Madison Carrington Apartments

My family occupied two, two bedroom apartments and two, one bedroom apartments for a one week holiday. Our ages ranged from 4 to 80. Everyone was very happy with their accommodation. The rooms were clean and well maintained with appropriate kitchen and laundry facilities. We had six children eleven and under and the rooms had plenty of space for the kids to play together. The location is fantastic with immediate access to public transport and restaurants. A lot of building works nearby mean some inevitable noise but that's temporary and part of city life. Dovile was very attentive and helpful. We will certainly use this facility again when we holiday in Sydney. Highly recommended. David

I had the misfortune of staying at this place from 13-15 June. The checkin went well with a pleasant, friendly, helpful receptionist. Although the room hadn't been cleaned, she allowed me to leave my bags there as I was early. Things went downhill from there! A warning notice stated that one must leave the bathroom door closed when showering, and the window of the room open afterwards due to sensitive smoke detectors. I complied, but when I tried to open the window, I found that not only did the surrounds have a thick coating of filth on them, it was impossible to keep the window open. It didn't lock and the surrounds had disintegrated to the point that daylight could be seen through the bottom. The balcony also looked as if it had never seen a cleaner! Just to add insult to injury, when I turned down the bed, it looked as if the sheet was stained. I quickly realized it wasn't the sheet, but the bloodstained mattress protector that was showing underneath....I nearly vomited!! Because it was Sunday, reception was closed, so I slept on the other side of the bed. Reception was also closed on Monday (a public holiday) and on checkout, my comments were met with indifference.
