All of the staff are super nice people and the location is great EXCEPT ....for the loud bar next door. The skate park and weekly market are right next door and neither was an issue at all but the bar music was a bit annoying due to the volume. The hotel provides a noise machine to cancel it out so was not a huge problem and certainly no reason to pass over staying here! We really liked this place for it location to all the restaurants and markets and would certainly stay here again. We referred to it as our little oasis in the middle of town!

Great location. 3 min walk down to the beach and walkable to all major restaurants and bars. It was nice being able to cool off in the pool after a full day at the beach. There is a grocery store that is literally across the street so if you need anything you can walk over grab some food or even some beers for when you are lounging around the pool. Small quaint hotel where you will be able to meet lots of people from all over the world.

A pousada é uma gracinha com a área da piscina rodeada de plantas. Disponível para os hospedes agua filtrada e gelo a vontade. A hospitalidade nos faz sentir em casa. Cafe da manhã bem típico preparado na hora pelos funcionários, todos muito simpatizantes. Quarto confortável. Perfeito para ferias na praia que fica a 5min caminhando.

This was our first time and Costa Rica and I was very happy with the hotel and its location. It was myself and my 16 year old son, we were very comfortable in a room and felt safe. The staff was awesome and had great recommendations for you. I would for sure stay there again.

I have to say I really fell in love with this quaint little hotel! While it is not your regular famous hotel chain, I found it so accommodating, relaxing and just a feel good vibe to it. The amenities were simple and lovely. The towels, bedspreads and sheets s of like they are regularly updated. The pool was very clean as were the rooms. Breakfast is available and while si saw that it looked really good, I was glad I didn’t reserve as I was able to explore other great cafes that are so close by. The location is awesome!

There are some lovely things about Ten North. The staff is very helpful and kind. It’s tucked away from the hubbub of the downtown even though it’s a 5-minute walk away and we felt safe. The AC works consistently (thank goodness, bc afternoons are hot!) and the showers are warm. The bed is serviceably comfortable. The pool is cool (although quite small). It’s a budget-friendly hotel for sure though. The queen rooms are tiny - not even enough room for a chair. The toilet paper is institutional. The bathroom had ants. But the real downside for us was the paper-thin walls and doors. We could hear the conversations of our neighbors. And mornings, we were awakened by the bird chorus in the park next door (a skate park, but there were trees), whose concert started at 4:15 am. We could fall back asleep after that, but the staff started cooking breakfast and doing pool maintenance at 6:30 and people started eating soon after. Loud conversations and crying babies - they sounded like they were in our room. I think we’ll splurge for less of a budget hotel next time.
