Been here a few times and usually had a decent stay but this time it seems it has gone downhill. First, check in had quite a long line. I've said this in other reviews and will continue to call out properties that have long check in lines. It is a terrible first impression. Guests waiting to check in havent usually come from next door...they have been driving, flying, etc and just want to get settled. A line at check in says the property doesnt really care. While it did move fairly quickly, it was a long line and a wait nonetheless. Our room was in the old tower and was basic and tired. It was clean and well stocked but dated. The ****** is huge, which is why we like this place -- we like big ******s where there is a lot of variety of games all under one roof. But there was absolutely no play here. Machines just ****** the money and it wasnt even fun after a while. We played multiple denominations, low limit, high limit, new games, older games and the result was the same. No wins. Now, we never expect to win, but at least play a little. And the comps here are nothing. Equal play at other major chains seems to get me a lot more. There was essentially minimal comps and free play earned on what I feel like was decent play. There should be more casual dining. Rise is decent but once youve been there for breakfast and lunch its repetitive. The food court looks underwhelming, is tucked away in a dark corner, and its overpriced. Constant Grind looks appealing but is limited in its menu. A few more casual places would be better. The real kicker is I asked for 1 hour late check out--- till noon. Was told it would be $50. That's complete nonsense for 1 hour (probably less). Funny, when I had to wait in line to check in and it was past the check in time, I didnt charge them for their delay. I refused to pay this especially after playing a lot. And the kicker was housekeeping knocked on the door before 11am even with the do not disturb on asking when we were leaving. I should charge them for the early check out! Unfortunately, there is not a lot of competition on the west coast of Florida right now for gaming. I hope this changes.
