The red date and longan health tea is delicious, and the breakfast variety is rich. Next time you come to Suzhou, I will choose Chunshen Lake Hotel!"

"Seriously, who knew? Tucked away in a surprisingly quiet spot near Guanqian Street, I stumbled upon this hidden gem of a B&B, brimming with a new-Chinese aesthetic! ✨
✅ Stepping into the room, the whole design exudes a warm, natural wood vibe. Light-colored wooden furniture paired with soft lighting, and a headboard adorned with elements of Suzhou's landscapes – every detail whispers the city's unique charm. Even the lamps are delicate little lanterns, full of Jiangnan character, instantly slowing down the urban pace.
✅ The smart XiaoDu (AI assistant) in the room totally gets lazy people! Just a shout can turn lights on/off, open/close curtains, or adjust the air conditioning. No fumbling in the dark for switches – pure peace of mind. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, a full set of toiletries, and even complimentary Tie Guan Yin tea bags. Sipping tea in the evening while gazing at the white walls and dark tiled roofs outside the window is just blissful.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful Chinese New Year holiday at this hotel. The decorations were perfect for taking photos, and the service was thoughtful and warm. The security guard at the entrance even kindly told us about the shuttle bus to the ancient town and gave lollipops to the kids! The lantern show at Daguan Garden was absolutely stunning at night. Since there weren't many people, the kids had a blast running around the corridors. The complimentary travel photoshoot was great value for money, though posed shots aren't really suitable for young children, especially with two of them – props to the photographer for his patience! 😂 The Chinese New Year activities in the lobby were very entertaining. The indoor and outdoor kids' play areas, though not huge, kept the little ones occupied for a while. The heated pool's water was a bit cool, which could be improved. Overall, it's a great resort for families with both elderly parents and young children, and I noticed a surprisingly high number of seniors among the guests! 😝

The hotel has a garden-style design, making you feel like you're in a classical Suzhou garden, surrounded by birdsong and fragrant flowers. They offer complimentary snacks and ice cream, free cocktails, and three free travel photos. It's a shame I only stayed one night; I was so pressed for time I only managed to try a cocktail. The only minor drawback is that there's no robot delivery service for food to the room; you have to pick it up from a locker outside the lobby.

YYipianyunI initially thought this was just a standard hotel apartment, but my expectations were completely exceeded after checking in. The lobby alone gave a five-star hotel impression, offering complimentary tea and candies, comfortable lounge seating, and a lobby café with excellent service. The hotel is conveniently located near a grand theater, museum, and cinema, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the East Tai Lake waterfront. In the evenings, you can witness beautiful sunsets, and a stroll along the shore is incredibly romantic. There's also a musical fountain at night, with twinkling lights creating a picturesque scene. During my stay over Chinese New Year, I was thrilled to see a magnificent fireworks display – something I hadn't seen in years! Overall, my experience was fantastic. However, I do have one suggestion: during peak breakfast hours, it would be great if guests could be queued for entry, and I recommend improving crowd management and the professionalism of staff at the restaurant entrance.

QQingshuixianshengI truly love the Four Seasons Suzhou, and not just because it's a Four Seasons property. More importantly, every stay here deepens that feeling of coming home. The luxurious and grand ambiance, the secluded island setting, the thoughtful and warm service, and the friendly, welcoming smiles – isn't this the ultimate dream for modern city dwellers when they choose a luxury hotel? As one of the top luxury hotels in the Suzhou area, the Four Seasons Suzhou offers guests so much: comfortable sleep, delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and attentive service. Especially that last point – in terms of service and attention to detail, the Four Seasons Suzhou is definitely a leader in China. Yet, its prices are still approachable and reasonable, which really highlights its excellent value for money.
Let me give two examples from my personal experience. First, baggage handling: when we checked in, our car drove directly into the underground parking. A concierge staff member (a woman at the entrance to the underground elevator) immediately ran over to help us with our luggage (one large and one small suitcase, plus several other bags). A minute later, two male colleagues from the same department also arrived, and all three helped us take our bags upstairs. Second, the check-in details: the team, led by Cherry, the Director of Rooms, had prepared everything well in advance. Besides being specially greeted in the lobby, there were fresh flowers, room keys (standard and a special little fish design), custom glass stickers in the room, a hand-drawn card, welcome fruit, and so much more – the sense of occasion was truly impressive.
I sincerely thank the hotel's management and operations teams for their meticulous care and enthusiastic efforts towards me and my family during this stay. They include staff whose names I know and many more whose names I didn't catch: Cherry (Director of Rooms), Nicole (Director of Housekeeping), Penny (Guest Relations Manager), Jarven (Assistant Front Office Manager), Charles (Executive Chinese Chef), Chef Jin, Tina (Operations Manager), Supervisors Holly and Yusi, Jerry (Yunhe Restaurant Manager), Supervisor Amy, Chef Kevin, Naomi (Long Bar Restaurant Manager), Irene (Team Leader), Chovy (Concierge Supervisor), and others. A big thank you to all of them!

