Guest UserTraveling solo to Suzhou for a short trip, I compared many hotels on Ctrip and finally settled on the Anyi Hotel. Overall, it was excellent value for money. The hotel facilities are quite new, the room layout is practical, and there are plenty of power outlets, making it very convenient to charge phones and power banks. The bathroom had consistent water pressure and hot water came quickly, meeting all daily living needs. The room wasn't large but didn't feel cramped, and there was ample storage space for luggage and personal belongings. The location is a significant plus; the metro and bus stops are not far, making it easy to get to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, saving a lot on transportation costs. The hotel isn't on a noisy main street, so it's very quiet at night, allowing for a good night's rest. The price is very competitive for the Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road area, with no inflated premium. For travelers who prioritize practicality and value for money, this hotel comes highly recommended; overall, it was a great choice.

Guest UserThe inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

Guest UserOf all the hotels and guesthouses I've stayed in, this is truly the one I'd definitely return to on my next trip to Suzhou. The location is absolutely perfect; it's outside the scenic area but still within walking distance, and there are some great breakfast spots along the way. Both the metro and bus stops are within a 5-minute walk, which is incredibly convenient. Our room was nestled between a small river and a path, making it wonderfully tranquil. The room itself was absolutely delightful: it had a projector screen, voice-controlled curtains, instant hot water, and a full set of toiletries. It's as if the owner is constantly worried about not treating guests well enough, going above and beyond to provide thoughtful amenities. In the hallway, there's a microwave, a tea station, and a washing machine. They even have a rack of cheongsams, including several made with stretchy fabric, which was a very thoughtful touch. The most commendable aspect, however, were the three young front desk managers. Though young, they were incredibly warm, helpful, and polite in their interactions. A seemingly delicate young lady effortlessly carried two suitcases up the stairs to the second floor without even a hint of breathlessness. After showing me the room, she enthusiastically recommended the owner's free cheongsams. Seeing my hesitation due to my figure, she quickly pulled out a few outfits for me to try on. She was just adorable! All in all, this place feels very warm and comfortable. Haha, does this sound like I'm a shill? Unfortunately, I'm really not, otherwise this review would surely be worth a night's stay! 😂

Here's an objective and factual review:
First, the pros:
1. Staying in Suzhou's old town for just over 200 RMB a night on a weekend is incredibly good value. The hotel is very close to Chayuanchang Metro and bus stations. It's a 10-minute metro ride to Suzhou Railway Station, and you can take bus 262 directly to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum in about 10 minutes. The location is a huge advantage.
2. Being a newly renovated hotel, the room facilities are very new and equipped with smart technology. You can control things with Xiao Du voice commands, which is a great experience.
3. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable – a blessing for anyone with neck or back issues.
Now, the cons:
1. At first glance, the room looks cozy and pretty, but on closer inspection, it's full of hygiene blind spots. An unused disposable paper cup had an eyelash in it, and the paper cup cover was stained, likely not changed in a long time. Even after we asked for new cups the next day, the cup cover remained the old, stained one. The first tissue pulled from the tissue box had a stain on it. The towels also had some small yellow stains, I'm not sure if they were inherent or if the towels weren't washed properly. There was a lot of dust on the floor and in the crevices of the cabinets, indicating it wasn't cleaned thoroughly.
2. The hotel is located behind a wet market, which felt a bit intimidating when arriving late at night. Three hotels share two elevators, and there's no key card access, making the environment feel a bit chaotic and unsafe.
Initially, I thought about changing hotels, but after looking at reviews for other higher-end hotels in Suzhou, it seemed the hygiene situation might be similar, with common issues across the board. For this price, it's somewhat acceptable. If you're traveling with children, I'd recommend booking something a bit nicer.

I chose this hostel for my solo trip to Suzhou, and the overall experience completely exceeded my expectations! It's located right next to the South Gate of Lion Grove Garden, just a few minutes' walk to Pingjiang Road and Humble Administrator's Garden, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city. It's great for getting to all the attractions.
The front desk service was gentle and thoughtful, patiently answering all my questions about sightseeing. The facilities are complete, with laundry and drying areas available. The female dorm beds offer excellent privacy, making me feel very secure as a solo traveler. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Suzhou!
It's so convenient to go anywhere and really comfortable, the value for money is great. A day trip in Suzhou is wonderful. Yesterday there was a bit of sun, and then it immediately rained – truly the misty江南 (Jiangnan, a region known for its misty landscapes)!

The location is fantastic, just a 2-minute walk from the subway station. It's also very close to Xuanmiao Temple and Pingjiang Road, both within walking distance. The only downside is the lack of Wi-Fi service.
