Fairmont Tazi Palace Tangier

Going at the end of March, the hotel is located in the mountainous area on the outskirts of Tangier, Morocco, and the scenery is relatively good. But because it is Ramadan, there are not many basic guests, and the swimming pool is under maintenance. The buffet for $50 per person is relatively low cost, the food is not much and it is not added, the customer service staff basically does not understand English, and the communication is relatively difficult. Breakfast ordered a 200ml cup of orange juice, charged $12, a bit outrageous, of course, the room facilities reached the five-star standard. After leaving the hotel, I found that I had overcharged an inexplicable $250 and had asked the bank for a refund. The overall service level can be at the star level of 2-3. Not recommended, the price is too low.

I was welcomed very friendly by Hotelmanager Omar el B. I got this beautiful room with panoramic view of Tangiers and at the other side the swimming Pool. He goes far for his guests and speaks fluent Arabic, French and English. The hotel is tot a Golden Tulip hotel anymore but the service is still great. As an example I needed a top-up prepaid card for my mobile internet services and the crew went out and bought it for me. Every time I come back from outside the doormen welcomes me and the manager is always waving at me. It’s the second time I stayed here with the same experience and in August I will come back again to this beautiful hotel with great staff, spa and swimming pool were you can chill in peace without the noice from a busy city.

Don’t stay here! These people are thieves from start to finish. In October 2022 I booked one room for two nights for January 2023, then a few days prior to arriving, booked an additional room for the two nights. The front desk claimed I never booked the rooms in October. I showed them the confirmation email, which they asked that I forward to them. They checked us in and told us they would sort it out and get back to me. They had me make a partial payment for the stay at check in. The next day they asked me when I was paying for the 2nd night. I told them I would pay anytime and asked if they had sorted out the reservation. They said yes and told me I owed 1,000 euro. Mind you the rooms are less than $100.00 usd per night, so this seems strange that the total could e anything greater than $400.00, but having already made a partial payment, this number was absurd. When I questioned it, they backtracked and told me I owed about 1,600 Durham per night (which was the reservation rate total for two nights for the room booked a few days before arriving). They then told me that same rate applied to the first booking, even though I have an email stating the room was 964 diram per night. They said that email was not from the hotel. I pointed out that it was their company’s email domain. They said Le Royal was a big company and they don’t know who sent that email - really???? At one point they brought someone they said was from central reservations. He just kept pointing to a piece of paper and refusing to listen or discuss the issue. I opened my laptop and showed them they are marketing the rate for 890dirham that night (about 100 dirham less than what my confirmation listed) and asked why I would pay twice that…it was at this point the stupid little man from ‘central reservations’ ran out the front door, leaving me again to deal with the front desk. The staff were rude, indignant and unprofessional, but clearly skilled thrives - Le Royal should be proud of the team they have assemble at this outdated antique. Nothing nice or impressive about this hotel, but with the added thievery, definitely a place to avoid. Unless you really want to seek crooks in action, sleeping in the streets of Tangier would be a better experience than this place. Save your money, self respect, and time by staying elsewhere. Worst hotel experience in Morocco, ever (and I have stayed in a lot of Moroccan hotels)!

I stayed at a total of 3 hotels in Tanger, and this is the place. It's the best. The location is inside the village, so at the entrance There is a security and there are 10 rooms in total. It's very luxurious. You can park right in front of you Good room condition and hotel in Morocco There are about 20 places, and this is the best wifi. 끊김없고. The downside is that there seems to be a difference in each room. My room had no refrigerator and it was a naturally friendly hotel. There are a lot of ants in the room. Drinks and sweets. I think you should manage it well. And the pool is very nice, but it's under construction. We're not operating now. Overall, it is one of the best hotels in Morocco.

This hotel was a real problem from the start. The booking was made mistakenly while holidaying in Morocco thinking it was Ibis Tangier central location. My sister and I tried to rectify the problem on many occasions before our check in but it was just mission impossible to cancel our booking. We tried on the premises as a last attempt once we realised how FILTHY and SMELLY the whole place is. The cancellation page come as ”error” every single time even if the information required are: name + reservation number. At 4 o'clock in the morning and having been fast asleep; my sister and I were suddenly awoken by the smashing noise of our door lock closing. I run to the door and opened it to see the back of a tall guy wearing black clothing (We have no idea how long he was inside). He turned back towards me, giving me a dark look as if I was the intruder than continues nonchalantly towards the elevator as absolutely nothing has happened. The first floor corridor was well lit and there was no one else on that long and grabby corridor but him. He did not seem to be checking on any other adjacent rooms. It was too obvious that we were somehow a target as he came straight to our room and went away again. No one else complained about a similar incident in the morning. Astonishingly in this country, not only you give your Passport or Id details to the hotel secured in the booking system with a password...etc But it seems there is an undisclosed GRABBY BOOKLET where they too keep your details in it. And who has access to it ?! Needless to say that my sister and I were both shaky. THERE IS NO HOTEL PHONE IN THE ROOM TO CALL RECEPTION AND ASK FOR HELP. THERE IS NO SECURITY CHAIN OR BOLT INSIDE THE DOOR. Make no mistakes, intruders UNSCUPULOUSLY in this hotel can access your room as they had a spare electronic card to every room. We could not go back to sleep and had all sorts of scenarios unfolding in front of us until the sunrise. In the morning and to our great horror we were told that NOT ONLY reception desk is closed at 11 pm (so even if we cried for help NO ONE WAS there) but ALSO the only person present last night on the premises was the SECURITY GUY. After identifying him, we could not believe that the violator of female guests privacy while fast asleep and possibly intent to some sort of harm was the very one in charge of guests security!!!!
