The Villa

I had the most wonderful visit at the Villa -- and I look forward to a return visit. Toni and Martin are gracious and friendly hosts who gave me lots of helpful information about what to see and where to go as well as restaurant recommendations. They made me feel comfortable and welcome from the moment I arrived and throughout my stay. My room was cozy with lovely bedding, a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Toni had time for a quick tour of some of the other rooms and they are also well-appointed and so inviting -- as are the dining and living rooms. Patios in different parts of the house have beautiful views and are great for outdoor eating and relaxation. The gardens are gorgeous. And Toni's homemade breakfasts are delicious and ample. Finally, the Stadium neighborhood is beautiful and within walking distance of Ruston Way, a lovely supermarket, shops and restaurants. I highly recommend a stay with Toni and Marin at the Villa Bed and Breakfast!

We stayed just one night, in the Amalfi, supposedly one of the most modest rooms but excellent. The bathroom was as big as some hotel rooms, sep. shower and clawfoot tub, thick robes hanging on door. The house is amazing; your host will give you a great tour of it, including all guest rooms that aren't currently occupied. Great lounging room on entrance floor, beautiful dining room that opens to an even lovelier garden room, where we had breakfast. Bkfst was a large fruit salad over cream, individual ramekin souffle, and a slice of avocado toast topped with a slice of tomato. Big oatmeal raisin cookie to split with spouse at meal's end, generous refills of coffee. The inn is surrounded by garden, lawns, but you park on the street of this residential neighborhood.

My husband and I were in Tacoma for 4 nights for a family reunion and wedding. The Sorrento Suite at the Villa was a perfect nest for us. It was roomy and cozy at the same time with a fireplace, couch, dining table and private balcony overlooking the Sound through the trees. Innkeepers Martin and Toni were a delight, and Toni's breakfasts were outstanding. The Villa is located in a very nice walkable neighborhood full of lovely restored homes. Plenty of parking. So much better than the corporate hotels we stayed in before in Tacoma! The Villa would be a wonderful venue for a wedding or other special occasion with its beautiful grounds and lovely interior.
