Hotels in Shi Road/Shantang business district, Suzhou

The location and environment are great! 👍 Right outside is the popular Xuezhi Street, so you'll never be short of food and drinks. I mainly came for a concert, and after it finished, the street was bustling with people eating chuan chuan, hot pot, and beef soup. It seems like the food is popular, so it must taste good. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much, but the interior design was a pleasant surprise. They even offer pick-up service, which saved me a taxi fare. Overall, it was a good experience! The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet. I didn't take any room photos, so here are some of my beautiful selfies instead!~

This was my second stay at Pingjiang Lodge, probably because my first experience left a good impression. This time, I booked an Elegant King Room, which was in the same building as the lobby. It seems to be an older building, and the overall maintenance is decent. However, some details were a bit frustrating. The bathroom wasn't a wet/dry separation, and showering in the bathtub was really unacceptable, especially since even nearby budget hotels have wet/dry separation. I asked the front desk if I could switch rooms, but they said nothing was available. I even offered to wait for a room to open up, but was still told no vacancies. So, I had to make do. Around 10 PM, the air conditioner started making a strange noise. A maintenance worker came, and it got a little better, but it was still quite loud. Around 11 PM, the front desk offered to move us to an upgraded room, which was a good recovery effort. However, moving in the middle of the night was quite a hassle. We were moved to what I believe was a Tanhua room type, which was much better overall. But, the air conditioner was still incredibly noisy. At that point, I just gave up and didn't want to move again. The room's layout wasn't great either. For example, after showering, you had to walk to the sink to get a towel, then go to another area to dry your hair, but the comb was back in the shower area – it just felt a bit illogical. Still, for the price, it was generally acceptable. The breakfast also wasn't as good as before, and the amenities were replaced with large bottles. Also, when I returned after going out, I wasn't sure if the fruit on the table was placed there during turn-down service. I feel that if staff need to enter the room, they should try to inform guests beforehand.

Service: Excellent! The lady at the front desk was so kind and gentle. She helped us check in, told us all the important details, and personally escorted us to our room. The air conditioning was already on, so walking into a cool room right away was fantastic. Facilities: The room has an automatic toilet, smart home features, a refrigerator, and all the amenities are new and high-quality. The accommodation area, elevators, and even the room doors have facial recognition, which makes it very secure and convenient since you don't need a key card. Environment: Located on Lindun Road, it's a bustling area, making it super easy to order takeout – robots even deliver it right to your door. It's also close to many attractions and the train station.

The room was clean and tidy with great natural light, and the bedding was soft, making for a very comfortable sleep. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and the location was very convenient for getting around by taxi. Overall, it's excellent value for money and a pleasant stay. The small balcony was also a nice touch for taking photos.

I was very satisfied with this hotel. I had a medical check-up at the municipal hospital, which was just one subway stop away. The hotel is right by Shilu subway station, making it incredibly convenient. The interior was very clean, and the air conditioning and fresh air system felt brand new. I had some eye irritation staying at another hotel, but my eyes felt fine here. I was pleasantly surprised to find a window room with a bathtub, which wasn't mentioned on the details page. They even gave me a complimentary bottle of water when I checked out, which was a nice touch. There seemed to be several large shopping malls nearby, but I was in a hurry and didn't get to explore. I'll definitely come back next time I visit with friends!

The location is fantastic, just two subway stops from Suzhou Station, and very close to Lingering Garden, Shantang Street, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Suzhou Museum. It's right next to Vientiane City Mall, with another mall directly opposite, so dining and shopping are incredibly convenient and enjoyable. What's more, you can find authentic Suzhou local snacks right in Vientiane City, saving you the trouble of searching elsewhere. This was a huge plus, especially traveling during the scorching summer. The hotel really emphasizes thoughtful, non-intrusive service. The rooms are spacious and quiet, offering beautiful views of Suzhou's morning and nightscapes. On the last night before we left, the AC wasn't cooling, and the bread left in the room wasn't fresh. The front desk promptly prepared fresh bread and had it ready to be delivered to our room first thing the next morning. They also offer a bed-joining service and have many family-friendly activities, making it perfect for family trips. Downstairs is the Zizhi Garden, a restoration based on historical documents. Though small, it perfectly captures the charm of a Suzhou-style garden. I personally think it's even better for photos than the larger garden attractions because there are fewer crowds. Taking pictures, feeding the fish, and enjoying the scenery there is truly delightful.

A clean simple room. this place is close to shops and transportation. . The hotel staff Xiaoli and friends are helpful and hardworking. Common area carpet and seat inside the room is acceptable but better to be improved to attract more visitors. . Good value for money . No breakfast area with tables to eat but no big issue as shops next door along the street . Eating place not far. Hotel street address 406 in trip.com is wrong as it is a shop address but actual hotel location is just next door on far left . dont be confused.. follow 408,410,412 so on until the corner of the block on the bus stop . there is no latin name but hotel is using chinese character in orange background color . There is a cute kid size statue outside the front door .

The front desk lady was incredibly friendly and professional, and she responded very quickly. The room was elegantly simple, well-equipped with amenities like a mini-fridge and a sterilizer, and the projector screen was high-definition. Plus, it's very easy to find, being so close to the subway exit.

This was my first stay at a Hyatt Group hotel. First, the good points: The location is great, just two subway stops from Suzhou Station. You can take the elevator up from Exit 9 or 10 and walk to the hotel in 5 minutes. There's a Starbucks downstairs and a spacious hotel lobby. The room was large; I was upgraded to a business room on the 26th floor. It faced north, which was nice in summer as it didn't get direct sunlight. Toiletries, slippers, and two bottles of water were provided. The mini-fridge also had complimentary Sprite, soda water, soda crackers, and Oreos. The shower pressure was excellent, and the air conditioning was adjustable. You can order takeout, and a robot delivers it to your room. Ctrip points could be used for a discount. ——————————————————————— Now for the complaints: The three-part bathroom (toilet, shower, sink) is a good concept. However, there's no place to put clothes. Before showering, you have to completely undress to go in, and then it's chilly when you come out. I suggest adding a chair or a clothes rack. There's no trash can by the sink. You either have to use the small one in the toilet area or walk all the way to the sofa area to throw things away. It's very inconvenient. There should be one by the sink. The same goes for tissues; there should be a box by the sink. The pillows were too soft, and no memory foam pillows were available. The coffee machine at the mini-bar had a very dirty water reservoir. While the snacks in the fridge were complimentary, the soda crackers contained palm oil, which is quite unhealthy. Soundproofing was just average. The seal on the bathroom door was no longer sticky. The room lighting was too dim at night, not enough light. Overall, this was my first time here, and I won't be coming back. If it weren't for the Ctrip points discount, I wouldn't have booked it myself. Aside from the location, I didn't experience the luxury I associate with Hyatt.

The location is excellent, but the facilities are a bit old. The owner said the hot water was broken, which resulted in the water being yellow that day, so the bathtub I specifically booked couldn't be used. Everything else was pretty good.
