Hotel "La Pensione Svizzera"

We spent four days at this lovely small hotel. The location was advantageous, within walking distance of the major attractions, restaurants, and the cable car. The views from our room were spectacular. But the best asset of this hotel is the staff. They were beyond helpful and cheerful. We strongly recommend you make this your place to stay while in Taormina.

We had a lovely stay at La Pensione Svizzera. The location of your hotel was perfect , the staff was lovely, the rooms were comfortable with spectacular views, and the breakfast was delicious and had a beautiful setting. My husband and I and our other couple we were traveling with would definitely recommend it to our friends in the future.

Beautiful view from a lovely room in a great location. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even helping us arrange transportation with our next hotel. There are some stairs that are unavoidable but fewer than most places in Taormina.

The hotel was excellent for us as a couple. Online reservations were simple and we reserved a room with a window view. On arrival however we were given a room with a balcony, a lovey little upgrade. The balcony is small but still lovey for a couple to sit outside and have a drink over the beautiful bay below, and lovey to see the sunrise. The room is very clean and like the pictures on the website. Beds very comfortable and bathroom spacious and great shower and water pressure. The breakfast was very good, coffee made as you like and enough sweet and savory dishes to start your day. Loved the fresh ricotta cheese with some bread and honey! The views from the breakfast room were also wonderful and made you want to linger. Hotel is a small and quaint property located a couple of minutes walk from the bus terminus which was extremely convenient as we arrived by bus from Catania. When you exit the hotel, the cable car station that takes you down to the coast is also a couple of minutes walk away (opposite direction of bus terminal) and a couple of minutes further you are at the Messina gate which is one end of the pedestrian street in Taormina. A great location and value for money, approximately 25 rooms and very friendly staff that made our two day stay in Taormina perfect. We also conveniently took the bus to Catania Airport which was about an hour and 45 minutes with a few stops back in Catania itself.
