"Best hostel ever! This is the 'wow' hostel I ever stayed. The location is very near to Taichung Station (even I can see it from the lounge! great view btw feel like in high end hotel) and several bus stops. The interior is very clean, unique, homey, and made me reconsider to just stay at the hostel instead exploring the city! The dorm itself is not in classic bunk bed style but you got standard bed so no more climbing to the top or hear squeak from above bed. Restroom? clean and smells good. The lounge its spacious and kitchen utensil is very completed. I highly recommend this hostel for you stay in Taichung"

"This was my 3rd time staying here. Very near to railway station & foodcourt nearby. Room is clean but quite small & limited space if you have larger luggage. However, the breakfast is delicious & it's healthier choice during our stay this round. The service staff is very polite & courteous at all time. The reception staff even have the record which I stayed before. There is also a waiting area with seats & table for guests with relaxing music being played. A small area for younger kids too. A good choice for hotel accommodation if you plan to visit Taichung."

"I stayed here many years ago. When my friends visited Taiwan from abroad, we booked this hotel because it's incredibly close to Fengjia Night Market – literally a hundred meters downstairs and you're in! So, convenience was the main draw. The environment is also pretty good. The rooms are small, tiny even! But that doesn't detract from the overall experience."

"This could easily be the best backpack rooms I have ever stayed in. Bed is comfy with adequate personal space. There is a desk at the end of the bed, I could write my journal in my own space. There even is a huge wardrobe for u to put ur luggage and clothes. Toilet in the room is clean and photogenic. Breakfast is small but with enough varieties. Staff is very nice. Location is perfect. Recommend 100/100"

"Room is same as advertised. Clean and bright room. B1 has a common area for resting and eating with full kitchen facilities provided. Just clean up after use. There is also a small aroma essential oil section. Level 2 is backpacker rooms. There is a 24hrs coin laundry just next door. Walking distance to Fengjia night market. We have a nice room upgrade for us which is nice! Not forgetting the friendly staff."

"The price is very favorable, there is parking, the public area is clean, and the shower room is well-equipped, comparable to a hotel. There are only a few things I want to complain about: 1. The door soundproofing is really poor 2. There are mosquitoes 3. Youth hostels often have student travelers who chat and take showers in the middle of the night, which affects the sleep of others"

"Extremely near the Taichung train station where I alighted. Walked down the escalator and walk straight towards the side of the taxi and look out for blue logo of Loosha hostel on one of the buildings on the right and you can reach there by less than 3mins. Go to the reception at 5 floor on the inner lift, once you check in and got the access card, you can take the 2 lifts in front . Awesome buffet breakfast with coffee starts at 8am and simple bread and jams if you’re in a rush at 7am. Very clean kitchen and toilets as there are many staffs helping to clean and mainly the people staying there do their parts to make sure of a clean environment too. Proximity to 7-11 and lots of Indonesian food and other food stall and Gancheng station where the bus will take you to Sun Moon Lake. Awesome hostel with great eco friendly experience."

"I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Stray Birds Taichung Hostel! This is hands down one of the best hostels I've ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the modern, clean, and stylish atmosphere . The location is perfect – it's within walking distance of the Park Lane by CMP shopping area, the Calligraphy Greenway, and the National Museum of Natural Science . There are tons of great restaurants, cafes, and even a 7-11 and Starbucks right across the street, which was super convenient . The hostel itself is spotlessly clean . The beds are incredibly comfortable and more spacious than your typical hostel bunk, with good privacy . The shared bathrooms and showers were always kept clean, and I loved that they had that separate dry/wet separation . A huge highlight is the common area and the rooftop terrace . The lounge is spacious, bright, and a great place to relax, work on a laptop, or meet other travelers . The rooftop offers a nice chill-out spot with a view of the city . The staff were friendly, helpful, and created a really welcoming vibe throughout the hostel . They even offer a simple breakfast of toast and jam in the morning, which is a nice touch . If you're looking for a clean, modern, and social hostel in a prime Taichung location, look no further. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to any traveler!"

"The room was clean, the service was okay, and the bed, pillows, and bathroom were acceptable. The location is not as central as I expected and is still a bit far from the train station, so it’s not very convenient if you’re traveling with luggage. We ended up taking a taxi."
