La Plage Resort

"We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area. We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella. The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle. A really lovely touch. Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too! The service was impeccable from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are AMAZING and so attentive. The food is delicious. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Thank you everyone in La Plage for making our stay so perfect. We can’t wait to come back"

"It was my first time traveling on my own, and also my first time looking for a hotel on a map. The most important thing is that this time the experience was great, without any disappointments. I drove up from the foot of the mountain thinking that the hotel I booked was very high up in the mountain, but it turned out to be in the center. It was very convenient to go everywhere. It's a beautiful place and you can take pictures in any way you want. It is worth recommending!"

Bay Palace Mazzarò

"The view of the hotel and also the location justify the price. Spectacular view of the sea and excellent location to reach both the free beach or equipped lido near the structure (5/6 minutes on foot) and to reach Isola Bella (10/15 minutes max on foot) and also to reach the cable car that takes you to Taormina (10' max on foot). In any case it is also close to the bus stop. Quiet swimming pool and always with an excellent sea view. Parking a little expensive and a little inconvenient (there are 4/5 parking spaces on a steep climb) but there is no alternative other than parking on the street (very few spaces) or in the nearest parking lot which is in the cable car square at a higher price. The breakfast is not bad but something more could be added and above all I strongly recommend displaying the cards with the description of the product both in Italian and English given the massive presence of foreigners. The structure needs to be improved (rejuvenated) but I think they are working on it. The rooms are quite large and with a nice terrace. Small adjustments can make the difference for this property which I believe, given its location, has excellent potential... but obviously the price would then increase."

"The scenery is beautiful, the price fluctuates greatly, it is worth it within 2000. I added 60 euros to change to a sea view room and breakfast, which is a great deal. The attitude of the service staff is so good, better than a five-star hotel"

Hotel Rivage Taormina

"We chose this hotel based on price and proximity to Taormina, but we were really pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The decor was fresh and modern and the hotel seemed better than a 3 star. The place was spotless - the cleaners were constantly at work. We had a deluxe room (209), which was spacious and had a large oceanfront balcony with two sun loungers and a table with two chairs. Bathrobes and slippers were provided and there was a rain shower. The water pressure was great. The lift is slow, but we only used it for our cases. There was a good selection at breakfast for the size of the hotel. It was quite quiet when we were there, as it was towards the end of the season. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and were able to answer any questions we had. The hotel has its own beach club, which served great food and drinks and was staffed by the same people we saw at breakfast. Sun loungers and parasols were available free of charge for hotel guests, though you cannot reserve the front couple of rows. The small pool area was a peaceful oasis and the cabana beds are a lovely touch. Letojanni itself was a great base. We didn't have a car and it was easy to get the bus to/from Taormina. The sea is great for swimming, though drops off sharply so may not be suitable for children. The beach is stony - don't expect golden sand. There are lots of restaurants to choose from here, if you don't wish to eat in Taormina in the evening, and these are far more reasonably priced. We enjoyed meals at Arco Rosso (ridiculously cheap) and Ristorante Da Nino. Would 100% recommend this hotel. The only suggestion I would make is to put a chest of drawers in the room for more storage."

"A very lovely property, nestled in a tranquil setting: we spent a wonderful weekend relaxing in the silence that surrounds the property, perfect for unwinding from the daily grind. The spa is very pleasant, well-maintained, and ideal for indulging in a few hours of pure well-being. The breakfast room is also excellent, bright and with a truly breathtaking view of Her Majesty Mount Etna, making waking up even more special. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and attentive, ready to accommodate every request with a smile. Overall, it was a very positive experience that we recommend to anyone seeking relaxation, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere."

"The hotel is right on Caparena beach. The shuttle service that runs to the center of Taormina until late is very convenient. The external part of the hotel is very beautiful, very well looked after: garden, beach and pool area. The rooms need to be reviewed: we had two rooms on the ground floor, rather obsolete: I would invest in a minimum of restyling. Overall very satisfying experience"
