Dont hesitate to book! Right on the beach. Great boutique hotel. Lots of dining options around the area. We met lots of returning guests that have been going there for years. Rolando and Carla were amazing. Thank you for your hospitality. Pura Vida

This is our third time staying at Hotel La Palapa which probably says more than anything else I can say! The staff is great, the rooms are clean and the beach is just steps away.

We sat at the Hotel La Palapa beach bar several times during our stay in Tamarindo. Sublime setting?: Check. Friendly waitstaff?: Check [All great but especially enjoyed our time with Marlon]. Delicious food?: Check. Cold beer?: Yes, please! Great place to catch the sunset, listen to live music and catch the sea breeze. Also, most beach bars have a post-sunset 'fire show.' A bit touristy for sure but the two women at La Palapa were absolutely the best. Great music and choreography!

This place is right on the beach! It has its own parking and its own private area with chairs and hammocks. It is right next to a restaurant and on a Saturday night we could hear distant music (not from the restaurant). Suite 1 is spacious with just about a full kitchen, and the A/C worked well. Staff is really nice. Would definitely stay here again if we're looking for the energy of Tamarindo.

10/10 cannot recommend enough, although I would prefer to keep this place secret so I can afford to keep coming back! If I’m being REALLY nitpicky, I would say it’s a slight inconvenience to have the restaurant on site but no way to charge purchases to my room. I understand La Palapa restaurant is separate from the hotel, but this small tweak would make the entire experience more seamless and even more paradise-y as a guest at the hotel. Again, being very nitpicky, I also wish breakfast was included and the restaurant opened earlier for guests to have breakfast (from 8a-10a, for example) before it’s open to the general public. I would have absolutely eaten breakfast here everyday if that was the case.
