Palmer Hotel ★★★
"Positive Feedback I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and responsive to our needs. The location was convenient, and the amenities provided made our stay enjoyable. I would gladly recommend this hotel to others. 🥹😘"
La Vida Hotel ★★★★
"Convenient location, near Feng Jia night market (5-10min walk). The only downside - parking is challenging."
Chance Hotel ★★★
"I chose this hotel because it is a two-minute walk from Taichung station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, including the famous ice cream place Miyahara. The laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers. I chose a windowless room, it was a great size for one person, and I couldn't hear my neighbours."
Twinstar Hotel ★★★
"It really close to train station and convenience store. But the place really old and dusty not recommended to stay if your allergy on dust."
Norway Forest Travel hotel 1 Taichung ★★★
"The location is fantastic and very convenient for transport. I do wish the front desk staff could provide a bit more explanation and service. While SOPs are important for workflows, a little extra clarification would make the experience feel warmer. Thank you."
In Joy Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel location is nice. Just the receptionist is not served very well. She is in a hurry mode."
Bravo Hotel ★★★
"Luckily I got a beautiful room with window view, also, overall is clean, great location and feel safe as nearby police station, would recommend."
Norway Forest Travel hotel 3 Taichung ★★★
"The breakfast was great! The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and attentive, always ready to answer any questions. There's also a massage chair in the lobby, perfect for unwinding after a long day of traveling. Highly recommend!"
Nagahiro Hotel- Taichung Wenxin ★★★
"I didn't have high expectations after booking this hotel, but I absolutely loved it when I arrived! The room was beautiful and spacious. I'll definitely only stay here when I come to Taichung in the future. Plus, it has a bathtub! 😍😍 The price is also very reasonable. Although the lobby on the first floor is a bit simple, it didn't affect my stay at all."

Icloud Luxury Resort & Hotel
"The moment I stepped into the room, I was hit by an overwhelming cigarette smell. I called the front desk to complain, but they informed me they were fully booked and couldn't offer a room change. Their only solution was to send someone to 'deal' with the smell by spraying air freshener. The smell was simply unbearable. I called again, offering to pay extra for a different room, and only then did they finally arrange one for us. While the new room was indeed smoke-free, the air conditioning was completely ineffective the entire night!!!!!! To make matters worse, when I tried to use the spa jets in the bathtub, a bunch of small bugs came out! 🙄🙄 I will absolutely not be returning to this place."
Golden Tulip Zhong Xin Hotel Taichung
"Before booking, I checked reviews and specifically chose the newer Zhaoyin Building. While the room was quite spacious and offered direct access to the rooftop pool and spa facilities, overall, it felt a bit dated. The carpet clearly had a lot of dust, and I wouldn't let my child walk barefoot on it. The worst part was the air conditioning, which was an issue in the room, the play area, and the restaurant. On the first night, the AC in our room inexplicably turned off. Everyone woke up hot, and even after turning it back on, it remained stifling. After reporting it on the second day, someone came to adjust it, but then it became freezing cold 😭. Getting to the breakfast restaurant required walking outdoors to the Pinzhen Building, which wasn't very convenient. On our third morning, there was a tour group, and the hotel didn't seem to manage their dining times, resulting in us, independent travelers, being seated in a deeper section. The air conditioning there wasn't turned on beforehand. Although they switched it on immediately when we were seated, by the time it gradually cooled down, we had already finished breakfast, sweating the whole time. The small play area on the first floor of the restaurant also had no air conditioning whatsoever; my child was practically boiling while playing there. The only redeeming features were the decent swimming pool and spa. My child had a great time, but the changing rooms were too small, with only two for men and two for women. The external part had simple, short curtains, which didn't provide enough privacy, making it difficult for mothers with children to shower together. I hope they can improve this!"
Voga motel
"The room was exactly as pictured. We used to stay in motels with the kids, but this time we booked a hotel room, and it really showed that you get what you pay for 😂. When in Taichung, the 'Motel Capital,' it's still more comfortable to stay in a motel – they offer more space and you can even enjoy a bath 🛁."

Taichung Harbor Hotel
"It’s out near the coastal area. The complimentary shuttle service makes it easy for our visit. Good gym equipment and sauna facilities."
Fullon Hotel Lihpao Resort
"The breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious, and it was close to the theme park outlet. The spa water was a little dirty; it would be nice if it could be cleaner."
Evergreen Laurel Hotel (Taichung)
Set conveniently along the major Taiwan Boulevard, this classic upscale lodging stands out for its comprehensive family-friendly recreational facilities and highly reputable international dining options.
Hoya Resort Hotel Wuling
"We took a relaxing trip to celebrate my parents' golden wedding anniversary. We checked in at 3 PM and went to the hot springs shortly after. Around 6 or 7 PM, we got hungry, and there was a decent buffet. Even though there were many tour groups, the food selection wasn't huge, but it was replenished quickly and the dishes were fresh. After lunch, we took a short walk, and then there was a wonderful concert at 8:30 PM. This time it was the Sirius Harmonica Ensemble. It was my first time hearing multi-part harmonica music, and their witty introduction was really great. The hour went by quickly, and the grand finale was a stargazing performance. Although the clouds were thick, the moon was still shining, and with the help of the Star Walk 2 app, we didn't get back to our room until 11 PM. The next day, breakfast at 7 AM was also satisfying. We went for a walk in the nearby campsite, but unfortunately, the ginkgo and maple trees were still green. We saw cherry salmon, swans, and enjoyed some shaved ice before heading back down the mountain, completely satisfied. There wasn't much traffic this time, so going up and down the mountain was smooth, thanks to the good weather. The hotel was great, and my parents and I were very happy."
THE METRO HOTEL TAICHUNG
"This is our first time to make an accommodation in this hotel for my family trip with my granddaughter. We came there earlier before 16:00 in Jan 2, 2026. I asked an earlier checking around 14:40 but the girl who seated in the front desk said there system is not working yet and request me to wait in the lobby. In Jan 2, 2026, the weather of Taichung is not so well, windy all the day. I have to asked Trip Agent to coordinate this earlier check in for me but it took me around 50 minutes to get permission for earlier check in after received a phone call from Trip. This is first impression. I request one more blanket for my granddaughter, the receptionist said it was charged but I never noted this when I made my reservation. It looks this hotel will charge most when you have extra demand. It is Ok but I never see a list price for this kind of extra service. One more strage thing, I need to book my breakfast schedule. It using a time frame for different customer because the room inner space is not big enough. We have to seat in the outside close space without air-condintioned area. It is pretty chilly outside. Furthermore, this is not dinning ware for children to have at all. Very strange management. The room facilities is out one date as well. The toilet waste is very simple and floor carpet is dirty also. The comforter cover does not tie up and The comforter is very easily fall out of cover in the midnight and make sleep quality poor."
Elence Hotel
"Located near the train station and just a 10-minute walk to Lalaport. The overall cleanliness was excellent, breakfast was included, and the staff provided great service. Given the affordable price, it's a highly recommended choice."
Ohotel
"The pineapple served for breakfast looks like it has been stored for three days. The hotel said it was renovated in 2024, but there are still many mouldy and damaged places."
PHOENIX HOTEL TAICHUNG
"The room was quite spacious, but there was no desk, only a very narrow counter. The hotel doesn't provide slippers, so be aware of that. The worst part was the terrible soundproofing; I couldn't sleep at all because of the loud noise whenever the next-door room used water. The front desk helps with services like calling a taxi, but the kids' play area on the ninth floor charges an extra fee. I wouldn't really recommend this hotel."
