It was also very convenient to get to Moonlight Wharf, and the night view was charming."

Excellent! The hotel is clearly designed for large conferences, so it's incredibly spacious – it actually felt larger than the entire Xizha scenic area in Wuzhen! Located right on Tongli Lake, it boasts absolute prime lake views and is within walking distance of the ancient town. The landscaping and overall greenery are very high-end and luxurious.
## Cleanliness:
Lacks attention to detail. The lakeside pavilions had quite a few cobwebs and bird droppings. There were also cobwebs outside the room window. The Daguan Garden area is currently under renovation, which made that section look a bit desolate.
## Room:
This time we had a standard room. While no lake view was understandable, the window faced another room's window, which was pitch dark and a bit eerie at night – I'm not sure if it was a conference room. There was absolutely no greenery outside, as you can see from the pictures. I believe this is the area that most urgently needs improvement.
## Service:
The service was excellent. The staff were attentive, always greeted us with smiles, and were very professional.
## Facilities:
Also very impressive. The swimming pool was exceptionally clean, with several sprinklers inside, making it very suitable for children. It was a pity we didn't bring our swimsuits this time. We did play table tennis, and the court was good. There's also golf, but we couldn't go due to the rain.
## Breakfast:
Mediocre. The dining area was quite small, and the variety of food was limited. It didn't match the hotel's overall standard, and disappointingly, the venue didn't offer lake views either. It felt like the entire long lakeside wasn't well utilized for dining, which is a real shame.
## Other Points:
We purchased a package deal this time. The package included 'Tongli Night Tour,' which we initially assumed meant the hotel would provide tickets or some sort of activity. However, there was nothing of the sort; it merely implied you could go to Tongli Ancient Town yourself at night. How can this be included in a package? I find it misleading. Furthermore, the minibar only contained four Master Kong soft drinks, which felt very stingy.
## Overall:
The hotel's hardware facilities, stunning views, and service level are all up to par. Despite some minor issues, it is still highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserIt was already evening when we arrived, and the hotel's entrance lights were especially beautiful, creating a delightful and warm atmosphere. Our butler, Molly, was incredibly thoughtful; she confirmed all our holiday arrangements in advance, helped decorate the room, and even surprised us with a lovely and delicious chocolate cake. She was still replying to messages quite late, which I felt a bit bad about. We had a wonderful weekend here, and I'm very grateful for Molly's hard work. The Four Seasons is truly captivating; I definitely want to bring my family back next time.

EE0143****At the end of 2025, I was looking for a resort hotel around the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai area and chose the Suzhou Bay Eastern Taihu Hotel, which has a great reputation. The hotel is divided into three areas: the Lakeside Building (Jīnshuǐ Lóu), the Lakeview Building (Wànghú Lóu), and the VIP Building (Guìbīn Lóu). The villa area is part of the Lakeside Building. Breakfast is served on the first floor of the Lakeside Building's lobby. The Zhen Hot Springs and indoor heated swimming pool are on the basement level of the Lakeview Building. The hot springs are open from 2 PM to 10 PM, as the front desk will remind you upon check-in. I must specifically mention how beautiful it is to soak in the outdoor pools, nestled among the lush greenery, when the sun sets and reflects off the lake on a clear day. It truly lifts your spirits and provides complete relaxation. The hotel's environment and landscaping are top-notch, covering a vast area. It's adjacent to Bay No. 0 and Suzhou Bay Sports Park, with clean roads throughout the property, making it especially suitable for guests who enjoy running or walking. There's even a dedicated running track by the lake. The hotel area and the open-access Suzhou Bay Sports Park can be accessed with a room card. True to its five-star rating, the hotel boasts excellent facilities and hardware. The villa area we stayed in was built in 2021. Each villa typically has 6 rooms, suitable for single guests or several families/friends staying together. The rooms have good soundproofing. Entry to the lobby requires a room card for access. There are free parking spaces all around, making it safe and convenient. The room facilities are well-maintained. For card players, there are also paid mahjong/card rooms available. There's also a 24-hour unstaffed convenience store, and you can, of course, order takeout. Within a few kilometers of the hotel, there are two major commercial complexes: Sands Outlet and Wuyue Plaza. The hotel's front desk and bellhop service are excellent, well-trained, and highly efficient. During our stay, a dedicated butler was assigned to us. Any requests or questions could be communicated online with the service butler at any time, and responses were prompt, earning consistent praise in many guest reviews. Free electric shuttle carts are available to different areas of the hotel upon request. The only slight drawback was the buffet breakfast, which felt average and has room for improvement.

