2-Star Hotels in Taichung

Located in the middle of a night market, and right on a main street, it's a convenient location with easy access to taxis. The hotel is in a multi-purpose building, and the signs outside are mainly in Chinese, so it might be a little difficult to find. The building's appearance might be a bit surprising, but the rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean, with a separate toilet and shower. We stayed in a twin room, which was larger than expected. The beds were further apart than in a typical twin room, providing a sense of privacy even for two people (though, since I was staying with a close friend, the distance actually made us feel a little lonely, haha). There are no slippers provided, but you can purchase disposable slippers for 10 yuan at the front desk. There's a spacious common area behind the front desk with a refrigerator and a kitchenette. It gets plenty of sunlight, so it would be nice to bring in drinks to enjoy there.

Stayed here for another three nights this time. I'm a returning guest, having stayed a few times before, and honestly, I'm too lazy to explore other options. The bunk beds in the room are sturdy, the air conditioning is powerful, and the privacy is excellent. The locker is quite large and comes with a key. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong, and there's a balcony where you can hang towels. The reception and common area are very spacious, offering a simple breakfast, an honesty shop, and coin-operated washing machines. Do note that the front desk service is not 24/7. Since the staff are usually busy with their work, if you're looking for more social interaction, you might have to take the initiative to strike up a conversation yourself. There's a rooftop available for use, but it doesn't seem like many people use it.

A bit far from mrt. It's a very hip hotel. Love the open area at highest floor. Love that every floor has water dispenser. Love that the room is spacious. But shower area damn weird. Is glass panel with black curtains. Arrived ard midnight cos flight delay, bus delay. Receptionist kept engaging with me to know my whereabouts so that they can pass the room card to me personally. But since I was arriving after their working hours, they left it in a convenient place for me to receive. Very thoughtful. Very thankful for free instant noodles cos I was so hungry. But... it's far from mrt so be prepared to walk a distance.

1. **Location** It's about a 10-minute walk from Taichung TRA Station. On the way to the hotel, you'll find Miyahara and the Fourth Credit Union, which are convenient stops. I heard the night market is a bit far, but I didn't go this time, so I'm not sure. 2. **Facilities** I stayed in a single room, and it was decent enough. The bedding was clean and nice, and the mattress was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and I was able to use the refrigerator. The bathroom was small, but understandable considering it's for one person. Also, there's a washing machine on each floor. You can get one laundry detergent capsule for 20 NT at the front desk on the first floor. It says you need to pay 40 NT for the washing machine, but if you put in 10 NT, it gives you 20 minutes. I only had a day's worth of laundry, so it took about 40 minutes, making 20 NT seem like the right amount. 3. **Breakfast** When checking in, they'll ask about breakfast. You just choose one option and a time. The next morning, when you go down at the chosen time, it'll be ready, and they'll give you your selected menu item and a banana. For drinks, I saw coffee, milk tea, etc. 4. **Other** The staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. Also, there's a pharmaceutical museum on the first basement floor that's good for a quick look. The price was a bit higher because it was the weekend, but I'd like to stay here again on a weekday for a more affordable rate.

Big push! Many comments said that there is no clerk to assist and can't find anyone, but when I go to check in, the clerk will come out to assist at once. The spare parts cost is very reasonable. The room toilet is clean. The TV is super big. It is very cool to watch movies. The hotel can park the locomotive and a few cars. There is also a row of roadside parking spaces on the road. The most comfortable one I have ever lived in

The room so clean, tidy, quiet. They also provide detergent to wash the clothes. I enjoy my stay during trip to Taichung in Su Taichung. The location is very close to The Fourth Union Credit (most popular ice cream store) and 10 min by walking to Miyahara the must go beautifull desert shop!

This is an older business hotel, so the soundproofing isn't great, and there's a hallway right outside the window 😂. However, the service is professional, and it's very clean. For this price point, it's already excellent, and I'd be willing to stay here again.

What I liked: the room looks exactly like the picture, friendly staff, AC, hot water shower with good pressure, mini fridge, great Internet, comfy bed, water dispenser, free coffee/tea/hot chocolate dispenser, good soundproofing, great location, quiet. What I didn't like: dirty walls with stains, mold in the bathroom, musty smell in the room. Also, the carpet in the hallways is in serious need of vacuuming.

Overall, I had a good experience staying at this hotel. The location is convenient, the room was clean, and the service was friendly. For the price, it’s definitely reasonable, and I’d be happy to come back again if I visit Taichung in the future. The only downside was the water temperature in the bathroom — it was quite hard to adjust, and tended to be a little too hot. It would be great if that could be improved for a more comfortable stay.

The room is very big! Even though it’s in the community! It’s also very close to Fengjia Night Market! The environment is very quiet! It’s good! I will choose this one again next time! Because the price is very reasonable!
