At breakfast, the waiter who led us to the wrong seat, so after we sat down, we had to stand up again to let him sit, which was a bit embarrassing."

Our experience was of a clean environment with Japanese breakfast and a coffee machine, plus a drinks fridge with honesty box. Futon beds on the floor. I suspect not ideal for disabled. Shared open bathrooms with separate M/F toilets. Little English spoken. Bit of a walk to the restaurants, but on the flat. 15 mins. Morning riverside market is good and nearby. Wouldn’t suggest a long stay in this town, but nice to walk around."

"Hotels in Takayama are usually quite expensive on weekends. I booked this one last minute and was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, very clean, and tidy. You can enjoy a hot spring bath on the top floor, and there are even family pools. It's really refreshing to have a popsicle after a soak. On the first floor, there are free iced drinks and a selection of manga to read. The only downside is the lack of dining options nearby, but everything else was great."

"First of all, I want to praise the hotel's service. The hotel is at the entrance of Fudi Hot Spring H41 Station. After the snow accumulates in winter, the geographical location is very convenient, and there is no need to push luggage in the snow. Since the H41 station Nongfei bus stops every 2 hours, the hotel also provides pick-up and drop-off services from H45 Fudi Hot Spring Station. When I arrived at the hotel, because I was wearing very thick snow boots, the female general knelt down to help me take off my shoes. I was really flattered. The hotel staff's English is not very good, but the female general will still try her best to explain the hotel facilities to us with a smile, and we can feel their enthusiasm. There is welcome rice wine at the entrance to drive away the cold. There is a row of ducklings made by Chinese tourists at the entrance, which the hotel has kept. It is worth mentioning that the two public hot springs outside the hotel are 100% source springs, which is also the main reason why I chose the hotel."

"The location is difficult to find, so you must drive there, and it is recommended to arrive before dark, otherwise the visibility is not good at night and the road is very narrow, which is really scary. After entering the house, I saw a message from the owner on the table saying that there was an outbreak of stink bugs this year. They had tried various methods but still couldn't deal with it, so they attached pesticides in the living room for tenants to use. Just as soon as I entered the door, one parked directly on the bed. The smell of the entire room due to the spray of pesticides made me feel uncomfortable, and stink bugs kept appearing and I couldn't sleep at all🥲 I touched a lot of hair while soaking in the hot spring💧 The photos when booking the room look new and neat, but the reality is much different... I would also like to thank the host for the kind reception."

"This hotel is super close to Takayama Station. You just turn right when you exit the station and look up to see it. The hotel charges a hot spring bath fee and a hotel accommodation tax, regardless of whether you use the baths or not. There's a self-service coffee machine on the 2nd floor, and we stayed on the 8th floor, which had an ice machine. The 9th floor has private hot springs, which require reservations. Right off the elevator on the 9th floor, there's a foot bath area, and this floor also has an ice machine and a drink vending machine. Takayama town only has one FamilyMart convenience store, and it's right across from the station. Personally, I think Maruaki is tastier than Ajikura Tengoku 😋"

When we arrived we were told to enter by the main entrance (actually we saw a side door) but was blocked by a group of (I think ) Canadians of a tour group undergoing briefing. After waiting for sometime, we managed to find a way to snake to the reception, only to realise if we have came by the side door, we would have avoided the group."
