The room was nice with all the amenities, and initially, everything seemed perfect. However, once I settled into bed, I started hearing strange noises. I soon realized one of the noises was coming from the refrigerator. Since I had food in it, unplugging it wasn't an option. Adjusting the temperature helped reduce the noise, but it didn't eliminate it completely. Worse still, there was a persistent tapping sound over the bed, which I discovered was due to the service elevator located nearby. While the elevator itself wasn't particularly bothersome, the constant tapping noise was impossible to ignore. I called the front desk, and a staff member came to my room to investigate. He confirmed the noise and said he would report it. The front desk called back and explained that the tapping was indeed from the elevator. They mentioned that only suites were available (it would have been more honest to just say no other rooms were available) and that I would be charged if I moved rooms. They offered a noise machine, but for it to effectively muffle the sound, it had to be turned up so loud that it became another disturbance. A quick search of reviews revealed that this noise issue is well-known, especially in rooms ending in 7. Despite this being a known problem, the hotel failed to address it adequately. After another call to the front desk, they sent ear plugs, but being unaccustomed to them, they did little to help me sleep. The fact that this issue is longstanding and that the hotel had another room available but still refused to move me without charging extra was incredibly frustrating. I do not recommend staying in rooms ending in 7 at this hotel.
