くじゅう連山登山の前泊で利用。 長者原登山口まで車で50分と決して近いとは言えないが信号がほとんどない（2箇所だったかな）のでストレスなし。 建物は田畑の中の一軒家ながら趣のある佇まい。母屋と離れ、そして浴室が廊下で繋がっており食事は母屋で。 特筆すべきは料理で全てが美味しかった。 地鶏のたたき、粉チーズをまぶしたサラダ、茄子の味噌田楽、カレイのチャンジャ風はいずれも美味しくついついメモしてしまった。また天ぷら（イカ、エビ、鶏、さつまいも、茄子など）はコロモのつき具合よく素材の旨みがしっかりしていた。また地鶏鍋の出汁は最高でわさびを少し和えるとさらに美味しくいただけた。味は個人差があるものの私的には絶品であった。 朝食は早出の為、残念ながら食べられなかったがおにぎりを準備していただいた。 離れに泊まったので朝早く出発するのも気兼ねなく出発できた。 田舎の親戚宅にでも泊まったような感覚で、機会があれば是非リピートしたい宿でした。

Room and futons were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and plenty of food. The onsen was nice to have indoors and outdoors. Owner was very nice. Very easy to find the location.

A lovely, peaceful, very traditional Japanese experience.Hosts were charming, polite & very helpful.Japanese breakfast was tasty ,with a variety of foods.Enjoyed an onsen each day after some long hikes in Aso & Kuju mountains. Advice if you stay in the trad Japanese rooms, the futons are thin & can be too hard if not used to this type of bed. They do have western style rooms too with comfy beds.We stayed in both types of room. We found Google translate useful to clarify information.

民宿城山の三船温泉を立ち寄り湯でおじゃましました。入浴料は市外者４００円で券売機で購入し奥の浴室へ。浴室内湯は石で囲まれた岩風呂風で湯口から温泉が多量に注入されていました。４１度ほどの薄いウグイス色のきれいな色の源泉かけ流しの新鮮なとても気持ち良い湯でした。外には露天風呂があり内湯より少しぬるめでゆっくり浸かれました。良質な極上の温泉にとても満足しました。
