5-Star Hotels in Taichung

I wrote in my initial booking that this was an Anniversary trip, I was quite surprised that the hotel did not do nor acknowledge such things and that quite bothered me. First impressions do lasts and I also had an incident in their restaurant that serves buffet, where there was a insect (almost cockroach like) in the soup which was honestly very shocking for a 5 star restaurant but the recovery of how they handled was not great and no follow up was done. Overall, I wasn’t as happy staying here as I thought I would. But I won’t definitely be coming back.

Upon check-in, when asked the reason for our stay, I casually mentioned we were celebrating our 100th day together. They genuinely took note and arranged related services. The sense of privacy and exclusive hospitality was exceptional, truly living up to the reputation of Japan's top Hoshino Resorts group. I particularly loved the design of the entire garden and the relaxation pavilions by the pool, as well as the hot springs. Whether it was the expansive window views from the room, the scenery from the private onsen, the women's public bath, or the dining area, every single spot, with its flowers, plants, and water birds, was meticulously designed. Both dinner and breakfast were also thoughtfully prepared and presented using local ingredients. Our 2-day, 1-night stay left us feeling incredibly touched and joyful, both physically and mentally. It felt like we were taken care of in every possible way. Every moment was filled with deep appreciation. I highly recommend staying here.

I think I got a free upgrade to executive level. From a queen to king sized bed!!! Cleanliness good, service good, public transport nearby good, atmosphere good. I love everything about my stay, no complains at all! I am definitely going back to this hotel again next time!!!!

Pretty average for the price compared to what we paid in other ********* cities. Room smelt a bit and it felt dirty not having slippers to wear on the carpet which didn’t look clean. Bathroom was good. Few room amenities but the main reason people come is for the breakfast I think. It has a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. Quality isn’t amazing but you should find something you like. The staff at the breakfast place aren’t very friendly but I guess they running a tight ship with so many people. Breakfast also runs to 1pm which is good. 2 hr limit but you can check out at 11am and the go eat.

Great for family trip. The service of room was satisfying and quite fast. As soon as we enter our room in third floor, we noticed the size of slippers provided was too large. To our surprise, they took care of the problem almost immediately. I will give the service five star. As for the swimming pool, the quality of water is also good enough for children in 6-12 age group. BTW, thanks for the swimming pool service people. They gave us medication for mosquito biting in emergency. Surely recommended for family trip destination.

We booked a one-night stay in a SPA-themed room with two double beds. We checked into the hotel at 7:35 PM on July 24th. Upon entering the room, we discovered the toilet wasn't flushing and there was no cold water in the private hot spring bathroom. We immediately notified the front desk, and hotel staff promptly came to fix it. They explained it might have been due to a water supply issue. Since the hot spring bathroom only had scalding hot water and no cold, it was impossible to take a bath. After urgent repairs, both hot and cold water were restored around 11:15 PM. However, by midnight, the toilet started leaking non-stop (it was still leaking when we checked out). Upon waking up in the morning, we were very concerned about a potential electrical hazard. Paying such a high price for a hotel with so many faulty facilities was truly not worth it. After checking out, the hotel offered us a pudding as an apology. However, this experience was utterly unsatisfactory, leaving a very poor impression of the hotel's facilities and overall quality. We definitely won't be returning.

The clubhouse is located in the Zhengguguan hot spring area, near many hiking trails, easy to choose. Before bathing or staying, you can come to exercise, after walking the trail and then bathing will be more comfortable. There is no parking lot in the clubhouse itself, only on both sides of the road. However, the operator will first occupy the roadside location, first to not seem to be able to stop first, but basically no problem parking. The hot spring pool is a pool made of gravel, which is less likely to slip but the cleanliness is more remarkable. This time, because there were few travelers staying, breakfast was changed to a restaurant on the first floor. Although it is also buffet style, the dishes are obviously much less, and without the top floor favorite dining beauty, a little disappointed.
