"Overall was okay as a stay for hotel, maybe for gym equipment, lacking weights and more variety of equipment to use. Hotel beds and everything else is more or less comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast is average overall, not fantastic but still good to eat if you don’t plan to travel out in the morning for food. Convenient to travel from hotel to other destinations."

Room facilities are basic, but the bed is comfortable and plenty of hot water for a relaxing shower. However the showerhead was difficult to position and the tub is small so water sprayed everywhere on the floor.
Free water bottles are provided.
There could be more hooks installed for hanging clothes or personal toiletries.
The bedsheets/pillowcases were discolored but not sure if this is related to hygiene or just the bedsheet style/color. They felt clean and didn’t find any weird objects except for some hairs on the pillowcases (the staff helped us replace them)."

"It is a very nice hotel with great location. The hotel is located at around 10mins on taxi from the train station (25min walk). There is a tiny night market and a cinema nearby.
The classic room has a very strange shape and is very small, so I won’t recommend for anyone.
The service was great where the staff are polite and helpful. The hotel also offers bike lending service for free for up to 3hrs. This is very helpful for me exploring the city in a short period of time.
One big issue I found is the sound proof is very poor. I was able to hear noise very clearly from people walking /talking outside my room."

"During the May Day holiday, hotels in Taichung were quite expensive. The overall environment was very quiet, and guests in the common areas were considerate and didn't disturb each other. However, for some reason, there was a strange smell as soon as I entered the room, which felt like a ventilation issue. It got a bit better after turning on the air conditioning for about half an hour, but the room still felt a little damp. It's very close to Miyahara Eye Clinic, and the surrounding area is nice for a quick stroll."

"I've stayed at this hotel several times now, and it's generally decent. However, this time, the first room I got had a bit of a musty smell (courtyard rooms aren't very airy, though they are quieter). After I brought it up, the front desk switched my room. I've always loved their braised pork rice for breakfast, but it wasn't available this time. Luckily, I discovered their incredibly delicious sweet potatoes and century egg and lean pork congee."

"The first day we arrived there was a city cleaning and so there were so many cockroaches on the first floor but the staff was trying to clean it and it's not their fault. The rooms are very spacious and nice. Breakfast also included and very delicious. (The fries are the besttttt) Tho you have to walk a bit to another hotel, the aunty there is really nice! They no longer provide you plastic amenities but i guess that's for every hotel in Taiwan. Overall a really nice place to stay!"

"This time I brought my wife to Taichung for her birthday, and we stayed at the Norway Forest Cultural Center for the first night. We arrived early to drop off our luggage and immediately experienced the friendly and polite service, which made me feel happy and warm. Although there was a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room when we checked in that evening, the front desk manager came up and helped us switch to a larger and more comfortable room. Their service attitude was also super nice. It's no wonder this hotel has reviews above 9 – it's absolutely deserved. If I have the chance to come again, it will definitely be my first choice! 🥰"

The laundry room was cosy with a great system to keep track of who is using the machines by writing your room no. & name on the whiteboard. This way, the staff can place uncollected laundry by your door so others can use it. The hotel was situated on the street with great food & walking distance to all the attractions on the Taichung City map."

Have lived N Fifth Avenue. The location is very good. The room is not bad. Cleaning is very clean. But sometimes the service counter staff is very good ～ sometimes it has a shit face. But still flaws

Advantages: It is easy to get down from the interchange and dogs can be brought. I stayed in a deluxe room, the bed was comfortable, and the bathing area was super large, larger than the room area. There are large bathtubs, steam rooms, and shower beds.
Disadvantages: I want heating but it has no practical function. It was still 20 degrees overnight. There is no dressing table. You have to stand up to blow the hair dryer on the sink. It is inconvenient to stay overnight. It is okay to rest for a few hours.

Jeanette C.It was my first time visiting to Taiwan with family and friends. We had a very pleasant stay for 5 nights. The location is convenient for getting around, which made our trip much more enjoyable. The room amenities were well-equipped and met all my needs, making the stay comfortable and satisfying.
One small suggestion would be to provide a few more hangers in the room, as it would be helpful for longer stays.
Special thanks to the staff, Mr. Li (Lee). Whenever he was in charge of front desk, he was extremely helpful throughout our stay and always ready to assist with any requests. We truly appreciate his efforts in making our experience even more pleasant.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely consider staying here again.
