Hotels Near Cultural Forest in Tahara

We visited on a family trip before Golden Week. It was our first hot spring trip with our 1.5 year old child, and all the staff were very nice, so we felt that this was an inn with wonderful people. We were very grateful that we could eat in a private room, and the female staff member who served dinner was very nice, and thank you for taking the time to look after our child despite being busy. The ocean view from the room was also great, and we were very satisfied overall, but we were a little disappointed that the water in the private bath was very hot, so our child couldn't get in, and that the washing area was separate (a private shower booth big enough for one person). This hotel provides all the basics you need. It’s close to Toyohashi station, it’s clean, and it seems well run with friendly-enough staff (difficult for me to judge as I was only there for one night). Of course, it’s not a luxury hotel so most things are simple, the breakfast has limited choice, and the rooms are a tad small, but overall I had no big complaints and it suited me fine. The one annoying thing was that they make you choose a 25-minute window in which to eat breakfast. They make you do this the day before. I guess it’s because space in their breakfast area is an issue, but it’s annoying because it doesn’t grant you any flexibility. If you want to sleep in, or go out early, it’s difficult because you have your specific breakfast window. Aside from that small grumble, I’d recommend this hotel to those who just want to be in the right location in Toyohashi, and are not after a 5-star experience. It’s probably not for families either.

The room was clean and the front desk was kind and polite, and there was a large bath, so it was good to take a bath slowly. The breakfast was very delicious and satisfactory. If you want to say that it's the best if the price is a little cheaper 😅