I just checked out and couldn't wait to write this review! After staying one night at Hualuxe Suzhou Bay, I was completely charmed by its 'super cozy' experience.
1. **Warm Chinese aesthetics enveloped in winter softness, with a gentle garden view from the window.**
The moment I opened the door, I was embraced by warm wooden tones and soft yellow lighting. Any chill from the winter air instantly dissipated. The twin beds had plush bedding, and snuggling in felt like sinking into a duvet that had been basking in the sun all morning. With the bedside warm lights dimmed, even the shadows felt soft.
Opening the French windows revealed the hotel's garden – winter morning mist clinging to neatly trimmed greenery, the morning sun warming the foot of the bed, and even the frosted lawn in the garden glowed softly. The small tea tray by the desk offered a variety of specialty tea bags. I boiled some water, brewed a cup, and leaned by the window to watch the staff tending to the flowers in the garden. Even moments of zoning out were filled with a warm, homely atmosphere. It truly brought the comfort of 'winter at home' right into the hotel.
2. **The Christmas ambiance warmed me to the core.**
The Christmas decorations at the hotel these past few days are just perfect! The Christmas tree in the lobby was adorned with small bells and twinkling lights. The front desk staff greeted guests proactively and even presented limited-edition Christmas gifts upon check-out. Everywhere I went, there was a sweet festive feeling.
3. **Breakfast turned directly into 'brunch.'**
A carb lover's delight! Suzhou-style noodles, freshly made Jianbing Guozi (savory crepes), and rows upon rows of Chinese and Western pastries. Even the freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate milk, and freshly squeezed juices came in several flavors. I ate from 7 AM to 9:30 AM without repeating a single dish and was so full I wasn't hungry until noon!
4. **Photo wall + pet paradise: warmth in every detail.**
That photo wall in the lobby was so touching – there were photos of guests' marriage proposals, candid shots of families with kids enjoying all four seasons, and even 'exclusive photoshoots' for the corgis in the pet paradise. Standing there for ten minutes, I felt like the wall was filled with heartwarming stories. The outdoor pet paradise was an unexpected bonus; you could interact with soft bunnies and peacocks. We spent time squatting and feeding carrots, turning our trip into a 'pet petting session'!
5. **Hot springs are a godsend for the lazy! Discount + convenience.**
Hotel guests directly enjoy a discounted price for the hot springs, and it's only a 5-minute walk from the guest rooms to the hot spring area, no hassle of traveling far! The pool temperature was just right. After soaking, I wrapped myself in a bathrobe and headed back to the room. The comfort of winter was truly maximized!

HHuahuaxiaojiejiePerhaps due to the room type, both rooms were far from the elevator. Around 8 a.m., there was a thumping noise from upstairs. The room was spacious, but the downside was that there was no TV or refrigerator. If you wanted to cool something, you had to go up to the second floor, which was quite inconvenient. If you were picking up a tour driver, you had to have him go into the lobby and scan a QR code before you could leave.
The breakfast here was very poor. There was no basic milk, juice, or sauces. The outside bar only had two kinds of pickled cucumber and plain porridge. I got a bowl of bland noodles, so I skipped it the next day! It was simply not good.
It's a shame that the hotel rooms are basic, but the food wasn't well-received.

__WeChat289837****The Banyan Tree in Shishan seems to have opened last year. The hotel's public areas, room environment, and facilities are all quite new and well-maintained. The only minor issue is the sofa in the courtyard; it's a bit of a wasted feature, exposed to the sun and rain, making it impractical to use. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with the environment. Their service is also excellent; the front desk delivers takeout directly to the room, and any requests are handled promptly. I stayed for two nights and felt very comfortable. It's not far from Shanghai, making it perfect for a staycation. They offer small gifts during turndown service in the evening, though I got the same refrigerator magnet two nights in a row 🤣. When checking out, the front desk gave me a cute little lion plushie, which was a nice touch☺️.
My only complaint is that the breakfast selection isn't very extensive, especially the Western pastries. I personally love cake, but they mostly offered bread… Aside from that, everything else was excellent!👍

GGuest UserThe hotel has everything to have a great journey. It's clean, the room are spacious and beautiful. I had always get a warm welcome from the employees at the entrance. I stayed 2 weeks there.
The breakfast is great with many choices.
The gym has everything you need but some equipments are a bit old or in bad condition. It can be busy the evening.
Also there is a mall next, with many restaurants inside. And a massage center in front by crossing the street (foot massage must be tried during your stay)
Laundry service is really expensive (I paid around 80 USD for a small size machine)
