"Overall, the hotel is good and service from the staff is great too. Breakfast Hotel has a good spread and enjoyed the food there. Hotel is well located near the Fengjia Night Market and you can go there in 3 min but is not very near the city centre and you may need to take a bus or walk there. ."

"When we checked in which was rather late ,was smooth but there is only one elevator and you have to wait for quite sometime. The room is spacious, there were shampoo and body wash but no tooth brush. Breakfast provided was quite good, although not those elaborate type. And they do changed some of the dishes for the 4nights I stayed. Gym was small, there is a laundry at B1 for only 20twn, dryer 20twn. They do provide some biscuits too at the lobby with drinks。"

"Stayed here for a short trip to Taitung and really appreciated the location—it’s close to the train station, which made getting around very easy. The room was clean and cozy, though a bit small, so better suited for travellers with small luggages . Breakfast was good, with quite a few individual set options to pick from.. Overall, a convenient and comfortable choice if you want quick access to transport and a nice start to your day."

"The Palmer Hotel is within 5 minutes walk from the Taichung Railway Station.  The remodeled room’s design is nice, pleasant, and functional.  The bed sheet, towels, and drapery are clean. The air confining works well with a cold personal fridge! The room service staff is friendly with good work. The breakfast serves different dishes everyday and they were tasty varieties! I consider the CP value (cost and price) is very high! It is highly recommended for the budget solo travelers!"

"We particularly appreciated the hotel’s location, very convenient and easily accessible from the train station, which makes getting around the city easy. The breakfast is of good quality and meets the group’s standards, offering a decent variety to start the day. The bedding also meets usual IHG expectations: very comfortable and restful, although the room is a bit noisy. However, there were some disappointing aspects. We had booked a room with an atrium view, but it turned out to be a shopping area open late and brightly lit 24/7. Information on this was insufficient, and we had to keep the curtains closed at all times to maintain some privacy. In addition, the room furniture is clearly outdated and does not match the quality level expected from an IHG property, which was quite disappointing. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel remains attractive thanks to its location, comfortable bedding, and quality breakfast, offering good value for money for a stay in Taichung."

"I love the whole vibe of the hotel where it give off this rustic industrial look but the interior of the room is really nice. Front desk was super accommodating when we wanted to upgrade our room but the initial upgraded room was not to our liking and they kindly suggested another room for us to have a look first before we decide on it. we were able to check in an hour earlier as well and was able to keep our luggage at the front desk after check out and return back later to collect. overall an amazing experience with SOF hotel and would definitely come back to stay when im in taichung again"

"Transportation: Located within Zhonghua Road Night Market, it's quite close to the train station and walkable. However, the surrounding environment is very poor; a high-end hotel built there feels out of place. Service: As a birthday guest, I received two complimentary cocktail vouchers to use at the bar on the first floor. The service was excellent. They require a 2,000 NTD deposit, and if you pay in cash, check-out refunds might take longer. You can store your luggage, and if you need ice, you can get an ice bucket from the 1F bar. Facilities: Bath towels, bathrobes, and indoor slippers are provided. The slippers had a slight odor, which was strange, but the floor was very clean. The bathroom is spacious, with a bathtub and hairdryer, conditioner, shampoo, body wash, and hand soap. Two bottles of mineral water, a small Coke, and small snacks were also included. The rooftop gym is tiny, and there are chairs on the roof – you *might* be able to see the night view on a good day, but the surrounding scenery is messy and unkempt. Breakfast: Served from 07:00 to 10:00. It's not large but has everything you'd need. The pork floss tasted a bit odd. There are made-to-order Danzai noodles and omelets. The hot penne pasta and chicken drumsticks were quite tasty, but the food wasn't hot. This stay was in a 'Super Value Light Luxury Room' with two beds for 3231 NTD."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from Taichung Railway Station. Miyahara Eye Hospital is also nearby. There's a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, though the night market is a bit of a walk, about 30 minutes. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and you can rent a scooter directly across the street, making it super convenient to get around."

"Very beautiful hotel. Staff were courteous. There is a KFC next to the hotel and a family mart nearby. Outside the hotel ,you can bus no.5 to taichung station. Overall I am very satified with my stay there."

"The interior design is so stylish! From the reception, the steampunk-like industrial theme really created an exciting atmosphere. The room was luxurious, complete with a Nespresso machine, tea, and even welcome snacks. Although the staff mentioned they weren't fluent in Japanese, they were incredibly helpful, even showing me the bus stop for Guguan Hot Springs on Google Maps for the next morning. Speaking of helpfulness, that night I had trouble connecting to Trip.com and chatted with their operator; the hotel's Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver. I even walked to and from Chun Shui Tang's original store, but during hot weather, a taxi might be a better idea. The taxi driver on the way there told me the sandwiches next door were delicious (turns out it's a famous spot!). The location is fantastic, and the breakfast across the intersection was absolutely delicious. After just one night, I felt completely refreshed and walked back to Taichung Station."
