We had a last minute change with my husband and my father (52, and 83) to Taormina and so it was a challenge with very little prep time where to stay in a vertical place with my elderly father who is in good shape but challenged by long walks, inclines and extreme heat. We did it all-- close to the bus station (4 minutes), Corso Umberto (8 minutes), the Antico Teatrico and the view cannot be beat. There's souvenir shops and a mini mart within 4 minutes walk and the cable car is also only 5 minutes away. My husband and I enjoyed the pool and the views. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning before leaving. No one could be more helpful or nicer in this hotel.
CONS: It's a steep driveway to climb up and down for the elderly. Watching my dad in either direction was a little dicey and with his blood thinners I did not want him to take a spill.
PROS: Everything else.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with views to die for. Our room no. 121 had the most amazing and spacious balcony with stunning views of the beach below. Our room was very spacious, quiet with great air conditioning. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. We had dinner on the balcony and that was excellent. My only issue was that when we asked for an iron and iron board to be delivered the iron board was very small, the type that you have to place it on top of something or lie on the floor which made it extremely difficult and frustrating to iron anything. If a normal iron board had been available then everything would have been absolutely perfect.

Highly recommend this hotel. Fabia and Vivienne looked after us so well! Location is excellent - we arrived by bus from the airport - bus terminal is a stone's throw from the hotel. 5 minute stroll from the hotel and you are in the centre of town with lots of restaurants to choose from. Lovely pool (would hope that it stays open past 6pm in the hight of summer, we were there in May so cannot confirm). Cable car to Isola Bella is also on the doorstep. Really couldn't beat the location. Rooms were kept very clean - and again, very friendly staff - the same at breakfast. Would definitely return!!

This 4 star hotel is set in a great position overlooking the coast. It is a gorgeous place with traditional Sicilian decor. The pool area is most enjoyable and the service is impeccable yet without being pretentious. Our room on level 2 was quiet and very comfortable, although we think the bedding might warrant a tweak to take it from comfortable to luxe. Wifi and all services were impeccably good. It has a steep driveway to navigate in and out but staff are on hand to assist. You can spend serious $$ in Taormina but we thought the luxury offered by this hotel was very good value for what we paid

Sehr schönes altehrwürdiges italienisches Hotel mit geschmackvoller Einrichtung in bester, sehr ruhiger Aussichtslage und kurzen Wegen zu Innenstadt und Seilbahn. Extrem freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Kleiner Parkplatz mit Einparkservice. Zimmer mit Augenmaß renoviert. Kleines Abendrestaurant mit Barbereich. Ordentliches Frühstück mit Blick über die Küste. Der schöne Pool ist leider unbeheizt, kleine Poolbar vorhanden.

Hotel Vicinissimo al centro storico, che ho ritrovato di una bellezza straordinaria , ma nello stesso tempo fuori dalla zona più caotica , varcato il loro cancello la pace , affaccio dal terrazzo con vista panoramica spettacolare dove poter gustare ottimi aperitivi con Isola Bella difronte, accanto la funicolare per andare giù . Gli interni eleganti e ben curati , ho letto recensioni sulla discesa ripida all’ ingresso ma nulla di che ‘, Taormina è fatta di salite e discese . Inoltre un ottimo ristorante appena fuori dall’ hotel ( osteria da Nino dove abbiamo mangiato benissimo) che dire di più … vorrei già tornare!

Très bon hôtel avec un personnel très gentil et aux petits soins. Très silencieux et avec une vue magnifique sur la baie. Restaurant très bon sur place. Petit dej très varié. Ne pas hésiter à réserver une place de parking car c’est compliqué d’accès et pour se garer à proximité. Proche de la rue principale à pied.

Nous avons séjourné 3nuits dans cet hôtel, bien placé à 5min du centre touristique de Taormina. Le service est excellent. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons pris nos bagages, et garée notre voiture, il faut laisser les clés à la réception car les places sont serrées. Attention à la descente depuis la route assez pentue, mais si vous hésitez, le personnel peut vous monter la voiture à l’entrée. Belle chambre (116), avec terrasse. Tout était très propre, literie confortable. Bon snacking au bord de la piscine, ouvert de 11h à 17h, serviettes à disposition. Buffet petit déjeuner très copieux, et dîner excellent, nous y sommes revenu 2 soirs de suite. Tout le personnel est très sympathique et très serviable, mention spéciale à Giovanni et la dame parlant Français. Décoration d’un style « d’époque » mais très bien entretenue. Travaillant également dans l’hôtellerie, je recommande à 100%.
