We enjoyed our stay at the Brit Hotel, Limoges, for the most part. Although the room was unusually small (two people could barely fit), it was clean and comfortable. Up until checkout, the only odd event was an employee offering my wife a drink, which she refused, but was then served a beer nonetheless. No big deal, but she then was charged for it. Anyways, not a deal-breaker. The surprise at check-out actually started just as we arrived, two days prior. We asked about paying for breakfast, and were told (by the same employee), that it was included with our room fee. We thought that was great, so decided to spend that money on the pool/spa “experience” (which is not included – 30 Euros/person extra). Fast forward back to check out, and we were told we owed for breakfast, as well as other administrative charges (city taxes, etc.) that we had already been charged upon checkin. Oddest of all, as we explained the situation to the manager during checkout, she acknowledged the mistakes of her employee, but nevertheless insisted on us paying all supplemental fees (in some cases, for the second time). At no point during the process did hotel staff show any hint of “customer service”, benefit of the doubt, taking responsibility for their errors, etc. 100% strong front against us, the customer. The money was not the point for us, we just paid it all without contest. But the principle still stings. Reluctantly, we would not recommend you stay at this hotel.
Relax beside Lake Uzurat with a quiet stay at the Novotel Limoges Le Lac. The hotel is ideal for relaxing, with a well-lit and cheery lounge area and games for children. There's a fitness room too, with a heated swimming pool in summer, and the Gourmet Bar restaurant has a terrace facing the lake. The hotel also includes 5 meeting rooms and a coworking space, ideal for business guests.

We have stayed here several times this year. Blague 1: Having tried various items from the particularily uninspiring plain typed sheet ‘menu’ we are convinced the kitchen cannot cook so we are resigned to just having the burger each time. Blague 2: We both ordered the ‘chicken burger’ (authentic French). My wife’s duly arrived but nothing for me. Five minutes later mine arrived with no apology but cold fries (what is going on in the kitchen). Blague 3: the maitre d’ three months ago was a complete novice who tried to open a bottle of champagne with a corkscrew😁 now he’s in charge he cannot see the customer failure of serving a table at different times. When I said “C’est une blague” he said it wasn’t Blague 4: the €17.50 chicken burger was three chicken nuggets. Blague 5: the offered cheese ‘Tome’ was the oldest crustiest cheese imaginable. Clearly offloading old stock. I do long for the Novotels that we have used and enjoyed for years; this is a joke but I guess you have worked that out.

Excellent
I have to say overall this is a very good hotel which i have stayed at many times. I requested a calm room & was initially offered room 310. As soon as we walked in the smell of fried food was terrible also the fan for the air con did not switch off which meant we had to change rooms first to the 5th floor & was then told sorry can't use that it will be the 4th floor. This hotel seems to lack staff to cope with such events. We had a meal next door which is no longer La Boucherie & as such has less choice. I ordered a glass of wine which was adequate but the refill was half the size. My reaction to this was met by a rude waitress. Breakfast is not worth the money if you are looking for any hot food. Gone are the lovely scrambled eggs & bacon for a dried omelet & frankfurter. Not the best experience this time.
GGuest UserHotel as an intermediate stop on the way to the Pyrenees. It is quickly and easily accessible from the continuous motorway. Booked with 'Christmas offer' but also without this offer excellent price-quality! Quick check-in, friendly reception. Prima location also for visiting the city of Limoges and near the beautiful station ('one of the most beautiful train stations in the world'! ). We had a four-person room, this was very spacious and provided with basic facilities. Parking can (for €6,- per day) in the parking garage below the hotel. This is a little tight, but good to do (max. height about 2.10m) and easy to reach. Direct connection with lift to the floors. Breakfast has enough choice and quality is OK.
GGuest UserGood quality of service and room. We appreciate mostly the beds ! A nice place to be for business or with family in Limoges. We appreciate also the employees, very kind. We would return there with pleasure.
GGuest UserLike all Ibis hotels. Small and cosy. Located more or less in the centre. Many good eateries just outside the hotel. And within 10 minutes walking distance of Montjovis and Benedictins stations. Was there for 2 nights and no complaints. The lift to go up is really small, I hear one person complaining about it being like a coffin.
GGuest UserA clean, well located Ibis in a lovely part of France. Having travelled overnight from the UK, I was extremely tired on arrival and was pleased to discover that check in is open from noon. Like most budget hotels, the room is fairly basic but offers everything you need aside from tea/coffee making facilities (a vending machine is available in the lobby). The bed is reasonably comfy although you only get one pillow each so some guests may struggle to get properly comfy. The mattress is also on the “firm” side. The location is adjacent to the motorway so those rooms at the front may experience some traffic noise (I was at the rear of the building). However, the windows are double glazed so it’s possible this isn’t an issue. Car parking is good and seemingly secure. The staff are helpful and polite. Breakfast is an unlimited continental offering - fresh and tasty with great coffee. For what it costs, Ibis Budget are great!
This is my third visit use to be very good value. Now the place is falling apart the handle came off we we were locked in our room the girl on the desk had he partner there all the time so you felt rude having to interrupt them to get something as a regular visitor to the area I like to stop where I know the facilities so will be going elsewhere in the future place is also very dirty very poor parking and if you wish to park in hotel more money of course rip off only saving grace is the wonderful river but won't be going to this hotel again.
