Guest UserAn absolutely wonderful family stay! When traveling with kids, cleanliness is my top priority, and the rooms at Mulan were spotless. The bedding was clean and comfortable, which really put my mind at ease. The staff were so friendly and always greeted us warmly when we came and went. The spacious room and unique view were a novelty for the kids, and our whole family had a fantastic time. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Taichung!

Vincent TaoThis is our second stay at a Tango hotel in Taiwan. Overall, it was still a good experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, the room environment was nice, and the breakfast selection was decent. However, there's room for improvement in terms of cleanliness details. There were some hairs left in the bathtub area, and noticeable water stains on the mirror. Other than that, everything else was impeccable. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Taichung.

Everything was great except for the slight noise insulation issue. The environment was very comfortable and the bed was nice to sleep on, but the shower pressure was a bit weak. However, the separate wet and dry area design in the bathroom was excellent.

Anonymous UserLocation - I’m not sure if we just missed out on what’s nearby. But we did walk on the sides, we were searching around of what’s there to see. We didn’t see much, like we realized after walking for a few minutes that we just found the convenient store which is kinda far if that was the nearest available (or again, there could be one the other side we don’t know haha).
So after walking around, and realizing there’s nothing much to see. We already booked an Uber going to the night market.
It wasn’t that far from the HSR Station. I couldn’t remember the exact distance and travel time. But if I find it far I’d normally remember it and say it.
Service - it was an easy check-in and check-out. Though, I almost forgot to get a receipt. Had to proactively ask for one. Luckily we decided to stay for a bit after checking out, we remembered it and got to request for it.
I like how they already asked upon checking in if we need a room cleaning service. That was convenient.
The breakfast was so so (on my personal taste bud). Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that bad.
I love the room the most! We were happy about how spacious it is. And it has an AI box which we loved. The bathtub has a tv, the shower area was spacious, the ambience of the room, hallways and lobby. The free snacks. The brand of the body wash and conditioner. The free Nescafe machine in the lobby.
I’d definitely recommend it and I’d stay here again.
(Though I still have a pending concern that I have to figure out myself, cause the amount showing in the invoice was different from the amount showing on tha app. Haven’t checked how much was the final amount taken out on my card)
The late check out costs Ntd$1,000/hour

Anonymous UserThe hotel itself is decent and comfortable enough for the price. The location looks convenient at first glance, but in practice it’s not as accessible as it seems. The biggest plus is that it’s very close to a large hypermarket — great for grabbing supplies or meals easily.
It works well for solo travelers looking for a simple, practical place to stay. If you’re traveling in a group, just note that transport options nearby may be limited — it’s highly recommended to book your car or transport in advance to avoid hassle.
A solid, budget-friendly pick with one major convenience; just plan ahead if you’re moving as a group.

Our family always makes it a habit to find a hotel near Fengjia Night Market when we visit, and we've been doing it for years. This was our first time staying at this particular hotel, and we booked a quad room. The room was incredibly spacious, and parking was convenient. Since we checked in on a Saturday, we could have reserved the shuttle bus to Fengjia for 30 NTD per person. However, we decided to challenge ourselves to walk there and back. It was a bit of a trek, about 10-15 minutes one way, which was a little far but not unbearable. The breakfast was a buffet, and I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and vegetable juice machine – that was super fun! Overall, I'd definitely consider staying here again. The only downside was... by the time we wanted a late-night snack, we were already too full from the night market food, so we just went downstairs for a bubble tea and headed back to the room!

The front desk staff's quality and service attitude have greatly improved since my last stay a few years ago. I hope they can maintain this excellent standard.
Regarding the facilities: they are a bit old-fashioned. The wardrobe is particularly outdated and difficult to use, and it even poses a safety risk. Specifically, old sliding door wardrobes can be quite dangerous; I've personally had a heavy sliding door fall on me before, which was terrifying. I really hope they can upgrade the wardrobes.
Another issue is the complete lack of hooks in the bathroom. This is quite absurd; there's nowhere to hang clothes while showering, which is a very impractical design. I hope they can address this.
Despite these points, overall, Zhongke Hotel shows a genuine effort in its operation and remains a good choice for accommodation.

Kimchi2630I recently spent two nights at The Metro Hotel (豪爵大飯店台中館) in Taichung, and overall, it was a very practical, comfortable, and well-situated experience. Located right on Wuquan Road in the West District, this 3.5-star property strikes an excellent balance between affordability and convenience. If you are looking for a reliable base to explore the city, here is a detailed breakdown of my stay.
The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and featured a nice view of the surrounding city. The bed was on the firmer side but very supportive, providing a great night's sleep after long days of walking. A major highlight for me was the climate control. I absolutely need a cool sleeping environment and always set the thermostat to 21°C; thankfully, the room’s air conditioning was powerful and maintained that crisp, chilly temperature perfectly throughout both nights.
There are two minor caveats to the room:
• Electrical Outlets: There are very few power outlets available. If you have multiple devices to charge (phone, laptop, power banks), I highly recommend bringing a small travel extension cord.
• Soundproofing: While the room itself was peaceful, the door soundproofing is a bit lacking. You can occasionally hear other guests in the hallway or neighboring doors closing.
The hotel provides all the essential basics without overcomplicating things. The bathroom was roomy with great water pressure and came stocked with standard toiletries. A huge plus for travelers is the self-service laundry room located on the 5th floor.
The front desk staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful with luggage storage. It is worth noting that they strictly enforce their 4:00 PM check-in time—you generally cannot get into your room a minute earlier—but they do offer a generous 12:00 PM check-out, allowing for a relaxed morning.

Great location for traveling!
Rooms are spacious.
Only recommendation - please respond to messages sent through the chat. I asked about parking a the AI responder responded that there was no parking available. However, there is a parking lot in front of the hotel, although it is private parking the hotel still provides a ticket for free parking.
Since I didn’t get a proper response, I had to make other arrangements for parking and only saw the parking when we travelled there by MRT.

TommydiConveniently located near Taiwan Boulevard, making bus travel very accessible. The hotel room was equipped with a wardrobe, refrigerator, and TV, along with both heating and air conditioning. The environment was very clean and hygienic, and the view from the window was open and pleasant. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.
