We moved from our first room, as the tv didn’t work, and were given a suite. Which was nice of them. However, the next room was dirty and run down. Carpets and upholstery was stained, and there were bugs at the window, so you couldn’t open the window. The concrete on the stairways and by the pool were all crumbling too. Needs a face lift. Having said that. The pool was huge, and very nice. The food we had at the bar was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property is a bit of a drive away from the downtown area.

Visited based on positive reviews. Overall nice facilities, clean, room in good condition. Big indoor pool. Lots of pets around. Front desk understaffed. Breakfast in the restaurant just ok. Not walkable to the cute downtown Taos area. Next time would find a hotel closer to town.

Peaceful and serene. We found the location perfect. We ate two meals in the bar, enjoying happy hour prices. Meals were excellent. The staff was welcoming and helpful, checking in on our comfort as we passed by the desk. We needed urgent care for medicine refills, and a facility was only two blocks away, as well as pharmacies, coffee shops, and shopping. The rooms were spacious and well kept up. We will definitely return. One of the best experiences of our three-week journey.

Very comfortable place to stay and the hotel receptionist was very pleasant and went out of her way to accommodate my request to change to a different room and the first one was not very nice. She also made a great suggestion for a restaurant.

The property was comfortable and charming. The artwork and furnishings added to my appreciation. My checkin was easy, and staff was friendly and helpful. Having an indoor pool was a big plus for me. The room was spacious, with everything I needed.

We were there on a retreat of 30 women, not always an easy crowd to please. The staff was very helpful especially the thermostat in the room, too cold in the morning and too hot in the afternoon but they found a way to make it just right. The rooms were very clean, recently painted, clean carpet and new tile in the bath rooms. The bar staff and kitchen staff were delightful and the food was good. We will be back next year.

The restroom was not properly cleaned when I checked in. Found hair in the bathroom floor and tub. I stayed there 3 nights and I wanted clean towels and toilet paper. But, when I called around 4:00pm , they said that I had to wait until the next day because the housekeeper was already off work and they didn’t come in until 9:00am. I would think they had a storage room with these items. The lobby receptionist gave me an impression that she didn’t want to help or be bothered. The restaurant food was not good. I ordered chicken fingers for my daughter and they were not fully cooked. But Taos has a lot of good restaurants not to far from the hotel. So we knew to eat out and not at the hotel.

The king bed suite was small for four. The king bed was a good nite sleep. The sofa bed was not a good quality bed nor was the couch. Minimal necessities provided. Room was clean and warm. Other than the annoyance of noisy neighbors it’s a typical motel set up. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t excellent.

Skip this hotel. In fact, skip Taos altogether. This place is dated with nothing to do. The entire area is dusty & dated. Rooms far from reception. No elevators. No housekeeping. The pool room has no heating & was frigid. The breakfast was the worst meal we had all trip at Palattes. Front desk staff really not very helpful, except Renee. Skip this place & head to Monte Sagrado if you must visit Taos.
