Hotels in Guanqian Street/Pingjiang Street, Suzhou

The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest room—the service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

Even though it's been 10 years since the renovation, the facilities are still modern and advanced. The bathroom has a separate shower and two sinks, which is very convenient. There's also a bathtub with good water pressure. The slippers, comb, and toothbrush are all of good quality, and their classic style perfectly matches the decor. The tea and coffee aren't just teabags; they're high quality. Most importantly, the breakfast is delicious! Whether it's the freshly cooked wontons and noodles or the prepared side dishes, everything tastes great. Special shout-out to the coffee beans – they make a really good cup of coffee.

I'm proactively reviewing this place. I decided to extend my stay by a day, but my original hotel was fully booked, and I didn't want to leave this area. I stumbled upon this place by chance, right across the street. I immediately booked a room, grabbed my luggage, and crossed the road. It has a very small entrance, about 100 meters from Beisitang Metro Station. I arrived early and the room wasn't ready. When I returned in the afternoon, the staff mentioned there was no elevator but offered to help with my luggage. Upstairs, there's a common area that serves as a lobby, like a book bar, with a few rooms around it. The room itself was square and spacious, the shower was large, and the toilet had a bidet. Surprisingly, there were specially curated books placed on the bed, which added a touch of elegance! What was a bit unexpected was a bathtub 🛁😆 in front of the large window. I think a desk would have been better there. The window offers a view of Beisitang Pagoda and the bustling street, but the soundproofing is good. All in all, it's a niche designer living space with a scholarly atmosphere. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Suzhou! P.S. I discovered my favorite Suzhou-style noodle shop, ”Gusu Bridge” Beisitang branch, just 50 meters away! It's a noodle shop centered around a scholarly, refined space – a truly wonderful dining experience. I had already visited three of their branches in two days, and I didn't realize there was one so close. The next day, I went for noodles at 7 AM. There were already a few elderly people eating. Eating noodles while watching the light rain outside, listening to the chirping of crickets from a cage nearby, and admiring the beautiful scenery in front of me created a wonderful memory of my trip to Suzhou!

The cleanliness here is truly impeccable, no complaints at all. The staff are all very practical and efficient, without being overly formal. I especially want to commend Qiao Yan at the front desk – she handled all my requests promptly, whether it was storing luggage or fetching small items, everything was smooth and hassle-free. The mirrors were spotless, completely free of watermarks, the bedding was fresh and clean, and there wasn't a speck of dust in the corners. The ventilation was excellent. The mattress was just the right firmness, and the soundproofing was surprisingly good; I had a great night's sleep and all the travel fatigue melted away. The location is perfect too; you can just step out and walk to attractions and snack shops without needing a taxi or taking detours. Breakfast replenishment was very frequent, so you could pretty much get whatever you wanted, and the food tasted like home cooking. Overall, it offers great value for money. Staying here in Suzhou is definitely a safe bet.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to the station, making it super easy to get to all the attractions. The room was clean and tidy, very comfortable to stay in, and well-equipped. The staff were warm and attentive, which made me feel very much at ease. Overall, the stay was very pleasant. If I have the chance, I'd definitely choose to stay here again.

This is my second time in Suzhou, and I'm very satisfied with the hotel I chose this time. The location is excellent, nestled in an alley, giving it a charming 'Jiangnan' (South of the Yangtze River) feel. It's just a minute's walk from Pingjiang Road, and Metro Line 6 is also nearby. Taxis are easily accessible right at the intersection. The room is very spacious, and the cleanliness is meticulously maintained. They provide a comprehensive set of amenities; I particularly appreciate that there were two or three towels. I really love hotels that pay such close attention to detail. The internet is fast, and watching TV on the large screen is very comfortable. You can also cast your screen, which is much better than a projector – those machines are too noisy when running. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

The room is new, with a modern Chinese aesthetic inspired by the Song Dynasty. It's clean and tidy, and the service attitude is excellent. The kids especially loved having VIP access to movies in the summer. It's not far from the subway station, and there's a mall nearby for dining. It would be perfect if they didn't spray that air freshener on the first floor and just kept it ventilated.

Absolutely amazing! Appearance: The entrance isn't huge, but the front desk is incredibly clean and beautiful. Location: It's just a short walk to Guanqian Street, making the location excellent. Everything is close by, and it's absolutely quiet at night (there's a small green belt separating it from the road, which also provides shade if you're waiting for a taxi). Interior: The room decor is fantastic, and all the appliances are top-notch (we almost didn't know how to use the shower because it was so high-tech!). There's a backlit mirror, which is super convenient for putting on makeup. The TV is large, so you won't be bored resting in the hotel. The pillows and mattress are latex, just like sleeping at home, incredibly comfortable. Service: There's a laundry room, a free coffee machine, and a tea room (with a fridge for storing things). The service is unbeatable, seriously. All the front desk staff are very enthusiastic, and they deliver all food deliveries directly to your door. The owner is also very kind and gave us lots of helpful tips – so thoughtful. Excellent value for money! Highly recommended. My stay in Suzhou was absolutely fantastic, easily one of the best hotel experiences I've had on this trip to China. I'll definitely be choosing this hotel again when I return to Suzhou. The hotel's location is superb, practically just 20 meters from Pingjiang Road. Stepping out of the hotel puts you right on Pingjiang Road, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city. Despite being right next to a popular scenic area, the hotel truly offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, ensuring a peaceful and quiet environment for a great night's sleep every night. What impressed me most was the hotel staff's service. Every single staff member was incredibly warm, professional, and attentive, often going above and beyond my expectations. When my package arrived at the hotel, the staff proactively removed the outer cardboard box, handing me only the contents, as they were concerned the outer box might be dirty and unsuitable for bringing into the room. This might seem like a small detail, but it really showed me that they genuinely consider things from the guest's perspective. Such thoughtful service is truly touching. The hotel also offers a complimentary self-service laundry facility, which is incredibly convenient for travelers, allowing you to easily wash your clothes and make your entire trip more comfortable. The hotel's breakfast is also highly recommended. There's a wide variety of choices, both Chinese and Western, and everything tasted delicious. I enjoyed a satisfying meal every morning, a perfect start to a wonderful day of travel. Additionally, the hotel can assist with arranging tours to various attractions in Suzhou. The prices are reasonable, and it saves you the hassle of arranging transportation and buying tickets yourself. The entire process was very smooth. Transportation is equally convenient. It's about a 5-6 minute walk to Xuanqiao Alley Station on Metro Line 6. Besides Pingjiang Road, there are many local restaurants, snack bars, and breakfast spots along the main road about a 5-minute walk away, offering plenty of options. If I walk to Guanqian Street at my leisurely pace, it takes about 12 minutes. From its excellent location and comfortable accommodation to the quality breakfast and the professional, attentive staff, this hotel left me with a truly wonderful impression. I want to thank all the staff for their care during my stay, which made my Suzhou trip even more relaxed and enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Suzhou; I believe you'll love it as much as I did. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Suzhou!

Service: Excellent! The lady at the front desk was so kind and gentle. She helped us check in, told us all the important details, and personally escorted us to our room. The air conditioning was already on, so walking into a cool room right away was fantastic. Facilities: The room has an automatic toilet, smart home features, a refrigerator, and all the amenities are new and high-quality. The accommodation area, elevators, and even the room doors have facial recognition, which makes it very secure and convenient since you don't need a key card. Environment: Located on Lindun Road, it's a bustling area, making it super easy to order takeout – robots even deliver it right to your door. It's also close to many attractions and the train station.
