Ss_530Wonderful experience to staying in the important architecture. The site is originally owned the De Saram bros. and given to the Bawa trust then became an accommodation for public. The building is renovated by Geoffrey Bawa, so it’s must visit for architects and designers. The building is in good condition, it’s not for luxury but for indifferent experience. The master staff is really nice and knowledgeable, he kindly showed me other rooms! I had a pleasant and precious experience here. Note: wifi and hot water is really good. Breakfast is international style. (non Sri Lankan) The main entrance is really deep from the street, you just ring the bell of the huge black gate.

The first thing I want to mention is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They are always ready to assist with anything you need, and the reception is open 24/7, which makes you feel safe and comfortable at any time.
Another big highlight is the bistro located on the top floor. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the food is genuinely delicious. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and everything we tried was really tasty.
The hostel itself looks stylish, clean, and well-maintained. The interior design is modern and cozy, and overall it feels more like a proper hotel than a typical hostel.
I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again!

DDrCraqOne of the more affordable hotels, but for me a very good one in a great location. The staff was very friendly—truly exceptionally nice. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the breakfast was very good. There was nothing to complain about, and I would definitely come back.
Especially worth mentioning are the manager, who personally takes care of guests and explains the important things in the room, and the “breakfast chef,” who even opened breakfast earlier than scheduled while I was waiting. Thank you—I really felt well taken care of as a guest.

SSana KThe hotel is clean and 15 minutes to the train station. But the SERVICE here is the worst. My room was opposite the restaurant. In the restaurant they sing every day until the morning. I felt like I was at a concert in the front row. The noise of drums and electric guitar did not let me sleep. I called the reception, they said they would call me, but they didn’t it.The next day, after check out. They didn’t apologize and didn’t even say goodbye. Cause they didn’t care, since my reservation had already ended. I really regretted staying there. It does not even pull 3 stars

HHussain NafizI recently stayed at Anarva Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with beautiful decor that added to the relaxing atmosphere. The amenities, especially the spa and pool area, were top-notch, providing the perfect place to unwind.
The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. I also have to mention the dining experience—delicious food with a great variety of local and international options. Every meal was a treat!
Overall, Anarva Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

D with non alcoholic freshly made juice for my self and my littlest extremely accomodating at such a late hour breakfast was a buffet setup with. Oth Western European and traditional Sri Lanka cuisines and we still pretty much could order anything anyway - my daughter wanted western style eggs fried sunny side up on toast cracked them right there in front of here the view was incredible from our room you could hear the ocean crash against the rocks only wish we could have stayed longer really good people place service was exceptional- you. E nice they be nice easy peasy xox
