Great hotel location! The environment is clean, tidy, and comfortable! The bed is also very comfy! The bathtub is large and perfect for two people to soak in! Breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, and the staff are incredibly friendly! Highly recommended!

Guest UserThe front desk staff were polite but a little cold, though there were no issues with their service. The location is excellent, just a three-minute walk from Taichung Station, and there are plenty of convenient dining options nearby. The room facilities were all in working order, and while the room itself was on the smaller side, it offered great value for money. It's perfect for travelers who just need a place to rest and briefly stay.

Everything was great except for the slight noise insulation issue. The environment was very comfortable and the bed was nice to sleep on, but the shower pressure was a bit weak. However, the separate wet and dry area design in the bathroom was excellent.

The room was spacious, with a separate wet and dry bathroom and a refrigerator. Each floor had its own water dispenser, and the sixth floor offered a free kids' play area, a gym, and a sparkling water machine. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel also provided a free contracted parking lot, and there's a shopping street outside the hotel for convenient resupply.

We enjoyed our stay at ICloud Luxury Resort& Hotel. The room is spacious and clean. The best part is the spa bath tub. Although the tv in the front of spa bath tub didn’t work but we can watch the TV in the bedroom.
The buffet style breakfast is included in the booking and there are so many options. They even have a juicer for making your own juice!
They have plenty of parking spaces in the basement and also two electric car charging station. As of the food options around, there’s a family mart right next to the hotel. Fengchia Night Market is 20 minutes walk away.

Anonymous UserThe hotel’s location was ideal — within walking distance to the train station and close to several bus stops, which made getting around easy and convenient. The staff were courteous and very helpful, always ready to assist whenever we needed something. The only drawback was the air conditioning, which wasn’t quite cold enough, though they promptly provided extra fans upon request. Breakfast was complimentary — simple but decent. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay with warm service and a great location.

I recently spent two nights at The Metro Hotel (豪爵大飯店台中館) in Taichung, and overall, it was a very practical, comfortable, and well-situated experience. Located right on Wuquan Road in the West District, this 3.5-star property strikes an excellent balance between affordability and convenience. If you are looking for a reliable base to explore the city, here is a detailed breakdown of my stay.
The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and featured a nice view of the surrounding city. The bed was on the firmer side but very supportive, providing a great night's sleep after long days of walking. A major highlight for me was the climate control. I absolutely need a cool sleeping environment and always set the thermostat to 21°C; thankfully, the room’s air conditioning was powerful and maintained that crisp, chilly temperature perfectly throughout both nights.
There are two minor caveats to the room:
• Electrical Outlets: There are very few power outlets available. If you have multiple devices to charge (phone, laptop, power banks), I highly recommend bringing a small travel extension cord.
• Soundproofing: While the room itself was peaceful, the door soundproofing is a bit lacking. You can occasionally hear other guests in the hallway or neighboring doors closing.
The hotel provides all the essential basics without overcomplicating things. The bathroom was roomy with great water pressure and came stocked with standard toiletries. A huge plus for travelers is the self-service laundry room located on the 5th floor.
The front desk staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful with luggage storage. It is worth noting that they strictly enforce their 4:00 PM check-in time—you generally cannot get into your room a minute earlier—but they do offer a generous 12:00 PM check-out, allowing for a relaxed morning.

Before the ***** New Year, we took a trip to Taichung and stayed at a hotel near Feng Chia Night Market. The location is excellent, right at the entrance of the night market and opposite the university's main gate. Everything else was fine, but they charged an extra NT$180 for our 8-year-old for breakfast. We went down at 10:10 AM and there was almost nothing left, so our child ended up just having half a bowl of braised pork rice. That was really expensive! There's a whole row of breakfast places downstairs, so if you're staying here, definitely don't include breakfast. It's not worth it at all; you're better off trying local breakfast spots or the student-favorite queues. Another point is the lack of parking. They sent us to a contracted parking lot two blocks away, and we still had to pay an additional NT$160 per car. That's really inconvenient and not cost-effective. Other than these issues, everything else was okay. The lobby is on the 12th floor, check-out requires going up, and breakfast is also on the 12th floor, while the rooms are below the 12th floor. This arrangement was fine, I guess.

Assistance is barely available. I stayed there 5 nights and went in and out of the hotel multiple times everyday but I only saw the receptionist at the front desk once when I checked in. I called a few times the front desk from my room but it is answered also only once. I eventually complained to the receptionist when she eventually showed up knowing I’m furious at the lobby. Upon communication, I got to know that one single receptionist is responsible for assisting the entire hotel having roughly 100 rooms while serving the reception role. How stingy the management can be?! Overloading a frontline staff with frontline communication and room services?!
This is especially frustrating when I need help to fix the WiFi as a business traveller staying in a business hotel. The WiFi is instable and dropped off twice within half an hour on 2 days, which is a disaster for my real-time work. The receptionist did try her best to spend 45 mins to help, which I appreciate, but the hotel needs a better router and/or network provider. Eventually I used my own internet data instead. How pricy!
The plug can’t charge my phone. Overnight, the battery goes from 7% to only 40%. The mat has a lot of stain on it. It doesn’t smell but looks unpleasant.
