Hotels near Keelung River in Taipei

The location was excellent and plenty of food and malls nearby within walking distance. Hotel looks very new and modern so in this area, the hotel was excellent. However, a few issues cropped up. 1. I had arrival earlier in the morning (7am+) due to an early flight. I am a frequent traveller for the last 20 years and have never encounter a hotel that doesn't allow me to check-in 1st. I can understand I was early and thus would not be able to be given a room card so early. But I was told specifically by the concierge that I cannot go to the front desk and do the check-in procedure 1st. As in the morning, they only allowed for check out procedure. This really blew my mind. Why would a hotel expect everyone to only check in at 2.30pm if it could reduce the check in crowd? I was happy to understand that I could only get my room after 2.30pm. But not allowing me to do check in procedure 1st is just weird. 2. The room given to me was a smaller room than all other rooms on the floor of 19. First room on the right from the lifts. Not like the one I had booked with the pictures. There was no power socket anywhere near the bed. Neither left or right of the bed. First time ever! Charging my phone meant running my own power extension to outside the toilet door. Very unfriendly for business travelers as there was no proper desk with power socket. Power socket was also not universal, so do bring your converters. I come to Taiwan very often but was quite disappointed with the above. Other than the above, my stay was great.

The room is nice, the management is good, the soundproofing is OK, I can sleep till dawn The room I stayed in had a bar, which was nice. There is hot water supply in the shop. The selection of breakfast the next day was okay The hotel provides free parking spaces and the drive-thru gate is smooth.

Good location for a hotel with train station nearby and malls within walking distance. Drawback is the king bed was made up of 2 single beds. And basin is outside of the toilet and bathroom. Spacious room as well.

Very conveniently located within short walking distance to Jiufen Old Street. Parking is available next to the property and there is a valet to help with parking our vehicle. Room size was sufficient for 2 adults. The only issue is there is no lift, which unfortunately the room I booked was on level 4 so had to carry heavy luggages up 3 levels. Nonetheless, room was very comfortable and clean. Very nicely-presented breakfast included, with unlimited supply of coffee and tea during stay, and water dispenser was just outside the room.

The hotel is very clean and modern. The service is very good. The view is also nice. There have a service onsen on the 17th floor which is very convenient and clean. The location is a little bit far from the Metro take about 10 min to walk but they also have a bus stop in front of the hotel

Extremely cute BnB. Like other reviews, its quite a distance walk from the Jiufen Old Street. Alight at Jiufen police station and walk down. Owner was nice and friendly who gave us a couple of recommendation around the area. Hot water readily available too! Will return!

Great stay. Very new. Helpful staff. Free parking. Felt like it was better than Grand Hyatt at a better price point. We ended up liking it so much we stayed there for 2wks! Perfect location too, next to very large mall with lots of food and indoor playground for kid.

Chengyi Cultural Hotel, which sells itself on young people, has a coffee and snack shop with a fee next to the reception hall on the first floor. It is quite business-savvy, but there is no discount for hotel guests. The room is not small, but the design of the sink right next to the bed is quite special, giving the illusion of sleeping in the bathroom. There is a desk and a small dining table in the room, which is very considerate. The bed is made of two extra large single beds put together, so it is very big. This time I checked in on a weekday. I chose this hotel in order to have a parking space. However, I still didn’t know that there was no convenient parking space. In addition, the parking lot provided by cultural tourism was very far away. It took 10 minutes to walk. The service staff didn’t explain it clearly. I didn’t feel it was the best. Very good. There are many convenience supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area but they are not busy. The above is for your reference.

Seeing the sunset scenery is so beautiful and satisfying. There are also many parent-child amusement facilities, and they are already decorated for Christmas, great! The pretty lady at the front desk took the initiative to send me a postcard this morning, thank you! The performer in the cafe also nodded to me before leaving, which felt very warm! Breakfast is also very good! Comfortable walking at night! Thank you for hospitality!

I kept coming back to this place because it feels like it’s the 1970s and I’m working on my first novel after a terrible divorce. I’m certainly not the first to recognize the melancholy inherent in the transience of life, but when’s it’s raining and cold as it has been the last few days, it takes no poetry to recognize the feeling from this Taipei view.
