right by the river beside Pingjiang Road, the iconic Humble Administrator's Garden is only a 5-minute stroll away on foot — ideal for exploring Suzhou’s ancient town without any hassle. The whole guesthouse has such a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Every room is spotlessly clean, tidy and incredibly cosy, with soft furnishings that made us feel right at home. What made our trip even better were the lovely hosts! They gave us a warm welcome the moment we arrived, and were always happy to share local travel tips and recommendations. Their kindness and hospitality really stood out. If you’re visiting Suzhou and want to stay close to the top scenic spots, this hidden gem is perfect for you. We would absolutely come back again!

Let's talk about the location first: I originally wanted to book a hotel by Jinji Lake, but I'm so glad I booked here instead – it's incredibly convenient! Pingjiang Road is right outside, making it easy to find food, entertainment, and buy souvenirs. But what I really want to rave about is the service. We drove here, and on a weekend, there were a lot of cars around the attractions. I contacted the front desk, and a staff member named Xiao Xu immediately arranged someone to help us with our luggage and provided valet parking. We went straight to the hotel, and a dedicated driver parked our car. When we wanted to go elsewhere, we chose to take the subway, and they even arranged a car to pick us up and drop us off at the high-speed rail station – all we had to do was contact the concierge. We stayed for one night, and we had to check out before 12 PM the next day. I thought the service would end after check-out, but that wasn't the case at all. In the afternoon, we bought some souvenirs and stored them at the hotel. In the evening, when we returned to our car, they even arranged a dedicated staff member to help us carry everything to the car, including all our luggage. The service was absolutely fantastic!!! If we didn't know what to eat or where to stay, the front desk would always arrange everything perfectly. The room has a Suzhou-style garden decoration, giving you the feeling of living in a traditional garden. The building itself is 300 years old, and the environment is lovely, plus it's very clean. What I want to praise the most is truly the amazing service; it made traveling with kids so convenient. Even after checking out, the service didn't diminish, which I'm really grateful for!
