The hotel is being remodeled and is changing everything from floor to ceiling. We stayed in a fifth floor room that had been done, and I tell you this hotel will be the place to stay once they finish everything, and everyone will be very happy about the higher level of quality you will find. They tell me they will also do more in the lobby, and create an actual kitchen that should aid in a great breakfast benefit. The front desk person Mia was on the ball and helpful as can be, also spoke to Anthony and he also was determined to do whatever had to be done to assist. Great and convenient hotel.

I was very happily surprised with the beautiful room I had. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. The bathroom is a nice size and the walk in shower was a nice surprise. I was thrilled to see a microwave, mini fridge and coffee pot. A small sitting area completed the room. There is also a continental breakfast at no charge, which was awesome. I highly recommend Comfort Suites Fairgrounds.

Parking lot was covered in containers so we had a hard time finding safe parking. We were told on check-in there would be no housekeeping. The breakfast was "meh" so we chose to eat elsewhere our second morning. We regret staying here when there were multiple other options all around us.

I read that they were doing renovations, but that didn't bother me. The women who checked us in were top-notch. I originally booked two queens and they switched me to a king with no issues. Room was newly renovated and clean. Mattress was comfortable. Woke up in the morning and could not shower. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER! The young man at the front desk apologized, but stated he could do nothing about it. Very frustrating considering the cost for an out-of-the-way hotel.
