3-Star Hotels in Taichung

The staff were friendly, and the room was a pleasant surprise – clean, stylish, and spacious. The bathroom and toilet were separate, with a bathtub for soaking, and there was even an outdoor balcony with some plants, which was fantastic. The soundproofing wasn't the best, as there's a night market downstairs. The freshly squeezed juice was delicious. The hotel is a bit far from the train station, about a 20-minute walk. Since I was staying for three consecutive nights, I had to become a member to avoid checking out daily, which I found a bit odd and deducted a few points for. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Taichung.

This hotel is the top choice for comfort, cleanliness, safety, and convenience. It's located right by the Green River, just a 5-minute walk from Taichung Railway Station, so meals are never an issue with plenty of dining options within walking distance. The room was clean, and the bed was a firm spring mattress (the kind that doesn't sag). The hot water was plentiful and very hot, and there was no water accumulation. Next to the front desk, there's a coffee machine and various coffee and tea bags, along with a 24-hour supply of water at three different temperatures. The rooftop has free washing machines and a dryer (NT$10 for 20 minutes). The hotel offers free parking at a partner lot, just a 5-minute walk away. It's incredibly convenient and comfortable for travelers. Highly recommended!

We booked a 2 Double room bed and love how amazed of this scent and most importantly the area is full of famous coffee house and one of the Michelin Restaurant is just foot away . Definitely recommended to others who love and enjoy the peace and away from the crowd

The room is as described and shown on the pictures. I gave a 4 for cleanliness as on first night, I found hairs on the bed & a hole on the bath towel. I reported to the staff via LINE (in Taiwan they use mainly LINE to communicate). They quickly took action and offered to change the bedsheets and clean the room. As I stayed for a week, they scheduled a housekeeping on day 4 of my stay. The soundproofing is not the best but if needed earplugs are provided in the room. It was the winter in Taiwan when I was there so having a hot shower is important and the hot water is available. I like that there is water dispenser at each room level, rubbish and recycling bins are located outside so it is convenient. The location of the inn is about 15 minutes walk from the Taichung Train Station. If you are carrying large luggage, advise to take a Uber. It is near to 一中街 (yizhong street) where you can find many shops, food, etc. From the inn, cutting through the open space carpark, you will be at the shopping area. As a female solo traveller, at the start I was a bit concerned of the location of the inn. The entrance to the inn is in a alley, next to a bistro bar. You need the access card to enter the inn so that is find, just make sure it is lock after you enter. The front desk only operates from 11 am - 10:30 pm. There is an emergency hotline number to call for afterhour service. Using LINE to communicate with them is easy. There's a cafe next to the inn where you can have breakfast with discount by showing your room card. If you want to travel to places, there are many buses. If not, it is easy to get Uber. For first time traveller to Taichung, he/she will not be aware that toilet paper cannot be thrown into the toilet bowl, so it is good to have a sign to show that. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. For the price, it is value for money.

Overall, it's a great hotel. The facilities, staff, cleanliness, and convenience are all excellent. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I visit Taichung. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. However, there were a couple of things I wasn't happy about: (1) The hotel has self-service laundry, but I only found out when I got to the laundry room that it's only open from 9 AM to 10 PM daily (who wants to spend their prime travel time doing laundry in the hotel?). And at 9 AM, you have to call someone to open the door, and there's no air conditioning in the waiting area... Wouldn't it be more normal to have the laundry room on a non-guest room floor? (2) If there are no personal items on the towels placed on the chairs, it's generally fine to remove them. But I had placed clothes on the towel, and the towel was still taken, which I found really puzzling.

The first day we arrived there was a city cleaning and so there were so many cockroaches on the first floor but the staff was trying to clean it and it's not their fault. The rooms are very spacious and nice. Breakfast also included and very delicious. (The fries are the besttttt) Tho you have to walk a bit to another hotel, the aunty there is really nice! They no longer provide you plastic amenities but i guess that's for every hotel in Taiwan. Overall a really nice place to stay!

Our stay was incredibly comfortable. I had requested a specific room type, and to my delight, we were able to check in to it on the first day. We were also told we could switch to a room with a bathtub the next day, which was fantastic service. The moment we walked in, there was a lovely fragrance. Since we stayed for three consecutive nights, the room was cleaned impeccably each day. All in all, I highly recommend this as an overnight option for everyone!

Facilities: The room wasn't huge, but it had everything I needed. The bathroom was very spacious with both a shower and a bathtub 🛁, which was great. Service: Excellent! Every staff member was wonderful, especially Rich, who was incredibly attentive and made me feel very well looked after. Cleanliness: Good. Environment: The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but it was decent, and they had my favorite, salad.

A 5mins walk away from Taichung train station. Location wise is very convenient everything is within the area. The complementary breakfast is also good. Room is quite small but overall cleanliness is really good.

This is a recently renovated hotel with a historical feel. It boasts a spacious on-site surface parking lot. In its heyday, this hotel must have been quite a prominent establishment locally. For visitors from out of town or overseas, please don't judge this hotel by 5-star standards; after all, its pricing offers excellent value for money. Now, for my review: The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel's cleanliness is satisfactory (though the bathroom door was a bit worn). The location is also decent, being close to Fifth Market, which is a fantastic spot for delicious local food. Finally, I hope this hotel continues to improve.
