Hotels with Bars in Taichung

Would like to highlight an issue we encountered with regards to our deposit and certain charges that were made to us but which we had not incurred. When we were checking out, we asked to have a look at our statement of charges as we understood that any additional charges would be offset by the deposit placed with the hotel. We had dinner at ”The Prime -Grill and Lounge” on one of the nights and just wanted to check if the charges were right. The statement showed 3 separate bills that were not incurred by us and were all purchases of alcohol, which we found strange. When we brought this up with the front desk, the staff did not seem surprised at all with the error or sought to verify the same anywhere nor were we given any apology for the mistake. It was as though she already knew that those 3 charges were unanauthorised transactions and said that the hotel would rectify the issue with the bank in respect of our deposit. The front desk was also very adamant to not let us speak to her manager about the issue. We just wanted to highlight the above because we would usually just trust the hotel to refund the right amount of deposit without checking, especially when using credit card to pay the same. But it may be worth checking when it comes to this hotel as based on the reaction which we got from the front desk, it seems that such mistakes whether intentional or not have happened before. We also hope that the hotel would do some sort of investigation into how issues like this could happen.

This time I booked a twin room. It’s pretty good that children can stay for free. There are many facilities, but I only used the sauna. It was very clean and there were not many people. I will stay again if I have the opportunity next time.

We are visiting Alishan, Sun-moon lake so make a stop at Taichung and we find this is a nice hotel and nice room and facilities are well equipt , we like hotel breadfast at the cafe which supply a bit variety of Asian food + American food too. It's a pity we only for a night , next trip I will plan to come back here for few days stay to explore Taitung.

The itinerary is for the children to compete in the nearby swimming pool. Considering the venue of the competition, the use time is not long, and it is close to Yizhong Street, the location is quite satisfactory. In the room, I am very satisfied with the part of the personal bed, and the sense of space is good. Since we are a family of four, we use a space for four people to live alone, so the placement and access of the lockers and the public space in the room are more casual. Comfortable, the mezzanine of the stairs to the upper bunk is also designed to place a space the size of a suitcase, making full use of every corner. The bathroom space is well maintained, and the temperature and volume of hot water are stable. The sound insulation effect is mediocre. Our house can be regarded as a good sleeper. In addition, we are very tired from activities during the day, and the neighbors are also good, so we can sleep soundly. When driving, you need to consider the problem of parking by yourself, other feelings are very good👌

Location is quite a distance from the city centre. Need to walk 10-15min to find local shops and eateries. Just across the hotel got a good-size supermarket. Bought local fruits for breakfast. No malls, night markets or shopping areas nearby. Room is spacious but rather old that needs upgrading. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but selection rather limited. No yogurt and limited selection of fruits. Overall a reasonable good stay.

Was given a bigger room but it has a funky smell. Requested to change a room but they denied until I had to give them a 2nd call right after they hang up. They asked someone to come over to check and upon acknowledging the weird smell in the toilet, they say just let the smell go away on it's own with freshener. I had to reject the housekeeper TWICE before they let me change another room which is much better. No smell and cleaner. They should've given this room from the start. Service is terrible but the location is just beside Fengjia Night Market which is a plus point. There is a bus stop just below the hotel that goes to Ruyi to get some snacks shopping done. Breakfast quality is bad but sufficient. No high expectation on the breakfast.

Great hotel. I was very disappointed that the swimming pool was closed when I arrived. They rented it for a party. I can imagine that happens, but communicate it when someone books! So, if you book because of the swimming pool, check if it is open. I also missed the facilities around the pool. Like a pool guy who receives you, towels etc. Stuff to make it once to go there. And, why do swimming pools close in Taiwan during the day?

Overall, the hotel is not bad, the bed is good for sleeping, clean, very comfortable for one night, the room type has a bathtub, you can take a bath to relax, the fly in the ointment is not very good sound insulation, please listen louder to the traffic on the street to.

Checked in multiple times Sound insulation is less than ideal This time I stayed on the 23rd floor and had a great view. The room is very comfortable. It is very cold at 20 degrees when you enter the room. After that, you can adjust the temperature to your own comfort. It would be more suitable if a USB socket is provided.

The room was very clean and bright The toilet is large and the off-white color is very comfortable ✅Breakfast is very rich ✅Beef soup is delicious But I still have gastroesophageal reflux No appetite The hotel has many adult facilities Sky bar view (but I forgot to go) The gym is not small either There are also yoga classes and aromatherapy spa But it would be a pity not to have parent-child friendliness
