Fukuchi Onsen has a feeling of loneliness that is just right in the mountains of Okuhida Onsen. I stayed in a room with a daybed, so I was able to relax and read a book after taking a bath. The small items placed here and there were also cute and good accents. It may depend on how crowded the hot springs are, but for the size of the ryokan, there are enough indoor baths, open-air baths, and private baths, and the quality of the springs is different, so you can enjoy it many times. The fact that there were more bath towels than the number of people available showed that they wanted everyone to enjoy the hot springs. The food is not so elaborate, but it matches the atmosphere of the ryokan and is typical of this region. Other than that, there are places where you can wander around if you feel like you have a little free time, such as the garden and rooms with high-end sound equipment, so I think you can spend two or three nights without getting bored if you just want to relax. The season may be limited, but in early July, fireflies were flying around the garden, and the starry sky was beautiful from the terrace, so I was able to enjoy the night when I tend to have nothing to do. I didn't have any trouble with the unevenness caused by the customer service, as it was within the range of the taste of a ryokan of this scale. As it is a small inn, there are some areas where the owner's taste is clearly reflected, and the impression may change depending on whether it fits or not, but the tone of the interior and stance is set, and the inn is well-balanced.