We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and couldn't be more impressed! From the moment we arrived, Ella went above and beyond to make our stay memorabl. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely caring—always ready with helpful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. Her personal touch made all the difference.
What we loved:
• Super kid-friendly – Our children absolutely loved it here! The hotel clearly caters to families, with thoughtful amenities and a welcoming atmosphere that kept the little ones happy throughout our stay.
• Beautiful hot springs – The onsen was a highlight. Soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters while surrounded by nature was pure bliss and the perfect way to unwind.
• Breathtaking views – Every glance out the window rewarded us with stunning scenery that made mornings and evenings truly special.
• Comfortable, well-appointed rooms – Spacious, clean, and cozy with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were especially comfortable!

🍃 Service: The front desk and housekeeping services were excellent, highly recommend!
📍 Location & Transportation: It's very close to the lumber trail, perfect for an evening stroll after dinner.
📢 Soundproofing: The soundproofing is very good.
🛏 Bed: The bed was comfortable and I slept really well.

GGuest UserThe hotel has everything to have a great journey. It's clean, the room are spacious and beautiful. I had always get a warm welcome from the employees at the entrance. I stayed 2 weeks there.
The breakfast is great with many choices.
The gym has everything you need but some equipments are a bit old or in bad condition. It can be busy the evening.
Also there is a mall next, with many restaurants inside. And a massage center in front by crossing the street (foot massage must be tried during your stay)
Laundry service is really expensive (I paid around 80 USD for a small size machine)

DdyhxThe hotel has its own onsen area that's open to non-hotel guests. So the entrance starts with the shoe cabinets before reaching the front desk that serves both onsen day-use guests and hotel guests.
The Japanese themed room was luxurious. Very clean and impeccably maintained, good sound proofing I could hear a pin drop in the room. Double basins, Dyson hair dryer, bidet toilet bowl, standing shower and a huge zen sofa couch area by the window, complete with tea and chess set. Pity there's not much of a view out there. There's also no phone here, just a speaker by the bedside table or one can use WeChat to communicate with the front desk and of course robot deliveries.
Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking. Service is excellent and they even provide turn down service. I left the room for onsen and came back to a room where the curtains are drawn, a plate of fruits on the table, floor towel laid out in the shower area with the bath towel, originally under the basin, now hung on the door of the shower.
The stay package came with an Afternoon Tea set of fruits, desserts and crackers. The cheesecakes were meh but the pineapple tart made up for it. Fruits were fresh and yums.
In-house guests were given unlimited access to the Onsen and I took my time to enjoy it fully. It's a full Jap style onsen, meaning going fully naked. A rather small onsen with just 3 pools but the outdoor one was the best, soaking in 43 degrees pool in the cold. There's a chill out area outside including a lounge, meditation room and a movie-cum-reading room (what an irony though). They also have private onsen rooms for rent at additional costs.
Leisurely breakfast the next morning at 930am. Yes, I had to choose a specific hour to be at breakfast as it's a Jap bento set with a partial buffet (of noodles and porridge). Not outstanding for me.
But otherwise, it was 5* experience and I recommend this to anyone planning to come to Taicang to experience the onsen.

GGuest UserFirst time staying at a Banyan Tree hotel, and I was full of anticipation! 😊 The hotel is quite beautiful, especially at night. The service was also excellent, from the front desk and restaurant staff to the housekeeping aunties – everyone was wonderful and I was very satisfied. I do have two suggestions: firstly, the soundproofing in the guest rooms is quite poor. I could clearly hear footsteps and water running from upstairs, as well as conversations and doors opening nearby. Secondly, the breakfast was too simple; the selection was small and very ordinary, more like what you'd find at a guesthouse. It's a huge discrepancy compared to the room rate.

GGuest UserMy experience at the HUALUXE Suzhou Bay Hot Spring Resort was absolutely perfect! As an IHG property, the quality is consistently excellent. The new Chinese-style design is elegant and grand, with the lobby and public areas showcasing beautiful Oriental aesthetics throughout. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. Opening the window revealed stunning views of Taihu Lake – truly breathtaking. Direct access to Wangyan Hot Spring is a huge plus; there are many pools, and the environment is serene. Soaking in the hot springs at sunset was incredibly therapeutic. The service was warm and attentive, with special thanks to Front Desk Manager Banxia for her thoughtful and meticulous care. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and the dining overall was great. Parking is convenient. This is my top choice for a relaxing getaway, highly recommended!
