Sirena Serena B&B Retreat

Stayed here for a week during a womem’s yoga retreat. What a perfect place to be “home” for the week! Our hostess went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, everything was clean and comfortable, and easy walking distance to the beach. I especially enjoyed quiet mornings on the deck enjoying the many birds that flew into the garden. Great food, lovely people. Would recommend for any group or family.

“WOW WOW WOW !!! My favorite cista rican rental experience ever . The house is huge for a big group but super affordable. Fun , funky and rustic vibe with an outdoor kitchen that was so fun to cook in . The host went so far and above that I felt like a Karen LOL ;) . She helped us with EVERYTHING ( stocking the house with groceries, booking excursions) . There is golf kart rental right across the street ! Tons of great restaurants that are walking distance too . I would stay here again anytime and I have shared the link with many family and friends !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

I have to say that I am so grateful for the people at Sirena Serena and in particular Jesslyn. They went way above the call of duty to help me and are genuinely kind, thoughtful people that will go the extra mile to make their guests/surfers happy. In my extreme case they quite literally saved my vacaction. I stayed at the the SIrena Serena-- which on its own was fantastic and would highly recommend. In our case it was a group of 10 people celebrating a 30th birthday. Clean, great shared space, convenient location. Everything we wanted. We had an amazing time-- surfing and enjoy the beautiful city of Tamarindo. We were there for a week and on the last day we left for Monteverde. BUT.... I left my laptop at the airbnb and found myself hours from the town with only a day until my flight left the country. This is where Jesslyn went above being just a good host and showed how she is truly an incredible human being. She contacted a local tour guide, arranged a drop off, delivered my laptop, and quite literally saved my vacation. I could not recommend Jesslyn and this whole group of people anymore and would 10/10 recommend the airbnb, the surfing, and the human beings behind Sirena Serena/Kelly's Surf Shop!

My group was booked at Sirena Serena to celebrate my 40th birthday, but due to unforseen circumstances we had to unfortunately cancel. Jess was extremely understanding of the situation and I can't say enough about how responsive and great she was. We had been planning this trip for a while now and every question I had was answered very quickly. I am just sorry that we weren't able to make it there this summer, but I have no hesitations to booking her retreat in the future. Thank you again Jess, for all of your help and your understanding.

The best compliment you can give is I would definitely stay there again! My only issue, and it was minor, was finding the place in the dark and getting in. Now that I am familiar with Tamarindo, it's no problem. Sharpen the directions to get there and get in and it's perfect. The place is extremely private and we loved the "L-shaped, motel room layout". The living space is outdoors with a very cool private pool and fully equipped covered outdoor kitchen! The knives need to be sharpened, but that's just a pet peeve of mine. Jess set-up and coordinated two days of fishing for us with Coyote Fishing Charters and Cpt Frank was unbelievable! We brought fresh Tuna and Mahi-Mahi back to the house and had fresh Tuna sashimi and Mahi ceviche and fish steaks at the rental. Great rental! Jess was great and would recommend Serena Sirena.

The minute you walk onto the property, you feel the serenity. We were staying at the hotel as part of a yoga retreat. The staff and owners were always kind, courteous and accommodating. The place is very clean. All the rooms are well appointed and charming. Food was included as part of the retreat and it was all delicious. Each meal better than the last. I plan on going back again next year. What a beautiful place!

A tropical, serene, cozy community setup. Sirena Serena facilitated the much needed escape from the stresses of the outside world at the yoga retreat I attended there in November. The environment and vibe was perfectly suited for the experience, the meals were truly decadent, the owners and staff incredibly accommodating. A short walk to the restaurants, shopping and beach–you have the best of both worlds. While yoga was the draw, we took the opportunity to take a surf lesson from Sebastian, one of the owners of Kelly’s Surf shop/Sirena Serena. It was an amazing experience, from the calming breath work on the beach before we set out, to the suburb instruction that resulted in me popping up from my second try. Highly recommended and have just booked for this coming November.

It's clean, well decorated, and looks just like the pictures. It's your own oasis, and it feels very private. The rooms are really functional, and it's great they're set up with different bed arrangements, so it really accommodates a group well. We had 9 people here at Sirena Serena. We could have COMFORTABLY had an additional 5 people. Even more without much of an issue. It's very private and totally secure. The beds are also relatively new and comfortable. Jess and Sebastian are great. They respond quickly to any questions, and they know the local area really well as they live very close by. They're always helpful with booking restaurants, tours, and other things you may need during your stay. They also run Kelly's Surf Shop where you can book tours, excursions, etc. The walk to the beach takes about 12-15 minutes, but that also puts you at the center of Tamarindo which is a great place to land as there are lots of shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. The walk can be dusty, as the road isn't paved. But it's close enough to make this a terrific value. We love Costa Rica. The people are wonderful. This place is safe, clean, and really well located. There are great restaurants in town and the owners really help to make sure it's a great experience.
