Everything was perfect, except for not being assigned a room with a bay view. The hotel itself exceeded expectations. We had a pleasant stay with very friendly service, and I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't set on having a Darling Harbour view.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour. The service was warm, attentive, and always delivered with a smile, even the housekeeping team - which made our holiday even more enjoyable.
Waking up to the city views and proximity to a close harbour run every morning and seeing the city lights at night was such a treat. The bed was so comfortable that we looked forward to returning after a full day of exploring Sydney.
The location couldn’t have been better. We could easily walk to restaurants, shopping, attractions, and public transport, yet the hotel still felt like a peaceful retreat after a busy day.
The absolute highlight was the Saturday night fireworks over Darling Harbour. Watching the fireworks light up the harbour from the hotel was simply magical and became one of our favourite memories of the trip. If you’re staying over a Saturday, don’t miss it!
We also made good use of the infinity pool and gym, both of which were excellent and well maintained. It was the perfect way to relax and recharge.

This is my second time staying at the Sofitel Darling Harbour for my Sydney trip. I had a great experience two years ago, so I chose it again. The hotel is centrally located in Sydney, close to most attractions, and transportation is incredibly convenient. Highly recommend it to everyone!

The room was fantastic – spacious, with a super comfy bed and bedding. They even had welcome chocolates, which was a world apart from the Sofitel I stayed in later near the Opera House. You could see Darling Harbour right from the window when you pulled back the curtains.
Breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety. You do need to order eggs and hot drinks from the staff.
The hotel's location is good too; it's not far from the Fish Market, Opera House, and Chinatown.

Absolutely fantastic! Definitely book a room with lounge access. The lounge view is truly breathtaking. Book early, book early, the early bird price is incredibly attractive. The hygiene was also impeccable. On the evening of check-in, they even did an additional turndown service.

The surrounding area is really nice; Darling Harbour is right downstairs, and it's a quick walk to Chinatown.
