"The front desk staff member was very detailed in their explanation and highly efficient, getting us checked in quickly. The hotel room was quite tidy and spotless. The hotel has a unique design; from the outside, it looks like a concrete building, but once you step inside, it has a distinct charm. The atrium design provides space for plants to grow. Concrete, wood, and plants are integrated perfectly, allowing you to experience a 'ruined' aesthetic even in modern times. The warm yellow lighting, however, gives you a sense of security, creating a vibe like a post-apocalyptic shelter. Afterward, we ordered a cocktail from the hotel before 10:00 PM. It was quite strong, and we slept very well after drinking it. The location is near the train station, within walking distance. There are also the Hanzixi / Yizhong Night Market nearby, making it quite well-connected. It's about 10 kilometers from the High-Speed Rail station, accessible by bus."

"When we checked in which was rather late ,was smooth but there is only one elevator and you have to wait for quite sometime. The room is spacious, there were shampoo and body wash but no tooth brush. Breakfast provided was quite good, although not those elaborate type. And they do changed some of the dishes for the 4nights I stayed. Gym was small, there is a laundry at B1 for only 20twn, dryer 20twn. They do provide some biscuits too at the lobby with drinks。"

However, what I love is that, this is a conveniently located near Miyahara, which is a pick up place for group tours. Their walls are quite thin and you can often hear people coming back or when they’re too loud. Overall, for the price, it’s really good!"

"We chose this boutique hotel because it seemed affordable and suitable for singing and celebrating, since the platform offered karaoke. However, things didn't go as planned; we weren't logged in through the platform. Upon check-in, when we confirmed with the staff, they said the price wasn't for a karaoke room and we were assigned a standard business room instead. Although they confirmed on the spot that it wasn't our problem, but rather a problem with the platform or the hotel, they didn't address the issue or offer any compensation. This is unacceptable service. We have no choice but to leave a negative review on the platform. Be careful, everyone!"
Golden Tulip Zhong Xin Hotel Taichung
"The breakfast was absolutely terrible. Not only was it served in shifts, but by 9-10 AM, there was barely anything left. They charged an extra $200 for a 7-year-old child, for which absolutely nothing was provided. While the service staff were nice, my overall impression of the restaurant was extremely poor. I even heard they sell meal vouchers but often run out of items, especially for lunch. The main issue is that the chefs are dreadful; they use incredibly cheap ingredients, and the food is practically inedible. The only redeeming quality, if any, was that the swimming pool was decent and included a sauna. They market this place as a family-friendly hotel, but that's a complete deception. A few small stools and a coloring book hardly qualify it as such. Don't fall for their claims! The property comprises two buildings spread over two floors: a main building and the 'Pingzhen Building,' which was reportedly an acquisition."

The front desk service was friendly. Highly recommended."

"This room had an inner window, and I feel guests should be informed beforehand. When I asked about it, they just said, 'Most of our rooms have inner windows.' So, I understand now that rooms booked through Ctrip only get inner windows? The key thing is, it wasn't even cheap. It felt just like a windowless room, very claustrophobic. Other than that, nothing special, neither good nor bad. Definitely not worth the price. The dessert shop next to the hotel was pretty good though."

"This was my first time in Taichung, and I booked the Wenhsin Hotel Fengjia. The hotel is conveniently located in a lively area but still quiet. It's only about a 5-minute walk to Fengjia Night Market, and there's a FamilyMart convenience store right across the street, which is super convenient. Furthermore, the hotel room was spacious, and the two extra-large double beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and there was a large bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after returning to the hotel in the evening. I highly recommend this hotel!"
