The check-in process is smooth and the owner is very helpful. Very clean room and quiet surroundings. There is a bit of walking distance between the subway station, but very close to PingJiang Road (＜ 5 minutes).

I recently stayed at this hostel and was pleasantly surprised. Its central location and budget-friendly rates were definite highlights. The beds were also really comfy. If you're looking for a straightforward and comfortable place to stay without any unnecessary frills, I highly recommend this spot.

All pretty good… just the electricity tripped while I was there for the first night… was too tired to complain

It is all Great, that is why it is suggested by Trip.com I must say. The owner is so nice and helpful, we arrived so early but he let us in without any extra charge. I had a wonderful time there and drink coffee with the owner and his neighbour. Really feel like living in the real life of China. Thanks a lot.

We ended up giving our host the name 'Fred'... because he is truly a big friendly guy. The place might be a little rustic, but that was a big draw for us. What it lacks in facilities (not that we needed any of them), compared to a bigger hotel it more than makes up for in its intimacy and warmth of service. There is also a small tea/coffee room with the window facing the waterway - nothing fancy, but I happily spent almost an hour in there planning my day, while watching locals and the resident duck go about their day. When it came to advice, Fred was detailed, to the point of recommending us the best places to eat along the way to our destinations, what is there in the area. The room is generally clean, and so is the bed. The bathroom does have a few occasional bugs, but that is simply due to the area you're in. The tv has a good variety of movies, though everything is in Chinese (but they do have old HK comedies...a favourite of mine). The walls may be made of concrete, but noise somehow passes through, and we can hear the occupants next door in lively conversation. But other than that, I had a good night's sleep. You are literally just a few tens of meters from Pingjiang road, but far enough not to get disturbed by the nightly hustle and bustle. It is also walking distance to the Humble Administrators Garden and IM Pei's cool white building of historical Chinese things.

Last time I came to Suzhou, I took my parents to stay in a hotel. I was worried that the inn might be a pitfall for the elderly and that the rest would not be good, which would affect their mood for the next day. This time, my husband and I chose this inn, which is a five-minute walk from Pingjiang Road. The owner's attentiveness can be felt in some details. The quality of disposable toiletries is also better than that of ordinary hotels. The owner carefully prepared disposable toilet covers. I want to stay here next time I come to Suzhou. There is a stream in front of the door! We stayed for two nights and chose different room types. We felt that it was very cost-effective and satisfied 👍 In the evening, the boss's wife sent two boxes of special desserts. There was no extra words, just giving them to us to try, and no praise. The room is clean. I often travel for business. This shop is worth commenting on. You can see the owner's attentiveness everywhere, including toothbrushes, soaps and wet toilet paper. Five-star hotels don't have these details. Ordinary B&Bs only have water, which is also very common. This shop has two. The owner also sent snacks. I don't know if they all have them. It is very close to the Pingjiang Road Historical District. There is a small river right outside the door. The district is very lively, but the place where you stay is relatively quiet, suitable for leisurely sightseeing and appreciation.
