Flugel Kuju

"This is a memo from three years ago, but it's about my trip to "Flügel Kuju" in Kuju Highlands, Oita Prefecture. It's a villa with all rooms in separate cottages spread across a vast property. Each room has a private open-air bath, and there's a hammock on the wooden deck. The feeling of being in the middle of nature and experiencing something out of the ordinary is quite something. The open view of the location is outstanding, so it's not a bad choice if you're going on a special day and aiming for a day that's guaranteed to be sunny. This time, I've excerpted some of the breakfast and dinner courses. The fish dish had a visually interesting presentation with the sauce being whipped. The roasted meat was also carefully cooked and simply delicious. However, to be honest, considering the rather high price of the accommodation, the food lacked impact. When considering the overall cost performance, I'd say it's a bit questionable. Also, the most puzzling thing was the dining environment. Although we were shown to a private room, the door remained open throughout the meal for some reason. It might have been for the convenience of staff serving and ensuring smooth movement, but I couldn't help but wonder in my head what the point of a private room is... (laughs) Various credit cards are accepted for payment. The clientele consists mostly of mature couples, families, and other well-established individuals. "I went there through a reservation made through Trip. The indoor bath and the open-air bath were very nice. The woman at the reception was kind and had a warm, pleasant smile. However, Trip said that the check-out time was 12 o'clock, but when I actually checked in at the hotel, I was told that check-out was 10 o'clock, which was disappointing."
