"Great Stay at Mar Bontanico! Mar Bontanico It is a perfect little hotel on the beach, combining comfort, convenience, and charm. Nestled walk distant from the beach and perfectly located, this cosy hotel offers easy access to local attractions and hidden gems. The apartment where I stayed was spacious, featuring two full bathrooms and two large beds in separate areas—a wonderfully convenient setup. Everything was immaculately clean and beautifully designed, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, always ready with great advice on the best places to visit, dine, or even take surfing lessons with top instructors. Their recommendations made exploring the surroundings even more special. One of the highlights is the delightful French cafeteria at the bottom of the hotel—perfect for starting the day with fresh pastries and aromatic coffee. For those looking to enjoy authentic local flavors, there’s a small food market right next door, lined with inviting restaurants serving delicious regional dishes. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a quiet retreat, Mar Bontanico offers the best of both worlds. Its tranquil ambiance, thoughtful touches, and prime location make it an ideal place to stay. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!"

The Beach Bungalows Tamarindo- Adults Only

"The perfect oasis in the middle of Tamarindo. Lovely space; the bungalows surrounding the pool are so pretty and efficient and quiet. The covered space with the hammocks and clothes line are great to hang all the wet beach stuff and hang out in during the heat of the day. Pool is perfect! Slightly chilled to cool you off. Nico and Leti and crew are the best hosts. Delicous breakfast daily and use of the kitchen/fridge during your stay. LOVED every minute."

House of Nomad - Adults Only

"During our stay at Nomad Containers in Tamarindo (unit 102, April 2026), we encountered a cockroach infestation within the unit, including in the kitchen area under the sink. When we reported the issue, staff acknowledged that this had been an ongoing problem requiring fumigation, and the owner confirmed that a similar issue had already been identified approximately one week prior to our arrival. Despite this prior knowledge, the unit was still being rented without clear confirmation that the infestation had been resolved. We decided to leave early due to these conditions. What was particularly disappointing was the response: instead of addressing the issue constructively, the owner disputed the validity of our report. For travellers, especially those concerned with hygiene standards, this is an important consideration. At a minimum, one would expect full remediation and verification before re-letting a unit with a known pest issue."
