There is all day coffee makers, water dispensary and light biscuits at the front desk. room is spacious and clean. only cautious is the door may not lock when you close to go out. I did not notice until I returned in the evening and the staff quickly came to rectify. seems that some problem with my card. it was replaced and the door is able to self lock again.

My boyfriend who lives with me also likes the breakfast dishes. Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung is considered a five-star hotel with a high CP value in Taiwan. Although the building and equipment have a sense of age, they feel that they have been carefully maintained. I will visit again next time I come to Taichung!

If you happen to encounter a car coming out when parking, it is recommended to go around and come back to park, otherwise the road is too small and it will easily affect the traffic.

Cleanliness is excellent, but one area that needs improvement is the air conditioning—it wasn't quite cool enough during my stay. A lot of convenience store nearby and two vegetarian shops located near the hotel the other one just at a corridor beside the hotel. Amenities: give some tea and coffee. Water heater provides. Hair dryer provided. Towels provided. Some self service can take from counter one time use shaver, toothbrush and toothpaste, indoor shoes. I booked this hotel as it stated that there are parking lots. When I came to check in, staff only said that there were not available and directed me to the near by parking where I have to pay fee. Staff who are at the counter check in were not so friendly, unlike the staff who are at the breakfast entrance and in front of the elevator area, they were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and we got the view where we can see the main train station.

The hotel itself is very old and some parts definitely need to be refurbished and refurnished. I had issues with the door lock, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helped me fix my issue. The hotel has all necessities I needed as a solo traveler, but you definitely won’t get any luxury here. For short stays and budget, this hotel may be good, because of its incredible location in the city. In just a few minutes you are at the train station. Next to the hotel are 2 convenience stores. The hotel scores in its really friendly staff and its strategic location. However the building and the room is very old, the bed takes time getting used to and definitely needs an overall upgrade!
