This place is perfect for solo traveller as it is at the spot of the water town. Plenty of activities to do, plenty of food to eat and plenty of views to see. Totally recommend this place. Only downside is that the place is not fully sound proof hence might experience some disturbance when other occupants close their doors or move about. All in all a great place to stay.

The location is very nice, located in the heart of the township.

Chanced upon this lovely boutique hotel and book it immediately for 3 nights stay! No regret~ The staffs are very attentive and always greet you with a big smile. Smart toilet is a must during autumn/winter time! Location is super strategic, next to pin Jiang road for all foods and entertainment. We had great view looking out from our balcony! While it is a good location, it is a walking distance away from car drop off points, beware if you have many luggages. We had only one incidents when next door guest smoked inside the room and the smoke travels to our room through the common air duct. Thanks for the responsive staff who helped us to talk to the next door guest.

Nicely designed hotel in great location of Pingjianglu. Very kind staff. The daily room cleaning could be improved - for example the bed didn’t got made up after the first night. Rooms are a little small.

Excellent service, location and experience

The hotel is in a great location, right on Pingjiang Road. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are warm and thoughtful, and moon cakes and fruits were given when we checked in during the Mid-Autumn Festival. I especially like the public terrace on the third floor, where you can see Pingjiang Road and the Oriental Gate in the distance.

The overall environment is very good, you can take pictures on the first floor and in the yard. The boss is very enthusiastic, added WeChat in advance to communicate the itinerary and route, and helped us pack the things we left at the hotel in bags, which is very considerate.

The hotel is located in Pingjiang Road, very clean, and the service attitude of the lady is super good! The crab roe noodles recommended to us taste good, and the children don't want to leave... Suzhou is great, I will come again next time!!!

The location of Donghuali is really good. It is very convenient to go to Humble Administrator's Garden, Couple Garden, Lion Grove, etc. When you go out, you will reach Pingjiang Street. You can spend a whole day shopping and shopping. You can see the big pants on the public balcony of the hotel. It is very comfortable to blow the wind at night. The room of the B&B is warm and tidy, and it is relatively quiet at night, so you can have a good sleep. The lobby of the B&B is my favorite place. Because the weather in Suzhou is relatively hot, I stayed in the hotel for two afternoons. I could be in a daze for a long time just by looking at the scenery in the courtyard. There are also books to pass the time. It is very leisurely. The management lady in Donghuali is very gentle, and she also carefully introduces you to travel routes and food. Thumbs up!

I stayed in Donghuali for the second time and chose the same room. The room was clean and the housekeeper was as enthusiastic as before. I chose this place mainly because of its excellent location, right on Pingjiang Road. It only takes 15 minutes to walk to the Humble Administrator's Garden. As long as you can get up early, you can avoid the crowds and enjoy the silence that belongs to the locals of Suzhou.
