"Taos is a very unique hotel. The rooms have a cave hotel feel, and I really liked the decor. The breakfast was quite plentiful, especially the big fireplace next to the room, which made me feel at home."

"This resort could very well be a 4 star. It probably once was. We originally were staying in the Egyptian suite. This suite needs some very deep cleaning and renovation. The shower area smelled of mildew. The decorative pillars in the shower were of needed repair. Our amenities in our bathroom were limited. There was no shampoo or conditioner The Q tip package was opened. After requesting to speak to a manager, the staff handled it very well and moved us to a new suite (Jerome, very professional). The new suite was the Kama Sutra themed room. Unfortunately, the shower was also covered in mold. The chairs provided at a table were in very bad condition. The gaps in the doors and windows allowed bugs of all sort into our suite. There was also a window that we had to force close. The windows haven’t been cleaned in quite some time with all the dead bugs and spider webs present. We are also still mind boggled that the bed is located directly under sky lites. So much for wanting to sleep longer than 5am. Besides no hair dryer in the room along with only one robe and no complimentary slippers, this upscale resort lacked even the basic of amenities. The entire place is in need of a deep cleaning. The general manager needs to be fired. He or she does a great job of not being seen. As a business person who has worked in hospitality, this place reflects poor management and ownership."

"Very wonderful stay experience: the house is hundreds of years old: every place has traces of history, reflected in the shower feeling to reduce points. Others are very good, breakfast is very thoughtful: there is a menu for guests to choose one night in advance, the menu is meticulous, and the content of a whole page of A4 paper for guests to choose: drinks, bread, fruit, eggs, etc. There are several choices. Very thoughtful. The proprietress also provided her master breakfast main course every day. The older (about 80 years old) slightly hunched hostess personally took it to the guest's table, feeling like an elderly mother taking care of the children who grew up. Very warm stay time, great!"

"Hard to navigate and find at night. Minimal instructions communicated upon booking as to how to get your key and where your room is. Not good or no signage for property, parking, check in etc. the owner answered when I called right away and was kind. I loved the setting, layout and idyllic spot. The stars at night are beautiful and the location is close driving to all you’d need. The room was super cute. Nice decor and layout. The fireplace is the biggest win. It was a cozy, quaint and quiet place to stay. It was in need of vacuuming. Bed and sheets clean and had all you needed to stay. It was a thoughtful set up with ceiling fan, heat, coffee, glassware, fridge and ice available. If there was a hot tub we may come back, but will check other areas next time."
